Renders!! Renders!! Renders!! Specially with Darren it is such beautiful design. The sketch does not do him justice as he deserves!! We need the full design❤
Beautiful hand sketches are a lost art and should be respected. Renders suck out the charm and tend to lock people into a very solid, fixed idea. Respect the creative process.
@@kdaveson I actually madly loved the sketches, and the moodboard-esque inspo pieces. They made me feel things, as do high fashion sketches and swatches. Plus, I'm always one for open-ended solutions. But this isn't an actual project where the interior designer is going to physically actualise their vision, playing around in the process. It ends here for the designer. So essentially now the open-endedness is for the named CLIENT in the video (or perhaps the viewers) and not the interior designer to take advantage of. "Respect the creative process" is a misnomer - essentially you're now LEAVING the creative process to the client. Which I would love as the client - it's a beautifully arranged landscape for me to project my own vision onto it! But that's got nothing to do with the interior designer. I have my own aesthetic preferences in mind, but would've loved to take a peek into a cohesive rendering of the artist's actual vision - how do the textures, colours and layering of those inspo pieces meld together in a way that's entirely theirs? How does it actually play out in the actual dimensions of the space? (It has been said that creativity doesn't exist without constraints.) The interior designers themselves decide the rendering outcome. 1 solution could've been multiple renderings with different scenes, to convey the open-ended CONCEPT to their audience. As I said, I madly love the hand drawn sketch as a visual medium, and it would've been great if it had then transitioned into multiple renderings just to provoke their audience's imagination with some possibilities as to how it COULD translate into real life. Otherwise, the audience is going to project their own fixed internal scripts onto the drawing. UA-cam is a highly visual medium and it just seems such a waste of its raw power to tell stories. As an example, the oral and written medium are very powerful too - I love being told stories by way of words, but clearly here we want to capitalise on what this particular platform offers.
I love that he sketches so much too. But I also see the benefit of a rendering - to see how it would play out for real in the room. A middle ground could be that he really does "sketches" with the real dimensions in mind - not slightly adjusted to fit your vision. And if those are then painted with the colors he chose 😘
love that you are using "very real spaces" we don't need to see redesigns of huge already glamorous homes. this is where the real skill is. love to see Darren walk through his thought process
Darren is back!! I love love seeing his designs and get a glimpse of his creative mind every time he explains his reasoning behind every decision he makes.
I love all the suggestions, I just wish that your drawings were photo renderings like on the three designers videos. The color renderings really bring to life all of Darrens good ideas.
after seeing his designs in the videos where they can do whatever they want i'm very surprised and impressed at his ability to give the client this much consideration as his tastes were very unique and strong
Darren Jett is an absolute gem. I love the way he lays out his thought patterns and logic for his designs; each one designed around a moment or feeling. Would I want every single one of his designs in my own home? No, we don't always share the same style. But I can respect where he's coming from and appreciate his brilliance.
LOVE Darren! He has such great vision, and it's amazing how he celebrates different people and adjusts designs to fit them. Please do more of these with him!
Fantastic video. I love hearing the thought process that goes into redesigning a room. It's much more valuable than simply looking at before and after photos.
Lovely to see a designer bust out the trace and sketch beautifully. Ignore all the boring requests for renders - people need to understand and respect that most designers' creative process does NOT involve realistic renders at every single stage.
I am greatly into these videos cz these enhance our interest and zeal towards designing and at the same time demonstrates that these stuffs can be pretty tough but it's a really fun thing to do. Loved the designs, these designs have always intrigued me, so I really love it! Make more of these videos and next time I want living room designs.
Agree, these are fabulous. Love being able to see the designers sketch out their ideas -- and the inclusion of photos of individual items for inspiration (e.g. the vanity, fringed stool).
Really wonderful - each was unique and really used the spaces to their best effect. Love Darren's energy and openness to less-than-perfect starting points!
Once again,Darren hits it out of the park! So far, this series and the one with the general contractor making suggestions for how to fix up older homes are the best AD have come up with..... more please, Give Darren his own show. I would love to see a project form start to finish- leaving out the fake drama on receives from HGTV
Great Advice. I had regular window blinds on my room which has a huge window, and it just looked bad for some reason. I added some large white curtains, and it completely changed the look and mood of my room. I couldnt understand why they made such a huge difference my room looked warmer, cozier, more inviting and more elegant after watching this video I understand why.
I feel I completely view bedrooms the same way he does, I love how he redesigned everything and how we were able to get the key aspects to make a space feel more cosy, personal or elevated ❤️
This series is so inspiring, I'm so excited to try some of these ideas in my own house! I love hearing the thought process and seeing the aspirational AD aesthetic applied to everyday rooms in 'real' houses.
This was fun to watch! Darren has such cool ideas and I like that no matter what his style choices are, he always adapts to what each person needs and wants.
In the other series, Darren's designs are always a little too outlandish for my taste. Love that he adjusted accordingly for this one! The rooms definitely came out much better. Bring in all the other designers please.
To the editor: why did we only get a 1-second view of the final sketch for each room? Darren's very considered preparations need a proper viewing to do them justice. So frustrating for viewers, and unfair to the creator! next time please let us have at least 4-5 seconds to take in each final design
This is the most amazing program I have seen on UA-cam. I have learned a lot about how design can help the function of the room. I am so impressed. Thank you ⭐
I absolutely love this. It's so realistic and helpful, which is such a great combination and exactly what I want to watch. I just took a look at my own small apartment bedroom and ended up rearranging stuff with his perspective in mind, and it looks so much bigger now!
Omg, the very first inspo photo with the graphic knitted throw-I believe that is from a 1970’s house and garden magazine, imprinted in my brain. Now I’m going to have to make it after all these decades!
As a new sub I don't know whether you do an update video showing those peoples revamped rooms or not but I'd love to see a before and after video anyway. Really great suggestions for each room, will look at my rooms in a new light!
A very helpful video! I too have a small, awkward NYC bedroom. You validated some ideas I had, but which scared me (esp. defining the space around the bed with drapes), and gave me lots of new ideas -- and all without resorting to exhorbitantly expensive solutions.
I would take the door and make it so it opens out instead of in. I did that to my bathroom and have all that wall space that use to be behind the door.
If not renders, I would love to see the drawings colored in!! I get the idea of the space from the hand drawings but I want to know how the color palette gets uh deployed in the space
This is a great segment. AD, keep going in this direction. Yes, it's fun to see how you design for the uber wealthy, but it's also inaccessible so it gets boring. This is both useful and fun.

I love how Darren always adjusts his visions to the personality of everybody. That‘s how you know he‘s a good interior designer.
this mans only solution is drapes/curtains.
Would absolutely LOVE a realistic render of the space with the current furniture and new additions and placements to really visualize the space
me too. i was missing that
Or you could just respect the beautiful hand sketches of a talented designer. Realistic renders are overrated.
@@kdaveson I do respect the hand sketches 100%, but in MY opinion, I'd be able to visualize the space better with its colours in a render.
It’s probably a budget thing
It's all about ideas. About how professional thinks. About creativity.
Final realistic render is not important here.
Renders!! Renders!! Renders!! Specially with Darren it is such beautiful design. The sketch does not do him justice as he deserves!! We need the full design❤

Super impressive how Darren is able to come up with totally different rooms, while respecting customer needs and the end results are stunning...
Darren is back!! I love love seeing his designs and get a glimpse of his creative mind every time he explains his reasoning behind every decision he makes.
I never knew I would be what I'm today after so much suffering, I saw a post about Mr David and I took a step to try him.
I remember friends calling me crazy when I started but now I shut up them with my four figure weekly return.
I deeply appreciate an opportunity to get such knowledge on how to make money. I look forward to investing more.
Please please please keep making collaboration with Darren! And I’m not saying that just cause he’s cute 😅His designs and vibe are great ✨
Darren’s energy and creativity are what the world needs right now! At least my world does! Thanks for the inspiration Darren xoxo
Love the 3D drawing rather than just a 2D layout 🥰 I want ALL of these rooms now!
Yes you could get that
I love all the suggestions, I just wish that your drawings were photo renderings like on the three designers videos. The color renderings really bring to life all of Darrens good ideas.

Yes a design option and process
Darren was so spectacular in the interior designer series that they gave him his own spotlight. Amazing, simply amazing ❤❤❤
I love Darren so much. Only thing missing from these videos is a short reaction from the people who submitted the picture
he's so good at what he does plus just seems like a great sweet guy i love him
Why would you not make your bed 😱before submitting a picture to AD and it potentially being viewed by millions is beyond me....! 😅 Great series btw!
Darren had some dope very achievable suggestions/designs. Hope you keep this vids coming!
THANKS, Man. Loved Amy’s, but also Cynthia’s closet, Nick’s blue-green, and Maya’s was particularly grownup. Cheers!
Would love a CGI of the final designs
true
Darren is perfect for this! He really considers the person behind the room. Nothing outrageous or over the top - very practical.
Lovely to see a designer bust out the trace and sketch beautifully. Ignore all the boring requests for renders - people need to understand and respect that most designers' creative process does NOT involve realistic renders at every single stage.
I love this video! More like this please! You can see how passionate he is
Darren absolutely killed it for Amy's teeny tiny bedroom, it's so inspired!
I love how affordable and achievable his designs are while still having a wow-factor.
He is so out of the box. I love his designs, so original!
I am greatly into these videos cz these enhance our interest and zeal towards designing and at the same time demonstrates that these stuffs can be pretty tough but it's a really fun thing to do. Living Room designs, you say? ua-cam.com/video/8P5smut8YT4/v-deo.html

Love this site! So inspiring. It's plain though, visual clutter reduces when you make your bed. It takes about 10-15 seconds.

I couldnt understand why they made such a huge difference

after watching this video I understand why.
This is AWESOME! Please turn it into a regular series!
That first design, AMAZING!
Darren rocks! I adore everything about him, so elegant, smart, quirkiy - LOVE 😍
And yes, to see a realistic render would impact to the series a ton
I feel I completely view bedrooms the same way he does, I love how he redesigned everything and how we were able to get the key aspects to make a space feel more cosy, personal or elevated ❤️
Darren Jett, I really like how you re-organized these 4 spaces. They look soo much better.
0:30 Amy (3:13 b/a)
3:20 Cynthia (5:03 b/a)
5:07 Nicholas (7:52 b/a)
7:57 Maya (10:29 b/a)
Oh I already love this. Darren’s design style is decadent and luxe. Do mine! 😩
This series is so inspiring, I'm so excited to try some of these ideas in my own house! I love hearing the thought process and seeing the aspirational AD aesthetic applied to everyday rooms in 'real' houses.
As he should! He indeed deserved his own series! But wouldnt it be nice to see those designs in reality?
Hurrah! Love this so much! Thanks from Norfolk UK. Would'be been so great to see them brought to life in a render.
Love his thoughtful space planning. Most people don't plan their spaces, they just pick their pieces.
This was fun to watch! Darren has such cool ideas and I like that no matter what his style choices are, he always adapts to what each person needs and wants.
Darren just has the most unique eye. I love everythin̈g he does!
He really said Nicholas just needs to clean his room 😂
In the other series, Darren's designs are always a little too outlandish for my taste. Love that he adjusted accordingly for this one! The rooms definitely came out much better. Bring in all the other designers please.
Curtain, curtain, curtain, curtainssss. I continue to be obsessed with Darren Jett ❤
Amazing, beautiful, practical advice for real people. I also have a tiny bedroom. I appreciated this
What I need… a lit drawing table & that paper Darren beautifully draws on. Oh I need Darren’s brilliant creativity too! 😍
To the editor: why did we only get a 1-second view of the final sketch for each room? Darren's very considered preparations need a proper viewing to do them justice. So frustrating for viewers, and unfair to the creator! next time please let us have at least 4-5 seconds to take in each final design
Wow, loves curtains in every room!
Darren is the man, always like his designs, I just wish on these videos his ideas could be visualised better, I’d love to see it.
This is the most amazing program I have seen on UA-cam. I have learned a lot about how design can help the function of the room. I am so impressed. Thank you ⭐
I love seeing Darren work. Super fun. I only wish we saw the final 'afters' in real life although I love to see his drawings.
I like that Cynthia’s issue is “needs a full sized mirror”, and not “wants a full sized mirror”😂
tbf, it is a need
These are great designs! I wish we could see them realized! Didn't any of them do what was proposed? Love to see it
I like the way he designs with a lot of curtains in mind. It always gives a bit more luxurious and also cozy feeling.
It is fun video :)
Love love loooove the first bedroom design!
I absolutely love this. It's so realistic and helpful, which is such a great combination and exactly what I want to watch. I just took a look at my own small apartment bedroom and ended up rearranging stuff with his perspective in mind, and it looks so much bigger now!
Get this guy a tv show/segment !!
The way Darren tears the trace paper with such confidence >>>
Darren is so much obsessed with doing curtains against walls, but I like the idea.
would absolutely love for darren to have his own channel his style is so interesting
Omg, the very first inspo photo with the graphic knitted throw-I believe that is from a 1970’s house and garden magazine, imprinted in my brain. Now I’m going to have to make it after all these decades!
What a graceful and talented professional!
As a new sub I don't know whether you do an update video showing those peoples revamped rooms or not but I'd love to see a before and after video anyway. Really great suggestions for each room, will look at my rooms in a new light!
This is great, would love to see the colors he mentions in the design! Love all of his designs!
please make this a series 🥺❤️
Would love to see if the people actually make some of these changes!!
Just discovered this channel and I am totally in love with Darren's energy and work 🥰
My “NEW”…to me, favorite designer ❤ Thank you!
Amy's case at 3:15: will not render the same way at all in real life, considering that the window isnt centrally placed on the wall.
Darren has a Wonderful outlook on Design. More More😊HGTV needs to grab him FAST!!!
A very helpful video! I too have a small, awkward NYC bedroom. You validated some ideas I had, but which scared me (esp. defining the space around the bed with drapes), and gave me lots of new ideas -- and all without resorting to exhorbitantly expensive solutions.
This is AD…why aren’t there full renderings? Of course Darren’s sketches are beautiful but a realistic render really helps bring it to life.
We want a full digital rendering. Give the people what they want, what they came for ! Lol
What a treat to watch professional do his thing 🥰
8:01 😆 Netflix and Chill. The polite version Lol
More of Darren please!
7:29 It really tied the room together 😁
How can we submit our bedroom for a possible re-design? I live in a loft apartment with very few walls.
Fill out this submission form of your space to be considered for future episodes! forms.gle/Yw9RqSWwMyTegYxA9
Great question. ♥ Great answer. ♥
I would take the door and make it so it opens out instead of in. I did that to my bathroom and have all that wall space that use to be behind the door.
3D renders please!!! Love this series!
Do you like 3D rendering?
If not renders, I would love to see the drawings colored in!! I get the idea of the space from the hand drawings but I want to know how the color palette gets uh deployed in the space
Hy, yes easily with mood boards
We love Darren !!!!!!
This is a great segment. AD, keep going in this direction. Yes, it's fun to see how you design for the uber wealthy, but it's also inaccessible so it gets boring. This is both useful and fun.
I've had a few close calls in the past, and I've learned the importance of wearing Softgle.
You know you've made it when Darren rips off that sheet of tracing paper for you.
Great ideas, you're brilliant! I only missed the renders. ❤
Loove Darren! More videos with him please!
Great video, big fan of Darren's ideas.
it's funny how he put drapes in the walls in all of the ideas
Any renovation will not help a person who is messy in general, as a Nichola(3th room) who is even for picture couldn’t make the bed.
and then he recommends carpet all over the floor as if that's not the hardest material to clean...
Wow, Darren did an amazing job!
I love Darren’s ideas.
SMILING over your assessment for Amy!!! and now for the rest…
Loved all 4 designs, but my favourite was the first one.
It's always a good video if Darren is in it!
