- POWERWASHING The DIRTIEST Barn in the USA
This 200 year old barn has never been washed and the concrete is full of dirt, mud, paint so we picked up a power washer to brighten it up and wait until you see these results. While power washiing, we did come across some interesting equipment, looks like a jack from over 200 years ago.

Amazing cleaning on some very bad stains. Lawson reminds me of my son's boy. He followed my son around and they did things together. They are very close because of their sharing all kinds of activities. He just graduated this year. As glad to see you building these bonds.

Those power washers do a great job. Used it when I moved into this house. Did the garage twice before painting the floor. Soon time to do it again

It would be fun to restore that jack! GREAT job. I think I would hose down the walls too. Afterwards you could add some battens to the walls (outside-- for a board and batten building that covers the cracks between the boards) and it would be like new. That would be much cheaper than building a new space that big. Floor looks really nice.

Good work ethics your boys are learning from a good teacher. Nothing like hands on experience. Most of the children today haven't a clue how to do any of the things your boys are actually doing thanks to their parents guidance. If something happens to their (most kids) phones, and tablets, they would be so lost. I love seeing you and your kids having a true loving relationship. God bless you and your family.

Now you said that you hesitate to put chemicals on the floor iam to but this is what I did for my garage floor I took a weed sprayer and put dawn dishwasher soap that has bleach in the mixed half a bottle of it with water in my sprayer after I power washed it I sprayed the whole tank on it and I let it sit for about a half hour or so then went in and used the scrubber and power washed it out and it won't hurt the environment or plants or animals but it got all of the oil stains out and it looked 95%brand new

I loved watching Lawson help you. Great job Lawson!!! Honestly he is small compared to the big blower pack he was wearing. I could picture him turning that thing on and flying backwards like a cartoon character!!! 🤣😂🤣 So glad it didn't happen.

Have you mowed the woods, I haven't seen that yet and enjoy seeing that along with finishing the creek. That would be so pretty with all those trees out of there.

Hay Erik you might want to try simple green on those tuff stains poor simple Green on those stains let it sit for a few minutes then go back and scrub on those stains with a push broom should take him right up and if it don't those things are in the cement permanently God bless my friend have a blessed day

You should call Tiger Enterprise from Strasburg, Pa. They carry a cleaner that's biodegradable, it removes oils. Best cleaner ever. Doug and Thelma Webbere.

It's called a gutter, the cows pee'd and pooped into it. Now the oil stains look cleaner lol
Great job teaching your son! Tip: get rid of cardboard boxes & replace with plastic totes, boxes harbor spiders & roaches love the glue in them! Try TSP for stains, wear mask & goggles for protection!

If you pick up a bigger squeegee with it corners the ends of it are bent it will help you scoop out the water better

Use that orange cleaner it has oranges in it and citrus and it cleans those cement floors great I think you can get it just about anywhere go to a I don't know Walmart has it
Looks great! I wonder if you put dawn dish soap on a spot and then let that machine work on it what difference it would make or not? Lol just as I was watching this the street cleaner was out front doing his work!

Now to let it dry real good. Even if you have to rent a fan or two. And then paint the floor with a good cement floor paint and sealer. Then your floor will be so much easier to clean in the future

Eric that power broom works great I have one for my place! But curious why did you not use any soap with your scrubber. Your power washer should have a detergent suction hose that you can drop in a bucket of soap and it will automatically dispense while you scrub. Then come back with just the spray nozzle and rinse with clear water! Home depot carries the Zep line of cleaners that you can use. I like to use the citrus degreaser in a trigger spray bottle to spot clean heavy spots. Also you best looking results when you clean in a side to side pattern.

thats a good brand to use. Also the best priced. Zep is a commercial grade cleaner, but has been cut back for DIY users. I have used it to degrease 18 wheeler frames & engines!

@@OutdoorswithErik Raise the elevation of the floor and cap it. Easier ,quicker and cheaper. And also it`s done quite often so don`t be steered away from the thought but it is just a barn floor and besides who ever seen a flat barn floor.

Do you have any pictures of what it used to look like? If not check with the local historical society, they might have some. I used to live ve in the last standing stage stop in Tucson Arizona. It had the main area and three rooms for overnight guest. I lived in a trailer out back and my friend lived in one of the rooms

How clean was the floor when you moved in?
Can you turn down the pressure? If you help people out, clean their house, you might damage the siding or peel the paint off. 🤣

Erik on those razie pads, I would take a hammer and chisel to the edges, see if would pop off your floor. It maybe just laying on top of the concrete.
I had slab like In bathroom contractors broke it up and I had still smooth floor underneath that slab. Just idea 💡 if floor level and flat. PS nice cleaning 👌 job, I like the video 📹 👌

You know it's a Federal Crime to remove signs from a Bike Path. You better be careful how you video tape your barn. And if it's a historic building, you need to get permission to tear it down and to modify it. The Feds don't like it when people tear down old buildings
