Any visitors in here searching for a way to hard reset your controller, I could not find the method anywhere on the Internet. But no worry because this video is the next best thing. To reset your controller back to the default settings (whether a Heybike or other bike using the pictured display), the best way to do that is to write down each of the settings in this video, then manually going through yours and "resetting" each to what's shown in this video. Note: this video is for the Heybike 2023 display shown, other Heybikes, and e-bikes are different. I corrected the settings in mine, tweaked the tire size and max speed limit, now my Mars 2.0 is hauling a$$ like it should be (getting 32 mph top speed).
Man I've been searching for a navigating guide since December 18th! I've watched dozens of videos and no one ever does what you just did...awesome and thanks!
Great that you went through every setting. I was able to do a "soft reset" of the controller settings: going one by one, putting my settings back to the defaults shown in your video (on my Mars 2.0 which has the same display). On my bike toward the end settings mine were totally messed up. E.g., at 8:26 the "P6 1" - "Gear PWM" setting, yours shows the default is "89" - mine showed it set to "255". And on all the other gears, mine were set to "255" too. I have no idea how that happened, this is a new bike. Bottom line: I tested the bike after putting the settings back to default (but changing the max speed limit to 63 km, and the wheel size to 25" (may set it to 29" so to fool the sensor and get a few MPH faster out of the bike). The bike performed a lot better, and faster too because I changed the upper speed limit and wheel size.
It is a comment like this that makes me happy to do it and spend the time. If you help 1 person...It truly makes it worth it. Did you ask in a FB group on needing help. I could swear I saw a comment in FB asking and if you did...Its great you found mine helpful. I didd not respond to the FB one because mine is a V1 not 2. GLad it helped!
Never letting anyone down with a reasonable request. You go Bruce. Hope you had a nice Labor Day Weekend. BTW. Going to be a grandpa again. This is number4 by my oldest. My youngest 32 getting married in 3 weeks. No kids YET!!!
TY Chasbro. Thats awesome! We have grandbaby #2 on the way as well from our youngest. I see you released a video around when I left for a cruise. I will get over to watch it soon. Best of luck with you and yours. Enjoy the wedding in 3 weeks. ;-)
Can I use a 52volt rhino ebattery in a heybike brawn would I change settings at all will it increase range or speed would I need a new controller I noticed it has settings for 52 and 72 volts does that mean u could will it break catch fire anything like that
My headlight turned on while rolling it to garage. The only way to turn it off is to remove battery. Replacing battery the light is on aga. Never had a problem before. Brawn electric bike
Ya it adapts naturally to light outside if u bump it accidently I didn't know that button existed for a long time had me thinking it's busted or had a gremlin in it or something
Why the 1-5 level. Level 0 is to not use the motor (no power). So is 1-5 to always use the motor. Seems like you always want the ability to use no power level 0.
SOme people do not like using zero. They always want power to start with. If zero is used it always powers up at zero. Some don't like it. My Wife for one. Im indifferent because I have lots of bikes.
@@RVEnthusiast That is interesting. My BBS02 always powers up at level 1. Did not know some started at zero. The BBS02 is programable, so that might be optional do not remember. I guess if someone had it set to 1-5 they can always turn power off to get no assistance. What I have done if I,m trying to conserve juice is ride in zero and the put it up when I want juice and back down to Zero to conserve energy. This works well on a gradual downhill.

Thank you! The display light was so bright in my eyes riding at night was really hard to see. Now I know how to dim it. 👌

There is an auto switch under the shifter. turn it off and auto on off will stop. On right of handlebars. A little hard to see/find..

Do you think putting a 72v battery will make it faster ?
Not without a controller then you need a new display
@@RVEnthusiast thank you for responding
@@RVEnthusiast what kind of controller would make it go fasts like 40-45mph ?
Can u post the list plz
What list u talking about
Can we mess with the battery to go faster mph?
