This little gem was a big part of my childhood. Might have to download the launcher for it. I admire the Devs dedication and you can see how they have improved
Played back in '07. I remember begging my parents to buy me a dragon amulet LOL. Never made it to the end game but I enjoyed the playing experience with my friends fondly. Thanks for the video.
Damn man I played this when the beta first came out. Or maybe it was a public alpha. Back when the art style for adventurequest had just recently started being updated to look like this. There was one cave with a few enemies, I don't think there was an inventory system at all for ages, they eventually rolled out an npc with like five lines of dialogue and one or two buttons to click, but for the entire time I still played Artix games there was barely anything to do in this game. When mechquest came out before dragonquest was remotely worth playing the magic just died for me. Artix have always had a huge issue prioritizing and following things through. Still, I had a lot of fun with their games for a long time
Well, I don't think they are working on "like 8"... Mechquest is dead (or at least in long hiatus)... Aside from aq, dragonfale and aq worlds the only ones that do get updates are AQ3D and Epic Duel... (and well, the AQW Infinity is supposedly taking huge amount of work, but that's a whole other thing, I just hope it works out in the end) Regarding AQ3D, yeah, I get that it might not be your thing, but for the time being it is pretty cool, it's on mobile, graphics are good, there are a ton of items, and it's cool to at least have the option of exploring a 3D world, even if it is not necessarily their best work... Regarding Epic Duel... Yeah, I'm not sure if there is that big of a Epic Duel community, kinda weird... I wish they would just work on Mechquest... Yeah, it's still a lot of games, but, to be fair, it's not like their games are that difficult to develop content for, the teams that actually work on most of the games I'm pretty sure are TINY... Also, I'm sure they know best what makes them money, which at the end kinda is very important... What they could use is try to actually invest on trying to raise the playerbase and get more traction, yes, I'd say preferably for AQ, Dragonfable and AQW...
i used to love just hanging out in ravenloss back when i first started playing, i was so hyped when i finished the storyline and could become a soul weaver, not gonna lie my first gay crush was aegis, he was just so nice you know, when book 3 came around and i saw his new form my brain instantly went "oh, oh man i think i like this guy" book 3 ravenloss was such a rollercoaster too, that ending was so sad, back when i finished it i didnt have the dragon amulet so i couldnt become a master weaver but when i got it and went back there to get it some years later i kinda just teared up when i saw tomix next to the ship again, now every time i log in i just go to the little screen with his grave for a little bit. dragon fable and really every other artix game were a big part of my childhood teenage years and now just a overall part of my daily life really. its always nice to see videos about it, keep up the great work, if you ever decide to make a video about some other artix entertainment game or a continuation of this one talking about the side sagas one day, ill be here to watch it for sure
Dragonfable is my childhood game like damn... I still remember grinding that one catapult mini game for gold, just to get that sweet sweet dagger (I forgot the dagger)
These games used to run our school computer desks back in the early 2000s! We all started on Adventure Quest in Kindergarten in like 04 and moved to Dragonfable in 05 or 06! We even gave Mechquest a shot for a bit. My class switched to AQW in 08 and it became a recess activity for a lot of the boys in my class since we could play together. I even remember the club I played American football at would ALL play, it including the teacher, during the computer lab hours... SO much fun. Hell I even gave AQ3D a shot on my PC by myself and maxed out to like level 30 before they added more stuff! This makes me wanna go back and play AQ3D and AQWs man that's such a big part of my childhood...
this game is great honestly and a blast from the past, i feel for saying the puns in book 1 sure can be annoying but allot of us people from the game really loves tham aswell, allthought story is sure outdated but it is gold honestly, for combat, it is simple sure but the inn challange can have some quite adavanced strats you need to look up to beat, unless your just a god at figuring em out
I always wanted to start Dragonfable but as I didn't had money before it didn't seems optimal to play as a kid.. now I can and I don't have much time for it :/
I don't know why Dragonfable came in my mind a few weeks ago. I started over with new account and want to relive the feeling when I played this game as a kid. I forgot how addictive this game is and I finally bought a Dragon amulet.
this was great! I'm also making a huge DF voice acting project and I'm so glad to see that there's more people getting interested in doing long-form videos on this game. Definitely earned a sub for sure!!
This is a great video man, thank you. And it's inspiring me to create my own video on dragonfable! Such a huge part of my childhood. Do you mind letting me know what you made this video with? I've never made digital media.
Tried to see if my account is working but I had forgoten user details so used forgot user details and I found out that I have 2 accounts connected to one email. One was last active in 2009 and second was active in 2012. Only 3 characters all together and max level in lv 8 for character. And now with different email which was active in 2019 and without any character.
It is at this point I'd like to say that Book 3, which has been ongoing for 12 years now, came to its conclusion about a month ago. Book 4 still to come. Artix Entertainment is insane.
Darn, it's been that long, huh? What a rollercoster ride Book 3 is. I just came back myself this week. I'm going through Inn fights right now for better gear. For me, Calamity Saga is still the most gut-wrenching saga. The things that happened there... just wow.
Came here directly after the Josh Strife Hayes video about AdventureQuest
Man I remember when this game just started to have backround music. It was very rare when an area that wasn’t Ravenloss or Falconreach had music.
This little gem was a big part of my childhood.
Might have to download the launcher for it.
I admire the Devs dedication and you can see how they have improved
Same here.

Artix needs to just work on 3 games instead of like 8. Would benefit the playerbase so much more. Should just focus on aq, dragonfable, and aq worlds

DF feels like the highest quality AE game by a large margin. Such a timeless artstyle

ah yes 500 gold flame dagger for hydra bridge
YES. These games need a larger following, this game and adventure quest have been a huge part of my whole life. I played aq worlds too

Back in the summer of 2007, I grinded dragonfable like you wouldn't beileve.
I played this game way too much when i was younger. I might've to just download it to have a little taste of my childhood back
I always wanted to start Dragonfable but as I didn't had money before it didn't seems optimal to play as a kid.. now I can and I don't have much time for it :/
God I remember playing this game after school everyday, this and adventure quest lol. Great video man.
It's crazy how obsessed me and my friends were with this and Battleon in Elementary and Middle School

Great game great video, hope it gets more popular and bigger one day
I remember getting the chicken cow as a drop and I thought it was the shit.
I guess when I'm done finishing the story and badges from AQW I'll definitely try other Artix games
I don't think I've touched this game since 2007 lol, may have to go see if I can still login.
I haven't played DF since before 2013. This is throwing me for a loop.
This game reminds me of "epic duel" I had so much fun playing it back in the days..
Dragon fable outlived club penguin. Which is hilarious in its own right
what is the name of the helm you wear in the thumbnail and start of the video?
Keep the video essays coming !
This is a great video man, thank you. And it's inspiring me to create my own video on dragonfable! Such a huge part of my childhood. Do you mind letting me know what you made this video with? I've never made digital media.
I used OBS for recording my gameplay, and used Davinci Resolve to edit the video.
I consider myself lucky enough to have bought the Doom Knight armor before it got revamped and DoomKnight V1 was made separate from actual DoomKnight.
I might get back into this.
I did, and man, I don't regret it one bit. The story takes on another level after book 1.
Like, you know.
You REALLY enjoy using the word like a lot 😅
This was epic. Pls do mechquest next if possible!
Are you the guy that plays byond?

why do you keep asking how to spell the names? they are literally written on screen....
English isn't a first language, I'm sure he's trying to say "how do I say this"
