For my whole life I felt so isolated and not human compared to everyone else I knew, my friends, my classmates. I always got teased got my interests and hobbies, than one day I was sitting in the kitchen of my grandmas house watching the TV and that's when I hear the tune of "we are the crystal gems." And the color palette caught my attention. I remember watching the whole ep and thinking how Steven was like me, a energetic curious kid. Around that time I moved to mexico, a whole new place not knowing enough Spanish to speak but I knew what everyone was saying I just felt more alone. During this time I found out garnet was a fusion and I was fascinated that two people TWO WOMEN can have romantic love, one more reason I felt isolated, I never knew later on in life garnet would be the one to show me that its okay, i’m okay, for loving a girl. When I moved back to the US I was still watching the show, peridot came into the picture and I remeber always doing her voice. Tho I still felt very isolated at least I had something that can help me threw it, I made a few friends because of this show and it was amazing. Moving to a new school was hard, but all I did in class is draw steven universe characters. This show inspired a talent I never knew I had, the passion to imagine something on a piece of paper. I loved it. It was towards season 4 I lost interest for nearly a year but than change your mind and the movie came out and than my love for it came back. I remember after I watched the movie I was in class and than I drew my own characters for a show I didn't know the story yet but you can tell it was inspired by SU, then that week I decided that I wanted to make a show, I wanted to make a show as impactful at this. When future came out I didnt know what to expect but god is was so weirdly specific with everything I went threw, everyone changing and stuff. Then the finale came out and I CRIED. Hearing being human made me feel that no matter how long I can feel human and loved. Thank you for this, I can never move on from this show. I wrote an entire three-paragraph about this on another video, but I can probably write a 10-page essay on why I rewatch this show, over and over again. I can't write well, and it's hard to describe the whimsical effects this show creates for its viewers.
This is too much T_T, ive practically got through junior high and my 1st semester of college with steven universe and its so hard to accept that a legendary cartoon is now resting with a great and unforgettable legacy left behind

I cried within the first 2 minutes of this video (not gonna lie lmaoo). Hearing this cover hurt in the most painful yet beautiful way because with Steven Universe ending, it made me realize that my childhood is officially over & SU was one of those shows that truly helped me in an extremely confusing point of my life. So basically on Steven universe early season, steven is trying to be a gem because he can't use his powers. And in the Steven universe future, his powers became stronger and stronger until steven himself can't control his own powers and this song is talking about being human.
So basically young steven is trying to be a gem. But now old steven is trying to be a human

I'm glad a song was made about being human, it touches my heart in more ways to count. There are not enough songs to tell how hard it is to live, but being human shows, in my opinion, a great amount of it. Thank you for making this to remind us all how one person influenced so many lives.

Thank you for this, I can never move on from this show. I wrote an entire three-paragraph about this on another video, but I can probably write a 10-page essay on why I rewatch this show, over and over again. I can't write well, and it's hard to describe the whimsical effects this show creates for its viewers.

I cried within the first 2 minutes of this video (not gonna lie lmaoo). Hearing this cover hurt in the most painful yet beautiful way because with Steven Universe ending, it made me realize that my childhood is officially over & SU was one of those shows that truly helped me in an extremely confusing point of my life. Even now, seeing it end just seems surreal. But I know new shows will come along later than will continue to help kids & young adults like me with their own issues & things that are hard to address.
