    My in-laws installed a Fiberglass pool a few years back and had nothing but trouble with it, As the Ground ( Clay/black dirt) moved with the changing seasons the pool wall buckled and left a huge bump in the pool, later the pool stated to crack down the middle, they ended up getting it removed . It was a nightmare for them.

    That's a real pro plumber there, prybar to hold the drain fitting and using the channellock pliers backwards. Please forward his name and number.

      Well generally yes. But, with some of the seating and benches after they have been through shipping and sitting they are not perfect so we have to adjust them so they are level

    That pool edge is unacceptable. Looks like it would scape your knees when you get out

      To be fair, if want to eliminate a rough surface entirely i would suggest a poured or a travertine coping. Regardless we sand the top edge well and anything rough on the face to eliminate any sharp edges.

      I have that same pool. The turndown footing detail requires more bar. 3 #4 horizontally, or 6 #4 if built on collapsible soils. Also didn't see a 14g bonding wire around that pool.

    What is the size dimension of that pool in this video? And how deep does it go?

    So can you give us a ball park of what that pool cost?? There is a crazy difference in what you get in different places. I just met a lady and her husband on a cruise. They get over 100k for vinyl lined pools. I know a fiberglass guy that also gets 100k. Makes my custom built gunite pool seem like a steal.

      the one we’re doing for our Plumber is about 115,000. We don’t do any pools anymore under 95. It just doesn’t make any sense With labor materials.

      Sky is the limit on these things. You can get a heated fiberglass pool put in the ground for 90-95k, but then add concrete, landscaping, pool house, etc. and who knows where you'll end up. I just put in a 16x40 and converted my shed into a pool house. I'm in the area of 150k and did a lot of the extra's myself. I would assume if you wanted a turnkey pool that was heated and didn't want to do any of it by yourself, I would honestly budget 175K by the time all is said and done. Oh, and the best time to put in a pool is when you are building the house. Just trust me on that one!!

      @@cwsosby incredible stuff. I need to start a pool company asap. Lol. Cool you are getting those prices. As i said, i got a custom gunite pool with 2 water features and a raised deck all the way around for under 50k. You would get a rock star size pool with a cave spa and waterfall slide for 175 out here. Congrats and keep building my friend 👍🤠

    Out of curiosity, why add water before concrete?

    • @wetscapes
      @wetscapes  8 місяців тому +1

      So to keep the concrete from pushing in the shell and if any concrete spills it doesn’t get on the pool shell

    use modern moulding or steigmeir foam forms. that edge is nasty. use the styrofoam forms, and a vibrator and youll have no issue. also dont forgot to use form-oil on the styrofoam or youre fucked.
