E-Bike Question of the Day ⚡🚴 Are you more likely to take the Brawn on bold off-road adventures? Or bump its top speed down for laid-back rides on paved roads? Let us know in the comments below 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼
I have the Heybike brawn. It did not ship with the Tektro brakes. It has RSX brand hydraulic brakes, they seem to work pretty well, but I felt it should be pointed out. I ordered my bike on April 9th and got it on the 12th. I don't see anything on the website saying what kind of brakes it will ship with. Your milage may vary. Things I like about the Brawn, the dropper seat post is great for getting on and off the bike. I use it all the time. I keep the seat low to get on and when I get going I raise the seat up to riding level. The ap is a great way to keep track of rides and have the ability to adjust PAS levels and pedal assist sensitivity. Out of the box the PAS sensitivity is set to the lowest. Things I dislike or wish it had. I did not like the seat it shipped with, I ended up replacing it with something a bit softer. It's not bad, but not great. The handle bars are short, I ended up having to purchase a accessory bar to add a phone holder.
Got mine last week and after 5-6 efforts to connect with someone HeyBike, no luck, no customer service. So far, the bike is wonderful but my battery doesn't hold a charge very well, short range. Energy bar on the display shows way different energy % left. Parked my bike at work after 24km somewhat hilly ride, app shows 88% left. After work, bike was sitting there all day, shows only 49%. I start riding home and halfway, after maybe 12kms, my battery is dead. Had to stop where there was a plug, a local cafe was perfect spot. Had a beer, charged to 51%, started riding and only got 10km far. Dead battery again. Had to call my wife with the VOlvo 240 to come and pick me up, 4 kms from home. SO FRUSTRATING. I'll try again tmrw. starting with 100% battery and recharging at work. Fingers crossed.
Hello guys I just buy this heybike brown bike and it’s really cool But I have a question how can I use the Cruise control ??🫠 And after 120km i have a front brake problem and some noise
Overall I like your videos, but I wish that you would show a side view for your brake testing instead of the overhead. The overhead view doesn't actually provide any useful information for me. A side view would show how the suspension reacts, if the brakes lock up, and whether there is any instability, while still showing the distance travelled. You could probably just switch out the overhead views and nobody would be able to tell from one video to the next.
The app doesn't work. My phone will connect to headphones, speakers, tablets, and other phones but it won't connect to my Brawn. Update: 4/27/23. The app is working now and top speed is unlocked to 39 mph but I've only gone 33.5 mph. I'll probably go faster at some point.
Neither, too heavy and no rear suspension. I owned a very similar bike and am way happier with my new Eunorau UHVO full suspension, 27.5X3" inch wheels and tire and still heavy at 58 pounds but so much better on trails and riding around on the broken up streets where I live. It cost about the same and even though it only has a top speed of 20 mph and a 500watt, I don't really notice and it is able to carry much more speed over rough terrain and battery range is great too. Way too much emphasis on these monster bikes and the quest for more power these days.
I bought the Brawn based on this review and I am not disappointed in the least. EVERYTHING you pointed out is true true true. My dog loves to ride with me and people on the street love the look of this machine. Thanks for a great review! " my other car is an e-bike"
came with a stripped stem, waited a week for that part and the display is whacked; no response from Heybike-it's beautiful bike, but no idea how it rides as it just sits-likely getting returned...be cautious with this new company.
We'll have to do a post on the website to answer the question better, but the short version is mountain bikes need to be a bit more nimble and agile to take on true mountain bike trails. This is plenty equipped for handling dirt and gravel in wider, open areas though.
@@usafa76 the Brawn is big, it's heavy and the tires are huge, making for a more combersome bike. Actual mountain bikes are much lighter with thinner tires and much easier to manage when whipping around on the trails.

Bump top speeds on some laid back roads for sure +

My Heybike brawn is badass
You can get the back rack for this bike though right? It just doesn't come with it.
Needs Fenders & a rear rack.
Judging by the changes to Heybike's website, it appears as though those things are now standard.
Saint George... nice
Bingo!
re charge time.....available in uk?
I would never buy this bike.....I just bought a Magnum Ranger because of the adjustable Handlebars and the forward pedal positioning.
How do you like it?
@@ElectricBikeReport 1st ride was today..10 miles..Good throttle & Very comfortable..=)
You ever gonna review the Revi Cheetah?
We'd be open to it, but we aren't currently in contact with them.
Why is this not considered a mountain bike?

@@ElectricBikeReport OK, thank you, however I'm wondering what specific characteristic of this bike makes it less nimble and agile?

@@18andlikeit Got it, thank you.
great bike but maybe they can have option for 500w brawn, because here in canada 750w is illegal
Love Hey Bikes I would absolutely love to own one someday!❤
