It is hard to explain just how peaceful it is to only have the sound of you paper folding, cutting, and general activity going on with no music/ads! Your paper cutter is so strong, good looking, and well made. The books you produced are beautiful --- even your glue bowl is very nice. Thanks for a nice video.
I've just finished my second book binding project thanks to your videos! Pieced together the process from a couple different videos, but if youd ever consider doing a full walkthrough for hardbound book creation that would be wonderful. Thankyou for introducing me to this artform! ❤
Been binge-watch your videos and it keep me coming back, even the videos that I've already watched😅 Your work are so captivating, and the finished books are beautiful, can I say , gracefully made.
First of all your videos are the best, I got to learn so much from them, I am just a beginner in book binding, I always struggle with paper sizes and their thickness, so, it would be helpful if you include that in video description. Thank you so much for your videos.....🤍
Bitter Melon Bindery 🤗 thank you for sharing this video always enjoy watching you make books looking forward to hearing when your book on bookbinding will come out enjoy your week ahead ☺️🌹💌🦄🤗
i love book binding but i just don’t know what to do with all the books i make 😢 they’re too ugly to sell but too much for me to fill with drawings. i just like the soothing feeling i get when i create them
@@kellybrammI donate mine to our local animal shelter store and to free tiny library boxes in the area. I’ve been book binding for quite some time and have gotten good enuf that people seem to like them! When I go back to donate more, the previous ones are gone! 👍💗🙂
Same here I made tons of books over the past years. I am thinking about opening a shop but they are so ugly to sell... But I love binding books also. So don't know what to do 😢
@@langesbind donate them to local charity stores. Place them in a “free library” box. Leave them in public areas like coffee shops or college campuses, with a note that says “Finders keepers”. That’s what I do. 🤷♀️👍
I’ve made several of these books lately and everything works fine, except that the spine fabric doesn’t want to adhere well to the text block. Not sure how to fix that.
Hmm is the cloth paper-backed or thin enough? I did spend some time rubbing the cloth onto the spine with the folder because it wasn’t sticking for me too, initially. The bulging from the stitches can make it tricky! Something else I can think of is wrapping the spine with paper first, then the cloth, since the paper might be a better surface for adhering.

They can make nice unexpected gifts for your friends and family. I'm sure they will appreciate your efforts. ❤
I have a lot of blank books sitting around including the ugly ones! I’m happy to keep them just to be able to look back and see what I’ve made.

I didn't think steam was used in making book cloth? Thank you
Where did you purchase that pencil?
How many papers does it need to make 1?
Could I get the link to where you got the brush you are applying glue with, please? 😍
The wooden one is from TALAS, black one is from papercraftpanda on etsy
What kind The termming?
Where are the gold stork scissors you use from ? :)
Amazon!
Can you marble with acrylic colors too? I tried, but it came out weird. In the end i just made a mess😅
I don’t know! These papers are made by pro marbling artists. I really want to learn myself 😊
So what size paper did you start with? A4?
I love your job... what kind pf paper do use??
These books have 24 lb writing paper (90 gsm), the brand is Neenah.
@@bittermelonbindery And the paper used to glue the covers?
3 are hand marbled paper, see description. And 1 is chiyogami!
How do you sell them?
What size paper did you start with..A4?
It's letter size, so A4 would be equivalent! Letter and A4 paper is typically long grain so they're perfect for making A6 size notebooks.
Hi, just wondered why you chose this method ?
Where did you get your paper cutter?
It's in her description.
