Another great video! I was so fed up with the machine at first. We couldn't figure out how to set the cables up because the manual was less than descriptive. We figured we'd be able to find a ton of content on the internet but there was very little. I was so close to giving up and sending the machine back when my husband found your videos. Very grateful for them!
Thanks for the great work outs. I just found your channel last week and this is my third workout following you. I had no idea how great this machine could be until I found your videos.
Another great workout. Your class is challenging, yet still enjoyable. It's funny as you say something at exactly the right moment. Like, don't forget to breathe or hang in there. It's like you are in the room with me😂. Great job. Thank you for these videos. I keep coming back to them. This is my longest stretch of time working out. It really helps having a workout that I enjoy.
Eric, I found your videos about 3 weeks ago and have loved having some good content that shows me step by step how to use my Bowflex. You have such an encouraging and calming demeanor... like the Bowflex Bob Ross! I'm looking forward to moving up to some of the more intense workouts once I've gotten used to the three beginner ones. Thank you!
I am super new to working out with the bowflex. I’ve tried two of your beginner videos so far and I love them. I find the 25 seconds on and 25 seconds of rest helps me keep on track and focused. Looking forward to doing these daily. Ty!
Awesome! Thanks, Kristin! Just a word of warning, you probably will want to limit resistance training to 4 days a week and fill out the rest with cardio. Strength training wears down your muscles and they get rebuilt with rest. Overdoing it, especially when new, can lead to an exhaustion state. So just be sure to pace yourself. Hope to see you back in the comments again soon though!
Thanks! That's exactly why I made the channel. I couldn't find any either and when I figured out the timer/HIIT based workouts, I felt like I had something worth sharing!
I've done all 3 beginner workouts, and will stick with those until I gradually get the weight up. I'm starting at low weights since I'm 60, and although active, I haven't worked out in a while. But I'm looking forward to getting where I feel like I can graduate to your more advanced workouts! Thanks for developing these!
Perfect! When you do "graduate" you can start the advanced stuff with slightly shorter intervals. For example, some are 35 work, 25 rest. Instead you could do 30-30 intervals and join the set a few seconds into it. Then over time get to the 35-25 intervals.
Perfect addition to my morning routine. New to bowflex so appreciate these videos!!!! I think you will do more then 52 videos for 22 so keep it up!!! 💪🙌
These are just very well made workouts. I appreciate your time and effort in all you've done here! The ease with which I can make it easier or more difficult is awesome. Thank you so much for this content 👌
I have a Bowflex Xfreme 2, so I had to modify a few of the lifts as it doesn’t have a bench. 50# on those shoulder lifts for a beginner is brutal. I’m a decent sized/strength guy (6’1”, 265) and struggled. Great series, though. Thanks!
Depends on where you're starting. 20lbs each side for light weight, 30lb for medium, 50lb for heavy. I would try starting at 30lb and adjust as needed. Some of these lifts (especially the shoulder ones) are pretty tough, so don't feel weird about a light weight setting.
@@cazoova6655 I just started this workout and adjust my weight for each exercise depending on what I can handle. If it’s too heavy lower the weight. Too easy/light increase. After a few rounds you’ll find the weight that works for you for each and as they get easier with time you can increase.
really enjoy your workouts and guidance. New bowflex this week. does anyone know why my cable seems to stop short of the full stretch I see in these videos? the ball/nut hits the pulley shy of the finished movement. Thank you. Gregg
@@michaelball9931 well that's why you're having a hard time following along! This routine was for a flat bench style Bowflex. I'm sure you can adapt much of it over, I can't really talk to that while recording. I do have Xceed specific videos here that'd be easier to follow: ua-cam.com/play/PL2v4RQMlW4AGESphE5DXlJNcy_gPnVQa8.html
I usually tuck them into the plate that's on the tower. If that's not an option, I clip them behind the tower so they don't swing in front of me. Good question, idk I've never mentioned it!
No dedicated leg workouts yet, but it's the next beginner workout that I'll be recording once this video hits 50 likes. Legs are tough for me as I've never been a big leg lifter and the Bowflex isn't the best machine for them. That said, I am working on developing routines for them, it's just taking me a while. Here's a link to a workout with some leg work though. ua-cam.com/video/imJqDHRdK6c/v-deo.html

I'll try to be a bit more clear on that in the future. My PR100 only has to pulley placements. Do you have a Blaze or different machine?
