Yes, the passive where he heals 50% incoming magic damage is a nightmare for a midlaner.

@Trol-I The game is actually really fun once you get familiarised with the game mechanics and stuff. Contrary to what others are saying from only experiencing surface-level gameplay of HoK. People get into the game with the game sense ML fed into them and then get their asses whooped as they realised that this game plays differently from ML
He's a heavily item reliant, energy based, burst hero.
On paper his passive might be good counter for mages hence why the game recommends us to also play him as mid laner. As you can see in hororo's vod it's honestly not. S1 requires him to get in. S2 requires him to get in. His ulti also requires him to get in (pray that the opponent mid laner already used their ccs or they don't have any teammates hiding in a bush cause if it isn't your basically serving yourself on a silver plater). If only he has at least one ranged skill (projectile) then maybe him being mid lane is bearable but as it is right now it's just gonna be pain. Just pick another hero.
If you still want to use him then go jungle you could easily get to your main power spike this way. Not to mention that he clears camps so fast.
One trick that I learned when trying to escape using his s1. You can actually skip the whole having to hit something (hero, creeps, minions, etc.) proccess. So if your using you're s1 to escape, (your s2 is on cd) and there's no enemy to hit, simply press attack button and you'll automaticaly teleport to your soul's location.
@@bruvh29 Agreed about your last part on attacking in place. Now that you mention it, a lot of HoK heroes seems to rely on attacking in place for doing their combos optimally. The best example of that is Luna, the reverse Lancelot, where she's almost always "prep" her passive by attacking nothing before diving. I wonder what will happen to Dyrroth if he's able to do that (hits nothing 2 times to activate enhanced basic atk) ? Will he become too powerful ?
This is also one of the reasons why i don't like how HoK ONLY grouped / sorted their heroes based on in-game lanes instead of their types (assassin, mage, etc), which in Sima Yi's case isn't even suited for him.
Luckily, they still "allow" you to use heroes outside of their recommended lane (Jungle Milady, Mid Da Qiao, Clash Lane Dr Bian, etc). At first, i thought the report system will punish me for doing that, but looks like that's not the case
@@youagain8447The system only punishes you if you don't follow the function you are stealing from, have 2 previous reports about it, have a low score and kill yourself several times in the match.
Yes, there are a lot of other heroes who can use this kind of trick where you use basic attack on an empty space (like Mozi, Allain, Luban, and yes Sima Yi). It's a nice refreshing mechanic for me.

This is my personal experience but I always hated it when I met an MLBB player in HoK who act like they know everything, meanwhile he barely even last hit his minion, complaining how broken the enemy hero is, while in reality the enemy just have more gold because they always last hit their minions. And when I told him that he must last hit the minion to get more gold so he can win his lane, he starts comparing it with MLBB. Nice 👍
In mlbb you can get more gold from last hitting as well. That player just suck
There's also Other Hero besides Simay Yi,It's Yuan Ge,He is basically Hanzo but Can Control a Puppet and switch position and if the puppet Died,He will get stunned

@@Elvynna512 Ling is kinda easier on imo since you only need to micro his swords in Yuan Ge you need to both micro the puppet and himself.I feel like Yuan Ge is an easier version of Shaco from League
I mained this guy before global release XD. Just a tip, basic attack the ground or whatever to teleport your body to you. Also, look up a build since he is supposed to deal more damage early game.
He is better as a jungler than a midlaner
He can be played as a clash laner too

But he have winning condition.
This hero for finishing, not to fight and this hero cannot get much crowd control (but you can dodge with skill 1 cause skill 1 imune cc) you need to wait until enemy use all the annoying skill and then you can get in the enemy back line with ulti very easy.
And this hero actually for jungle, not mid lane.
@@timeandspaceimmortality3554 Because for me he lacks damage even in full item, his enhanced basic attack damage is not that good which is source of his damage (correct me if i'm wrong). If you use his skill you need to attack someone to restore the red energy thingy or else you can't use your skills. His ult is fvcking slow and if it hits, the damage sucks (this is just my opinion and base on my games using him)

Continuing with these heroes comparisons, i hope Hororo try Shouyue next. He's practically Renner (sniper) Beatrix except that he won't grief his team as much since his basic atks are target-locked. He still has his 2nd skill if you wanted to be a sniper like Beatrix alongside a better suited skillset. Definitely worth a try for Renner Beatrix mains that wanted to try HoK

Yep he's pretty good. The only gripe that I have with him is the shared bullet for both s2 and ulti.
Sometimes I just want to snipe people while my passive's active or in the bush you know without having to worry if I still have enough bullet on me to at least use one ulti to escape.

@@thefrey9588 Diaochan is almost an exact copy of Harith, except with Valentina's 2nd skill instead of Harith's dash. As for Joy, Gao has a pretty close kit and playstyle with her but without the shield or spell vamp, so he's A LOT LESS sustainable than Joy

Need timing and prediction when using this hero. Also, he is menace in magic damage dealer hero.
His ghost is sooo much cool
He’s more fit as a jungler, scarier when you can see them but they can’t see you. He’s not the best played in mid lane, and if you are then make sure you are going to other lanes to act as a finisher so you can gain more items to over power the cc from mid lane. I think he should be good in team fights too because of the silence.
Also for team fights aim for back laners/squishes, mage and marksman and certain junglers are your best friend if you playing him in mid.

Hes really good jungle and fun to use. I ended up getting his Epic skin from the freebie frenzy event so I started using him.

Use your ult to get someone who’s low health.
Use your ult to exit out after poking out enemies.
Use your s1 to initiate
Use your s1 to quickly escape, you don’t need to go far, just enough to be safe and run away.
Use your s2 to silent and damage your enemies.
Auto attack after each skill use to cause damage.
Paine isn’t like hanzo who hides behind a bush. Paine has to be upfront and risk dying.
If you like playing assassins as jungler, he’s the guy for you.
He needs shield since his damage is not high as Lam.
If you have da qiao on your team while playing sima yi, you can leave your body at her teleport and get healed from the fountain.

The thing I like about mlbb is the simplicity of the heroes' skill sets. You can understand them perfectly with just a little bit of reading. Even if their skills are simple, combining them still allows flashy plays. While hok and aov have some heroes that do have flashy playstyle but their skills are complex and take a lot of practice to master
there is a lot to address how the mechanism of some skills works in hok and that makes the game one step further of being interesting instead of 2-1-3 skill combos or spam m1 boom 5 kills at a time

@@vessaliusjack2360 As a long-time MLBB player that just tried HoK in 2 weeks, i'm kinda mixed with your opinion. On one hand, i agree that HoK's skill explanation is one of the worst in any MOBAs because of all the dmg numbers and different effects. Even the starter heroes like Hou Yi and especially Ying are pretty confusing to read, let alone the more obscure and unique heroes like Milady or Dolia.
On the other hand, once you try using them in-game (preferably in Offline Mode or Solo Training), they turned out to be more on the simpler side and easy to learn, ESPECIALLY if you've played MLBB. Take Heino for example, for all of that long explanation on his ult, it's literally just Lylia's ult that deals AoE dmg on his channeling radius, THAT'S IT. Another example is Jing's ult, despite the long explanation and mechanics, it's practically Ling's ult + combo with extra restriction.
Can't deny that most of the flashy and high tier heroes have complex kit and hard to master, but that doesn't mean there aren't any with simpler kit. Most of the starter heroes are either S or A tier despite their simple kit after all

It's way more effective for you to take him jungle with his huge dmg in early game
exactly. he is a bit vulnerable in the mid lane. also, it's not like i get to play other roles. i mostly get jungle and roam anyway lol.
He is finisher/backlane jumper. Use ult on mm or mage in back lane while on team fight
I think he's more suited for jungle, he can easily get to the rearguard with his Ult.

there's musashi too, I main him, kinda like saber but not really saber, like his skill combo is the same tho, 2-3-1 and basic attack between skills, with cd boots his second skill is pretty much spammable as long as you hit an enemy with the 2nd skill
Musashi is literally Yasuo on wheelchair.
his first skill is the combination of windwall and tornado, second skill is his passive with dash, the ult just easier airborne.

The hanzo in hok is a mage and lacks the damage but when with a good players using it he is very tricky to counter

The one thing I hate about hok is their skill kinda stiff especially instant movement like in this case sima passive that like amon passive it's just not smooth like almost all the dash skill had this issue for me how much fps this game need to had smooth movement? Wildrift with 60fps already too smooth and hok isn't
