After watching the 72, 5000 final, of course watching for Pre, I most noticed Ian’s race and how well it was run, one of my favorite runners in history now.

Hey, that's right! Thanks for pointing it out. In my book, that was Rodgers' best performance ever. He then went on to have his Boston breakthrough race soon after, as I recall.
As I recall Rogers just pipped the soon to be world mile record holder ,John Walker in the sprint for the third place. Ironic, marathoner out sprints 800/1500 runner.
