Dolly Parton has lived at the same estate in Brentwood, Tennessee since buying it in 1999 for $400,000. While you might expect a more extravagant abode from the country legend, Dolly and her husband Carl Dean love the farm-like property they call home. The scenic estate features a swimming pool, chapel, a farm and more - and we’re going to take a look. While she’s kept this home quite private, over the last year or two in lockdown Dolly has shown more of the inside of her cozy country house.

So surprising! Dolly Parton's home looks like it could be like every ordinary home. I truly thought I would be seeing a fancy home, something that would match Dolly's showbiz personality. Like the old saying goes; "You can't judge a book by it's cover"..You never know what we will find in the inside.

they probably still live there because her husband made it, its special to them. And in an 80s interview with dolly and barbara walters we got to see quite a lot of the inside of their home.
I’m very surprised that she doesn’t have an extravagant mansion like so many other celebrities, but who cares. Not not about her home(s) We love her for her musical and acting talents. DOLLY! 💕

In my opinion, Dolly has aspired to what Elvis could have if he’d lived a long life. Even the amusement park has similarities since Elvis often rented out one for private parties all of the way up to his death. He might have thought to buy it or create a bigger and better park. However, none of it ever to be.

Much of the information in this video is incorrect. Dolly's husband Carl actually built their Brentwood estate himself, completing it somewhere around 1972. In 1982 Dolly allowed Barbara Walters to conduct a rare interview in her home (she was was off the road, and recuperating from a recent surgery), and brief shots of some of the rooms were included, and Dolly explained that Carl supervised construction of the house himself "about ten years ago" (e.g. 1972). Dolly also discussed details of her Brentwood home in her 1994 autobiography, :My Live and Other Unfinished Business". Dolly and Carl have purchased and sold numerous properties (presumably as investment properties) though the years, an so that may be where the 1999 date came from, but they have owned and lived in the Brentwood house (the same house featured in this video) since the early '70s (though some of the out buildings may have been built more recently). The images at 2:56 and 4:05 are not from her Brentwood houses but actually from the small house Dolly owned for several years in LA, that you reference at 6:32. Other than the 1982 Barbara Walters interview, Dolly actually rarely allowed cameras in her home, until she began Zooming and releasing videos she filmed after being confined to her home during the COVID pandemic, and even then, only showed her music room and in-home studio. Dolly and Carl never lived in the house at 4:24. It was purchased either as an investment property, or possibly a place for Dolly to crash nearer to Nashville, when she was working on an album and didn't want to go back and forth to Brentwood. Again, they've lived in the Brentwood house since approximately 1972. it isn't mentioned in the video, but Dolly also co-owned a Manhattan apartment overlooking Central Park, along with her manager Sandy Gallin for several years during the late '70s and into the '80s, where she stayed whenever she was conducting business in NYC, and she also used to frequently mention owning a property in Hawaii, though it's likely that she no longer owns that house.
Also, the man in the video with Dolly at 0:13 is NOT Carl. it is former Tennessee Senator Bob Corker. (Images of Sen. Corker are readily found online.).

Ton's of incorrect information. The picture of Carl Dean (her husband) is a politician, Bob Corker, and not her husband and so many of the pictures are just stock info. Don't watch this and expect to see anything recent or accurate.
