- Mumbai has the highest number of skyscrapers and high-rise buildings in India, almost 200 skyscrapers and 5,600 high-rise buildings currently exist in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Delhi-NCR has also witnessed a massive construction boom in the last 20 years with around 16 skyscrapers and 5,200 high-rise buildings already been constructed in the region. Kolkata has 12 existing skyscrapers and around 800 completed high rise buildings. Bangalore, Pune, and Surat also have numerous high-rise buildings.
Hyderabad has topped high-rise launches in South India. Of the 1,178 projects launched in the top seven cities in 2021, approximately 614 were high-rises. In 2019, over 603 of 960 projects were high-rises. Newly launched projects include apartments, villas and row houses, and independent floors. With this, Hyderabad has topped high-rise launches in South India.

Just wait and let complete the mumbai Trans harbour link and coastal road project and then see the area of Mumbai after that...Right now there is no good connectivity to south and central mumbai except eastern and western highway and that's why people don't choose to live in any outer part of city like Navi mumbai, Panvel, kalyan but once above mentioned projects will get completed Mumbais development will be like 'BOOM'.

To be honest MumbaiS geographical structure is very attractive to be a international city like dubai or shaghai. There are many views in mumba from where you can see beautiful sea as well as city from other side for example marine drive which is of curved shape. Many creeks are there in many mumbai. But the poor management and less attention from the government is manking mumbai worst. Roads and infrastructure is not worth of it at all. No planning of city.

Bangalore is very big in area. Bangalore city is expanding(741km^2 presently)but Bangalore urban is 2196km^2. If still area not enough there is Bangalore rural which is another 2000km^2+ so.. There is enough for the city to space to expand horizontal rather than vertically. As Metro and suburban rail projects expand Bangalore city expands(these Bangalore urban and Bangalore rural is considered as district)
