I believe the car would've come with a tire repair kit, normally a bottle of fluid to fill into the tire and a motorised pump to inflate it, then you can drive on, though with lower speed.
BMWs tend to come from the factory with run-flats, so you can drive on them (at a limited speed and for a limited distance of course)
Most cars do nowadays. Spare tire is added weight = +emissions = +added tax.
BMW has run flat tires you just drive on it back to the dealership
It is either run-flats, but lately they come with repair kits too, a foam and a compressor.
"How is there no spare in a 7 series" LOL because the average owner of one would never try and change their own tire. Great video Blair & Paul!

I’d be interested to know how the crew structure works- how jobs are divided into departments and what job each crew member does.
Have you ever felt unsafe around guests, I'm sure they get a little rowdy sometimes
17:35. Genuinely the first time captain Paul looks clueless, not in control. I have watched the videos for a while now and is always impressed by the way he acts, speaks and communicates. I would love to work under such an outstanding leader. But it was just fun to see him, this time, not in control:)
Haha thank you. Can’t control a nail in the tire. As it was a rental I had no idea what to do. My tundra has a spare. We then googled it found out it had runflats and limped home.

Definitely go with the HCB!!!!!!!! What a world class custom boat builder!!! I put my money where my mouth is---I am on my third custom 42---so I obviously am a huge HCB Fan Boy!!! We use it as our T/T to our 71 Princess. I opted to go with three of the Merc 600's. and extra side tanks for offshore fishing. Everyone LOVES HCB features!! Thye know how to put a beautiful boat together!!!! Good Luck!

Great video- and Blair didn’t lose a drone! I like that boat as a chase boat choice- my only issue is how good would it be for dive trips- not sure if you use one of the others for dive ops. I was hoping for a quick peek of one of the submersibles that were on display- that would be a great toy for the next Loon!
We do a ton of diving and fishing in the Caribbean so we need a chase boat that allows us to do more rugged activities compared to our Med tender.
Unfortunately we couldn’t find and submersibles. We only found out later they were in another part of the show. Guess we’ll have to go back next year 🛥️🥂

The BMW would have had run flats. Mine does. Safe up 80 kmh with a flat. My BMW does. My Porsche on t h e other hand just has a puncture repair kit. Just all roadside service if I doubt. All new Beemers have it .
Should have called roadside assistance right from the car (BMW Roadside or BMW Assist) #bmwconnecteddrive… they would have sent someone to help or told you what to do.
As we were in a rush to get to the next event we just limped to a safe place and caught an Uber. Crazy they don’t have spares. My Toyota does. 😂

Captain Paul - BMW; I think they have flat run tiers, you don't need really a replacement tier - the goal is, to reach the next garage ;-)

I found out I didn't have a spare on my 750Li after driving it for 6 years. Stranded on side of the highway in Toronto. BMW said they are runflats so you don't need a spare. That assumes you have a sidewall left.
How annoying! I was afraid of damaging the rim as it was a rental with only 80miles on it. Can’t believe they don’t have spares. No thank you BMW.

Blair don't feel bad. My Drone had so many Blind Dates with trees and other obstacles... I had to invoke DJI care too. And I usually don't fly around water lol.

Chase boat? When you transit some distance you haul this aboard or does it just follow along on it's own?? It seems big to haul on board. At least 1.3rd of new cars do NOT have spare tires.
We tow the large chase boats behind as they’re too big and heavy to carry onboard. 🛥️🥂

Paul definitely paints the perfect futurism of a chase boat and its potential!
Suggest for chase boat: Saxdor 400 - a lot of the same guest features w/ 2 rows of pax seats, you mentioned, convertible features like folding bulwarks, roughly same speed of around 45kts, easier towing, fewer engines to take care of, double-stepped hull, private head, beachable, very likely a better boat in rough conditions w/ more deadrise and sharper forefoot: avail as GTO (open) as in factory photos and CTC fully enclosed. Sorry, not as costly as the 4 engine chase boat you liked. And you might try OXE 300 diesel outboards to use less petrol and gain about 30% in range w/ fewer service intervals. I'd also add Sharrow trochoidal props which are custom made for each individual boat application, 10x more expensive, far smoother, same speed at 1000 RPM slower in the mid-range so far less noise and vibration for guests, far smoother, far better backing authority but you'd need to carry spares as each is custom made. Several good tests to look at for comparisons to stock props.
Considering the fire hazard having an electrical vehicle onboard, I'd say no to a Candela!

Imagine the purely hypothetical situation of being a superyacht captain crossing the atlantic ocean. All of a sudden you lose one of two engines. What would you do?
a. Empty the tender garage and search for a spare engine in there. 🧐
b. Send a diver under the yacht to find an additional engine there. 🤔
c. Reduce speed and keep on heading for your intended destination. 🥳
Haha let’s go with C but only after having a good search for the lost engine. 🤙
That would make a great chase boat. I think Mercury upgraded that motor to 500hp this year.
It can be spec'd with 600hp Merc's but we love our Yamaha's so i think we're going to go with the 450's
Was wondering how many drones got lost when you are shooting Lune underway. No way you can stop to pick up the drone if you misjudge a landing. Would love to see a video of what you use to make your shows. Great work.

I don’t get the hcb. You should charter local boats if guests want to fish. You don’t have the knowledge. There are way more comfortable and better fits for your purposes. Way better seating, shades, and cover for inclement weather.

You don't need a spare tire with this BMW. Run flat tires - invented by french engineers, used mostly in german cars.
Not every car comes with a spare. Some come with a can of Fix a Flat.
If you want to extend your activities the chase board that lets the guests fish via rod or spear. This "beast of a boat" could do the business.

Very cool!! Definitely yes to the really cool tender!! I don’t think cars come with spares anyone-usually a spray foam that inflates the tire so you can get to service. Looks like you guys had a good time. Too many people for me but I love the tours done channels are doing!! Can’t wait for the Caribbean!!
Fantastic video, nice to se how luxury yachties dont need to care about cars ;-) (Spare tires vent out of fashion about 10 years ago, these days you have to relay on a spraycans to make temporary repairs of tires. It was hiding somwhere in the trunk ;-) )

Why do you use different chase boats in the mediterranean / caribbean?
I assume they maintain two different chase boats for the med / caribbean seasons, as the chase boats aren't driven across the Atlantic. The one they just bought a couple of months ago in the med should be back next summer.

The "less fossile fuel" statement for an electric tender may not be true. Unless you are able to charge with solar or wind, you will still need to create the electricity with a fossile fuel driven generator. The generator efficiency, battery charger efficiency, and electric drive efficiency are all

If you ever need a new chase boat for the Americas, what about having a chat with Eric and Lesley over at Midnight Express and see what they have to offer? A bit more "wild" but still very classy. They can even do them as sterndrive boats.

Used to be a yacht captain in my 20’s and 30’s got my six pack then my hundred ton and eventually got my masters this was 35 - 40 years ago when 150’-175’ was huge got out of the business because I got married and we wanted to have kids I switched over to estate management and worked for multi millionaires and billionaires managing their properties staff and contractors and everything else they wanted me to it’s pretty much the same thing just on land it was actually a smooth crossover Loon crew seem to me very nice people will keep following your adventures

My car doesn't have a spare tire either - it uses some kind of patch inflaty thing instead. I just call AAA. Apparently the actual spare tire is an additional feature - don't know if it's a European car thing.
