Ren said on his twitch stream that he's a huge NF fan. Also, one of the guys he works with knows him, and there could come a colab at some time if it lines up right.. wouldn't that be fire 🔥
One of my favorite responses in this song is the "never call me forgettable I could never swim in the kiddie pool" its a direct response to a kid on teens react or whatever where one of the dudes said his music or sound is forgettable.
You can watch the videos in whatever order you want, but that's kind of like watching Marvel movies in whatever order you want. They're all tied together, which is the reason it's often suggested to watch them in chronological order.
He says in the song "I'm searching for the map to hope, have you seen it" I think it's so cool to see him looking at a map in the hope video. Can't wait for the album!
also being handed the white clothing in the shopping cart that he wears as Hope in the hope album. Meaning he had that planned from the start of search
"What are you searching for?...Do you need to fill your cart with something?" Lol I loved that question! Time has passed so I'm sure you're more in tune now with what the shopping cart symbolizes...prison cage on wheels (mobile). You caught the meaning of the black balloons as his burdens right away 👍👍 'Leave Me Alone' is the sequel or continuation of 'The Search'. Enjoying your NF reactions!
Filmed in Iceland. Woman is his Mom who overdosed and passed away. He wrote the song "How Could You Leave Us" about her. The whute coats symbolize mental health caretakers/whute jackets.
Fun fact. He says "I'm lookin for the map to hope, have u seen it?" In his newer song "Hope" in the video he is walking around with a map. Everything is a story from the beginning to the present
Yes i definitely think NF inspired Ren. They are both unique and in their own lanes. My 2 fav artists. You should check out Intro 3 by NF, he has a conversation with fear it's a masterpiece.Great reaction 👍🏻
The cage is his mind the prison his emotions built him. The shopping cart is the cage he carries everywhere with him. Great reaction! "Outcast" explains the cage.
Yeah bro you gotta keep doing NF reactions. He’s incredible. And you don’t HAVE to go on the NF Journey but it helps a lot of his songs make more sense and gives you a better appreciation of the actual thought he’s put into his music from start to finish because it’s truly a story. But as long as you keep doing NF reactions I’m here for it. You’ll find out that he has some of the most passionate fans out there.
Welcome to the NF Cinematic Universe. If you look in the background, you'll see a metal cage. That cage came from the last album, in the music video for "Outcast". I view the cage as another incarnation of a particular room from the song "Mansion" (listen to the songs and decide for yourself). The shopping cart was first introduced in the video for "Why". He also pushes the cart around and sits in the cart in "Leave Me Alone". The people wearing white also made their first appearance in "Leave Me Alone" as well. You see him get in the cart and hunker down at the end of this video. Each album builds upon the previous ones, and the symbolism and imagery keep getting deeper and deeper. If you go back to the first album and start from the beginning I think you'd really appreciate the art. In this album, he's no longer living inside the cage but has a shopping cart, which I interpret as a small, portable cage that he can bring around with him. While he's "looking for the map to hope", he still feels overwhelmed at times and wants to close himself off from the world, which is why he brings the shopping cart with him, it's his mental crutch.
NF is great, there are some artists that criticise him. Why did you leave us, true story, his mother took an overdose. The other one is Therapy session, wow he is truly great. HE hever swears in his songs.
Ren talked about his proccess of making and writing "Hi Ren" in the comments on the song. He talked about how he used to have auditory halusinations in a voice that wasn't his own and it was difficult to drown it out and think for himself. The song is about the internal struggle he had in ignoring and fighting the voice that was constantly telling him the wrong path and doubting everything he wanted to do. it started when he was 9... The song was also written around two years ago and he re-recorded it for youtube in the performance you saw.
"The Search" is the search for Hope and Wellness, which after a very long time and through proffessional help he is finally getting to. His new album is the continuation of that journey and his change in outfits for his two new singles signifies that he is getting better.
He’s searching for Hope which refers to Jesus! Nate in his most recent album Happy talks about God throughout the whole song. Needs God to be the main part to his life.
I know I’m super late on this but he says it in one of the lines of the song “I’m searching for the map to Hope, you seen it?” And in the newer song Hope there was so many call backs to this song. Pretty awesome puzzle being put together.
Yes to the Ren question. I've been NF for years, seen him in concert and I definitely felt Ren is probably familiar with NF. Not in a bad way, I think it's natural to be inspired by others. I think it's great that more ppl are making music that is relatable to "average" human.
You don't HAVE to do the journey .. it just leaves you with less questions and you appreciate the level he's at more and understand more bars (that he references other songs) All I would say is Start with: 1.INTRO 2.MANSION (necessary for almost every song following) 3. WHEN I GROW UP 4. HOW COULD YOU LEAVE US (heavy) 5. NOTEBOOK 6. NATE and then you can really mix it up after - but you will have lots of questions
I would be surprised if Ren wasn't inspired by NF, NF personifies emotions and he literally has a song where he talks back and forth to himself, not just that, as an NF old fan listening to Ren, it immediately reminded me of Nf.
I don't see a whole lot of people talking about the shopping cart. The way I see it, it is a miniaturized version of the cage that NF mentions in Mansion, Outro and Intro 3, and introduces fully in the song Outcast. He leaves the cage behind in the Search, but he can't leave it all behind, so he takes it with him. It's both a curse and a defense mechanism.
It’s common for people to try to make sense of NF with out starting at the beginning. Like showing up halfway through a movie or book,You think you understand but you won’t. Like your reaction, I’ve seen it before.
He's searching for joy and happiness.... But the cart will always be empty because you can't BUY happiness with money/ fame. You'll see in "Leave Me Alone" that he even sits inside the cart as of to say "I'm filling this cart with me, my accolades, my accomplishments, my success, my notoriety...." Then he gets out and says "Fame called and I hung up on him...." His wife says he should hang up his records, but he just throws then in the closet. Deep, deep symbolism if you walk your way through the whole NF Journey. I'm here for it!!
Great reaction.. NF has a long list of songs that tell the story and make more sense in order.. NF fans call it the journey. Leave me Alone is one of the next songs that follows this. Really one of the first songs someone should listen to from NF is Mansion which tells some of his backstory and explains how his songs kind of work. Outro 3 is a crazy song as well and one of the more graphic, hard hitting songs is called Therapy Session.. and if you just want a fire song without being too deep, Clouds is a great song that is mostly just a hype track. Story is a lesson in storytelling in rap.. the last 2 are off the same mix tape as Trust.. also he did Lost ft Hosin which is great too
2 reccommendations. 1) “Mansion” its a super deep and lyrically amazing song. 2) “Story” the rap is so good it doesn’t even require a video to paint the picture
Story is OK. it is a story for sure, but nothing groundbreaking or great... Rens' trilogy of songs the story of Jenny and Screetch is fucking phenominal storytelling and hits you really hard, especially at the very end.
Please react to “Paid My Dues” “Layers” and “Clouds”. Paid my dues is a banger, Layers shows multiple different flows in the same song, and Clouds is just a solid track.
The lady on the swing represents his mom who died of an overdose on pills. He never quite forgave her and he said in an interview that one of the hardest things to deal with is that he didn't call and talk to her before she died. But he said things have changed and he's not angry with her anymore. That's why he left some of the balloons (his burdens) with her at the swing. And that's why as he's doing it he says "I've been making a whole lot of changes"
Yeah... you have to watch a lot of his older stuff to grab all of the meanings. The baloons also make appearances in "Leave Me Alone" and the track he did that feature Hopsin.... also a banger.

New sub for the nf journey. And ren reminded me immediately of nf. He did something similar to what nf did in intro 3. IMO nf did it cleaner it wasn't as disjointed as I felt ren was. Love from Cali.
And here's this if it helps you to pick songs.. *Motivational/Strong Message songs: CHANGE, I MISS THE DAYS, ONLY, JUST LIKE YOU, REMEMBER THIS, LOST *Melodic/ Cruising Songs: LIKE THIS, DREAMS, MY STRESS,DRIFTING *Banger/Bars/Skills: NO EXCUSES, OPTIONS, ONE HUNDRED, LAYERS, PAID MY DUES, TRUST, STATEMENT, NO NAME, THATS A JOKE, CLOUDS, WHY *Relationship type songs: KNOW, LIE, 3AM, WAIT, TIME, IF YOU WANT LOVE NF *Journey songs: LET ME GO, HATE MYSELF, DESTINY, INTRO 1-3, OUTRO, OUTCAST, LEAVE ME ALONE
There's a cinematographer that started reacting to NF and he adds good explainations to the visuals. I think the black balloons are NF's thoughts. His thoughts about insecurities are his burden. NF is high end audio for headphones or cars with great base.
I Watched one of Ren's live reactions and he talked about NF and how he loves his music and he would love to do something with him in the future
NF has ongoing "plot devices" that he brings up, foreshadows, and reiterates throughout his discography. The balloons are burdens that he carries around with him everywhere he goes. He also like so personify emotions and has several songs where he is arguing with them. Dude is next level when it comes to connectivity of themes spanning multiple albums.

Ren said on his twitch stream that he's a huge NF fan. Also, one of the guys he works with knows him, and there could come a colab at some time if it lines up right.. wouldn't that be fire 🔥
My world would explode if there was a collab NF/Ren album called "ReNF"
One of my favorite responses in this song is the "never call me forgettable I could never swim in the kiddie pool" its a direct response to a kid on teens react or whatever where one of the dudes said his music or sound is forgettable.
"I keep it to myself when I celebrate." He doesn't brag or flaunt his success
The woman on the bench symbolize.. well u'll find out n his song "How could you leave us"
Nf is a rabbit hole like Tom macdonald, you need more ,it builds
@9:20, REN was 💯 inspired by NF!!! Tbh I believe that Nate "showed" Ren that he can do this 🎉😅❤
The Cart Is His Safe Space..... [ a place you go where the stress is lest intrusive ]
The black ballons symbolize his burdens or a black cloud that hangs over him.
If any track. It would be "Intro 3" he pulled the back and forth from. From NF
I love that you over took your 100k goal by the end of the year. Look at you my friend❤❤❤❤
he said "proper etiquette, I keep it to myself when I celebrate"
The cage is his mind the prison his emotions built him. The shopping cart is the cage he carries everywhere with him. Great reaction! "Outcast" explains the cage.
He did a joint with Hopsin that he filmed the video for in Colorado called "lost" and it is white hot fire like dylan.
Another new NF follower joining in.... hope you hit the journey
Another similar song to your Ren point is Intro3...but NF and Ren are next level n they can make you feel so many different things

Symbology of the grocery cart is homelessness, and the people in the white coats are doctors in a mental health facilaty.
With the right structure i bet you'll have around 300,000 by winter. Keep up the awesome music playlist

He’s searching for Hope which refers to Jesus! Nate in his most recent album Happy talks about God throughout the whole song. Needs God to be the main part to his life.

NF is the BOSS! So deep and congruent!!
You don't HAVE to do the journey .. it just leaves you with less questions and you appreciate the level he's at more and understand more bars (that he references other songs)
All I would say is
Start with:
1.INTRO
2.MANSION (necessary for almost every song following)
3. WHEN I GROW UP
4. HOW COULD YOU LEAVE US (heavy)
5. NOTEBOOK
6. NATE
and then you can really mix it up after - but you will have lots of questions
Your mind can hold you hostage, like a prison in your mind
Symbology? I don't think you ever seen boondock saints😂 "sssssymbalism"

Top Review BP . I would say but kinda guessing ' Ren & NF are probably very aware of each other's ' Messages , if not now , they will be soon !

Homie said symbology twice! 😆 Go watch The Boondock Saints and hit me back in the comments 😉

YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO NF HOW COULD YOU LEAVE US

Almost everything relates to another thing. He carries those balloons in many videos. He creates amazing videos/movies.

Really one of the first songs someone should listen to from NF is Mansion which tells some of his backstory and explains how his songs kind of work. Story is OK. it is a story for sure, but nothing groundbreaking or great... Rens' trilogy of songs the story of Jenny and Screetch is fucking phenominal storytelling and hits you really hard, especially at the very end.

Searching for the Map of Hope
You need to watch his first video to follow the hints from all the Easter eggs in the videos
Please do intro 2. That song is so hard and it has a video. He has the best intros ever
Ren started in 2009 and NF started in 2010, according to wikipedia
You need to get an interview with Ren......lol.

Ren prob knows NF and Tom Mcdonald.
New sub for the nf journey. And ren reminded me immediately of nf. He did something similar to what nf did in intro 3. IMO nf did it cleaner it wasn't as disjointed as I felt ren was. Love from Cali.
Agreed 100% I love the song but all that extra stuff Ren does in the beginning n at the end takes away a little bit for me
And here's this if it helps you to pick songs..
*Motivational/Strong Message songs: CHANGE, I MISS THE DAYS, ONLY, JUST LIKE YOU, REMEMBER THIS, LOST
*Melodic/ Cruising Songs: LIKE THIS, DREAMS, MY STRESS,DRIFTING
*Banger/Bars/Skills: NO EXCUSES, OPTIONS, ONE HUNDRED, LAYERS, PAID MY DUES, TRUST, STATEMENT, NO NAME, THATS A JOKE, CLOUDS, WHY
*Relationship type songs: KNOW, LIE, 3AM, WAIT, TIME, IF YOU WANT LOVE
NF
*Journey songs: LET ME GO, HATE MYSELF, DESTINY, INTRO 1-3, OUTRO, OUTCAST, LEAVE ME ALONE
Bro, you got to check out Why by NF and Warm Up by NF .... 2 of his most killer songs IMO
There's a cinematographer that started reacting to NF and he adds good explainations to the visuals. I think the black balloons are NF's thoughts. His thoughts about insecurities are his burden. NF is high end audio for headphones or cars with great base.
I just started watching him! He has great reactions
NF live is not a concert its an EXPERIENCE! Here for the journey. New music coming soon so the time is now!
