I posted the full 14-day Thailand Itinerary on my travel blog if you want hotel & things to do recommendations: destinationwellknown.com/thailand-itinerary/
I just discovered your channel looking for some ideas for Thailand. I love Thailand and coming over there since 23 years. The video is lovely and I can learn a lot from your channel!!! Just subscribed to your channel !
Wow! That was an amazing video. I’ve been in Thailand 2 times and I can tell you that my AHA moment of your video was Ao Nang. I mean, When I went to Krabi and Railey I did not give any opportunity to Ao Nang, Now I see a new option thanks to you. Next April I will be in Thailand again since I fell in love with Koh Lipe, but I will definitely have this video as a guide. Thanks so much!!
Thanks a lot 🙌 Yeah it took me a few trips to Thailand before I actually stayed in Ao Nang - it’s still nowhere near my favourite place to stay in Thailand, but its location is just hard to beat 😀 Oooh Koh Lipe 🙌 have a wonderful trip 🇹🇭
👏 As a Thai guy, I approve your itinerary (not that you need my approval but I'll give it to you anyway 😂). I'd like to add some: In Khao Sok, you also have an option to stay in those floating houses. There's not many activities you can do as you're surrounded by water but it's nice if you want to chill for a night or two. Railey is famous for a rock climbing spot. If you're up for it, try it out. It's fun. 😁Half a day is enough especially if you don't have the right technique, it can be very tiring. Last but not least, you missed out Bantadthong, the food spot behind MBK!!! This is unforgivable! It's one of the most (if not the most) popular food spots right now. It has gotten a bit too touristic but it's not just a tourist trap. Locals go there too so it basically traps everyone regardless of country of origin lol Looking forward to seeing your next video 😁
The stamp of approval from a local is very much appreciated. Thanks a lot 🙏🏻 Those are very good points and tips. Thanks a lot for sharing, mate! I definitely need to check out the food spot behind MBK when I'm in Bangkok next. 🇹🇭 Thanks 🇹🇭
I'm going for my first time in December....too excited for words. This video is great cus I'm not sure what to do or where to go so this has been invaluable 🙏🏽 thank you 😊
Great video, thank you. Just one note, if you could add a map illustrating localisation of each place it would be even better (especially for those who don’t know this beautiful country) 😊
greetings sir, i enjoyed your video alot as well as it is so informative.. in your video everyday is sunny and bright, can you please tell me which time of year you were there?
Thank you! Most of this video was filmed in February/early March 2024 - this is the 'high season' in the Krabi-area as it's the driest time of the year. January-February-March is generally the best time to visit this part of Thailand.
Amazing video! I have literally copied your itinerary almost exact for my upcoming trip in January with the exception of staying in aonang in krabi. I booked instead tubkaak boutique beach resort because I was really loving the hotel. I know you mentioned staying in aonang as a base now seeing your video again I’m wondering if I should cancel and stay in aonang as you suggested. Is Tubkaak beach a bad place as a base to explore the different excursions you mention in krabi?
Thanks a lot! That's awesome to hear - I'm glad you could use the video. That's funny! Before my last trip (where I filmed most of the content in this video), I actually thought about staying in Tubkaak instead of Ao Nang. I looked at the exact same hotel as you've booked, but I ended up choosing Ao Nang because I wanted to be within walking distance of restaurants, shops, bars, and the boats over to Railay. I think it depends greatly on what kind of experience you want when you're in Krabi: Do you want to stay at a luxury resort where you can relax and maybe go on a few excursions, or do you want to stay in the hustle and bustle of a tourist town where it's easy to do small trips, walk to restaurants, and so on? Tubkaak is only a 20-30 minute car ride from Ao Nang, but that car ride means you need to plan ahead every time you want to do something. Hope this helps 🇹🇭
Make sure to drop by The Beach in Hua Hin next time you are in town. The Beach in Hua Hin is the only Bar in Thailand that you can actually meet and talk with International Professional Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger Models.
Very nice video! Currently we are planning our honeymoon in Thailand from 25. November till 12. December. We want to stay three days in Bangkok and we can’t decide whether to stay in Khao Lak, Phuket or Krabi. Wen want to stay some days in Ko Yao Yai and Koh Phi Phi. Can you recommend something for our Honeymoon? There is so much to see in Thailand.
Get the ferry to Krabi and get a driver up to Khao Sok. I just checked and the journey takes around 6 hours if you get the 9 o'clock ferry from Phi Phi. You can book online here: 12go.tp.st/ecAc5tU1
Inspiring video sir!! What do you recommend?? I’m flying to BKK (October 5th) n plan on staying for 2 weeks. Is it better to go far south immediately n work my way back to BKK or go down south n work my way up back to BKK?? Your wisdom n knowledge is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Thanks a lot! Well, I think the route I'm showing in this Thailand travel guide is the best. That way, if you come from Europe, the US, or Australia, you'll have a few days to acclimatise to Thailand and the time zone. Bangkok can be a bit "full-on," so I think it's awesome to start your Thailand trip here. You're full of energy, and everything is exciting. You might be a bit tired and over-stimulated at the end of your trip.
Yeah. It’s not like it’s going to be raining all day, as long as you’re ready for 1-2 heavy showers a day you’ll be fine. I’ve been to the Krabi region in June and August and loved it. It’s also way cheaper than in the high season 😎
I haven’t been to Thailand solo, but I would say it’s probably the ideal place to go on a solo trip. You can do plenty of things on your own, but if you want to meet like minded travellers, there are so many hostels where you could meet up with other people ✌️
Good question! I would probably go for Yao Noi instead of Koh Lanta if you’re seeking true tranquility, but if you’d rather have more “classic touristy” experiences then Koh Lanta is the best bet.
Please help!! The fiance and I are leaving December 5th thru January 2nd of this year and want to go Bangkok and Maya Bay. Which one is best to go to first considering flights, weather, and overall experience? I figured Maya Bay first and then Bangkok the rest of the stay, so we can enjoy new years eve in Bangkok.. since I heard there is a lot going on around that time and im sure near Maya Bay nothing will be happening. We are 28 and have a lot of energy and love sight seeing and hikes plus walks along the beach and going to local bars and restaurants. She wants to see monkeys really bad haha. What is the best option for hotels or airbnb's close to Maya Bay thats not a 5 star hotel/super expensive? Its for our honeymoon. We dont have a big budget but also not a small one. We want to make sure we have money left over since we plan on staying near Maya Bay for a week, then Bangkok the rest of the stay. Thanks in advance man!
Hey! Can I ask why you want to stay near Maya Bay? You can't really "do stuff" at the beach - it's very much a place you go to see once, get a few photos and then you're off again. You could stay in the main Phi Phi island, but I think you'd get bored within a week. I would suggest staying in Ao Nang and using it as a base for exploring nearby places like Maya Bay, the Hong Islands, and Railay and perhaps do some inland tours to the Emerald Cave or Tiger Temple. Check out this guide on where to stay in Krabi for my hotel recommendations: destinationwellknown.com/where-to-stay-krabi/
I met a girl on a plane to Krabi, Thailand on 7th December 2024. She was sat next to me but slept most of the flight but when we spoke it felt like there was something there. I didn't manage to get any of her contact details but I hope to meet her again.
I hope not 🤠 But they sell mosquito repellent in literally every shop in Thailand 🙌 I’ve used it on all my trips and never had any real issues with mosquitoes
Thank you for insisting that skipping Bangkok would be a mistake. I've seen vloggers who suggest getting out of Bangkok as soon as one can. Just because they can't wait to strip half naked on a beach for their social media!

Woo Hoo!
Woo hoo, indeed 🤠🇹🇭
How bad would the heat be if i am going in late december to early january?
In the Krabi and Phuket region? That's more or less the best time of the year to visit - usually, people say that the peak season is December-March.
I love Thailand 🎉
Same
Hi bro im going oct for 14 days
Wat you recommend
Bars
Go go bars
Beaches
Places
i feel overwhelmed by the amount of islands there are!!! im unsure which ones to go to, or if its best to just hit 2-3 islands
Depending on how long you're in Thailand, I'd probably recommend picking 2-3 islands so you're not trying to do too much ✌️
Im going in july for 2 weeks in the rain season is it fun/ worth it
Yeah. It’s not like it’s going to be raining all day, as long as you’re ready for 1-2 heavy showers a day you’ll be fine. I’ve been to the Krabi region in June and August and loved it. It’s also way cheaper than in the high season 😎
Do many people do this solo? i am looking to do this and none of my friends want to go
I haven’t been to Thailand solo, but I would say it’s probably the ideal place to go on a solo trip. You can do plenty of things on your own, but if you want to meet like minded travellers, there are so many hostels where you could meet up with other people ✌️
Is it worth going to kho lanta or would you skip it and go to kho yai noi instead
