I recommend using nothing but premixed fuel. The 32oz cans are less than $5 at home Depot and I've seen them on sale for around$3. At the rate a homeowner would use this saw...you're looking at a couple cans a year or $15 for fuel. worth the extra cost IMO because the engines run better, the fuel lasts forever and you don't have to worry about it sitting in the tank. If you're using a lot of two stroke fuel it makes sense to mix your own but for the average homeowner using your 2 stroke say every other weekend during the summer...just use premixed and reap the benefits.

I use 2-stroke mix for my Huska blower and my weed-wacker, so this is just one more. The oil is like $1, and it mixes with a gallon of gas. Not rocket science.

What about the chain oil? Didn’t see him put that in. I was just going to buy a gallon gas can and fill it up half way and just use half of that oil that comes with it. But is it necessary sary to put chain oil on right away?

What kind of gas and oil needs to be used? And what ratios?

Use a 2-cycle oil mix ratio of 40:1. Unleaded gas works for me.

This chain saw is a real stinker. Brand new, ours will not start at all. Did everything a person could, followed all the directions and it will not start. It's going right back to the store.

Don’t waste ur money, have u ever heard u get what u pay for!! Junk!!! Get a Stihl, been in tree work all my life, wouldn’t use this thing to cut anything!! Spend another 150.00 and get a stihl, u know it’s safe and reliable..Better yet if you are thinking of getting one or got one all ready you shouldn’t be doing tree work! Use a bow saw!! Peace!
