those ladder anchors need to be bonded to the ground wire running around the pool. im not an expert but i do know that any metal equipment in or connected to the pool needs to be bonded for safty.

Pool was installed by the homeowner and he didn't install a ground wire.

What type of drill did you use and what size bit was that?

Efflorescence can be a pain in the ass. They should have had muriatic acid for the pool. That will also wipe it out and not have an adverse effect on the water chemistry.

We've been battling efflorescence for years! I had muriatic acid with me as a last option. Nice to know it doesn't mess with the water chemistry.

@@DynamicTerrain Muriatic acid is used to reduce the PH. It will also kill mold, remove rust stains, get rid of calcium deposits, and clean the surfaces.

Does the other end in the pool need to be bolted down as well?

Did u have a concrete slab poured in-advance under those pavers u drilled into? The pavers dont look very thick to accommodate the depth of the anchors.

No concrete slab. The pavers alone provide the necessary strength for this application. The anchors are very secure. Appreciate the question! Thanks
