The other evening, when I was walking home, I had my buds in, but I thought I heard and saw someone approaching from behind. I know that people frequently walk in my neighbourhood, so I figured it was one of them. I looked round and saw no one, but I quickly realised I was hearing myself and also my shadow on the hedges. When I hear this guy (and others like him) bang on about "spirits" and seeing them, I come to realise they are most likely having similar experiences, where sound and vision are not as they normally would be due to interference or distortion. The mind can be deceived by the other senses. The difference is how you assign agency. You either have a logical processing, like I did, or an irrational one.
You are a good person. When I hear this guy and others like him... I mostly realise that they have a engaged in the time-honoured profession of scamming others out of their money by making up bullshit.

I heard somewhere that every person who sees an afterlife during a near death experience, describes exactly what their religion says they would see. To me, it sounds like an example of how incredibly powerful our beliefs/worldview impact our brains perception of reality; just like how our native language affects our ability to distinguish between hues of color.
Not all who have some sort of near death experience, are religious. I've read testimony from people who claim to have experienced an existence beyond this life, but they do not believe in any form of God or Gods, before or after their experience.

I don't know whether you've ever fainted, it's a weird experience, but the feeling that you're travelling down a long tunnel during the process of losing consciousness, is very similar to what people recount after a near death experience.

I do something I call cold reading at parties with my friends and family. Especially when they bring new people I have never met. People tend to give more away about themselves than they realize. They give things away by body language, accent, pronunciation, etc. No one ever has to say anything outright to give away a LOT of information. I do it as a way to educate people and explain how I did it. I find it fun, they find it educational, everyone is happy in those scenarios. I Love it Jon. Working in some of the Lore to a video. That still blows my mind every time I hear it. I feel like a LOT of people (especially with family members goading them on) could easily fall prey to the idea that they can communicate with the dead. I have to assume integrity and conscience helped you get to where you are today. You may not be able to talk to dead people, but you talk to a UA-cam audience, so you're making progress! ❤️ Cheers!

Funny how believers never realise the killing of the little boys in the Jesus myth was pulled straight out of the Moses myth. And there are other reworkings of OT stories in the NT as well.
I do something I call cold reading at parties with my friends and family. Especially when they bring new people I have never met. People tend to give more away about themselves than they realize. They give things away by body language, accent, pronunciation, etc. No one ever has to say anything outright to give away a LOT of information. I do it as a way to educate people and explain how I did it. I find it fun, they find it educational, everyone is happy in those scenarios. This guy does the same thing, but he uses it to trick people into giving him money over and over. If I was as sleazy as this guy, I could make a killing in Atlantic City on the Boardwalk.
Another long speech about the soul that isn’t based in an ounce of reality. The fun thing about the idea of the soul is that since there has never been any direct evidence, you can make up mountains of garbage about it and people lap it up hoping that it’s real.

If talking to the dead were actually possible I would say there would be a scientific explination for it not a magical one.
My spirit is Whisky, and it is great! I do believe there is a fine line between religious malarky and comedy, and this guy is right there on that line, but not as funny.

So, in his made up language it isn't a realm, it is a world and somehow a world is bigger? Does that mean spirits are on Mars and souls are on Venus?
Also, just to be clear: the soul isn't in the body, the spirit is, except when the soul is, except the soul isn't in the body, the soul is, except ...
Finally, the spiritual wirld is good spirits, evil spirits, and heaven? So when you die a soul is ripped out of soul world and either released into heaven, turned into a poltergeist, or becomes Casper the friendly ghost?
