We really appreciate that your tips are direct and to the point without a lot of fluff. You don't waste our time with 20 minute videos. Thanks for being brief and to-the-point.
Thank you so much for your money saving tips. I am booked on a 15 day Hawaiian cruise with princess cruise line. We enjoy traveling with them. Because of your tip and Gods grace and favor, the same cruise I have booked are now booking the same cabin type for less money. In one 10-15 minute phone call, they kept us in our same cabin and reimbursed us $800.00 no questions asked. The princess cruise employee told me that princess likes it when their loyal customers look at the prices of cruises they are booked on and they are happy to adjust the fare! So thank you so very much, and thank you Jesus!
Carole: We had permission to hold Bible studies on one cruise line All who came enjoyed them immensely. Hoping to do this again on other lines, too! ☝🏽☝🏽.
We received a Princess mailing and could not believe the price! I immediately called Princess and booked a guaranteed balcony. Had $500 pp OBC and $250 credit. Also Princess paid gratuities. This was a 48 day cruise! I then transferred our booking to ourTA. Since then, all those perks have disappeared and the fare almost doubled. Yes, it is a wonderful tip to book as soon as you see a great deal! Book it, Dan-o!
thats true , i found a week cruise with norwegian epic sailing from Barcelona to Italy at the low price of 500$ including tax , And the sailing was 4 days from departure. , but i checked a flight to Barcelona and they wanted 450$ lmao.
any time you can fly non stop from north america to europe under 700$ is steal. please add up price of excursions before you book cruise, you will arrive at port each day and if you wish to visit famous town or city, you will pay a few hundred dollars per person per day , drive two or three hours one way, ..... ocean cruises are a rip off.
As an aside, convert on board credit to cash by using your credit to buy casino chips. You don't have to gble, just convert them to cash. Varies per line
I love your vlogs. They always teach us something unlike the one ones that just follow them around all week and show us everything they eat drink and do as If !!! your knowledge is so appreciated!
We have had mixed luck on guarantee cabins. Got a double upgrade once on Celebrity and it was fabulous. Got a blocked view balcony on Norwegian and was pretty unhappy. I know myself well enough that I’d rather pay the extra and know what I’m getting.
Also for those who like the classic-style cruising rather than the resort-style ships, the old ones can be even better! For example, I like the full wrap-around promenade but the newer the ship, the less outside deck there is on the "Promenade" deck, at least on Princess.
Great Video, most helpful because your ideas are clear and concise. 5 Star = Review Sir! I'm more likely to look at cruises now. I've seen so many 'tips' videos but they ramble and put me to sleep. You're great - Well Done !!
I agree with booking at the launch. I have two cruises in advance and have saved quite a bit. They have both gone up in price. Especially good if you are traveling solo. I have waited a few years before booking on the newer ship. it has now gone down in price and still not very old. My only concern is if you don't choose your cabin you might be allocated a terrible position on the boat. Like near the laundry. Great tips though.
I have done better doing it myself straight with the cruise line.i have used travel agents but they make a lot of mistakes I have to correct myself with the cruise line.thats just my experience.
The tip about calling to get a better deal is something more people need to know about. I have been able to find our already booked cruise for about $100 cheaper every time I log on to carnival. I always call and get it repriced. I knocked about $400 off our honeymoon cruise and was given $50 on board cruise credit so far. So so worth it to call, make sure you have found the better deal directly though the cruise line itself though 😊
Lovin ItAll i am a retired Travel Agent of 30 years experience, check the terms and conditions in the back of any cruise brochure and you will see, non ref amount starts at time of full payment and increase to 100% of the fare if cancelled very close to departure. you were lucky and somehow got an exception to the rule, maybe the cruise line owed that agent a favour, due to a mistake on another booking, and you were the recipient. lucky you, but never count on that happening again.
@@lovinitall6639 As I said you were very lucky, but by telling folk it happens, they may think it is normal policy, and it definitely is not. I couldn't even get that for myself when I was working, and I also was an agent for AAA (BCAA in British Columbia). Read the rules.
We tried booking 9 days before and it was more expensive than when we booked 1 year in advance. Tried allocated on arrival twice and got the worst cabins. It seems to be Hobsons' choice!
do any river cruise cabins hold 3-4 or more people? any you know which visit or offer excursions to Leipzig, Eisenach, Halle, Zwickau; Bergamo, Busseto Roncole, Pesaro, Cremona, ?
any recomendations for both river cruises and european ocean cruises both mediterranean and northern baltic? best budget prices. with airfare, excursions.
It has been a fantasy of mine since the 1980s to pack a bag, head to the NYC cruise ship terminal and negotiate a deal just hours before the ship departs. What ship? Who knows. What destination? Well, the one the ship is going to. It seems that this fantasy option is still in play. Good to know, thanks!
Owning 100 or more shares of Carnival stock will get you on board credit. The amount varies with the length of the cruise. You do have to send in documentation to Carnival. This covers not only Carnival ships but Princess, Holland America and others. Contact Carnival for details.
Dude, you are the cruise master!!! Would you mind clarifying something for me. You said to talk to your agent to try to match a good deal. Would that be an agent that sells for all cruise lines or an agent that sells for only one cruise line? I just moved to gold status on Royal C., so I am looking for benefits.
Either works as they should be accessing all fares and now of reductions and promotions. I guess an agent that focuses on a few lines may be more aware and proactive
Great video, well thought out and informative, thank you. To add to your point on working with a travel agent- I have places like Costco will throw-in extras like cash cards that you get after the completion of the cruise. Two other opportunities to receive on-board credit (and lower the overall cost of the cruise) is purchasing a certain number of shares of stock in the cruise line. Major brands such as Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian give shareholders about $100 of credit for a seven night cruise. Finally, with a little advanced planning many lines offer military veterans shipboard credit... these can be combined! Happy cruising.
I prefer booking early, while being somewhat flexible on cabin and cruise line. We've had a 2020 South American repo back to the US, Celebrity cruise booked for 3 months now, which still has not been released to travel agents. Most cabins have increased, the same cruise the year prior, is almost double that. Not to mention, the upgraded balcony's on the hump, disappeared within a week.
Another way to save some money is to buy a Future Cruise Deposit while on a cruise, this will suffice for your deposit when you book that, plus it will give you free onboard credits on the next cruise.
You stated we might be able to get a cheaper price when itineraries are launched. How do you know when itineraries are launched? I search Vacations To Go quite a bit. Am I getting good deals through them? Thanks for the tips!
Yes they are usually very good. The key to finding out when itineraries are launched is signing up to cruise line emails and follow them on social media. Usually also sites like Vacations To Go should alert too but I find the emails best
Yes, have any necessary visas, call the cruise line directly the minute they open, and you can occasionally get a suite somebody canceled out of for the inside cabin price. You must pay immediately because others are calling. A travel agent did it for me at 5 am, Cookie Webb at Avoya.
Love all these tips. Can you guys tell me a website to be able to see all the cruise deals and where u all go.Also you can do payments? Sorry new cruiser looking to take fam of 4
Usually more like 1.5-2 years. If you want to catch a cruise on first announcement, start watching their web site at least 2 years out--or call them and ask when the announcements will happen.
Jeez! I just looked at the cruise I booked way back in ‘19 for a ‘22 sailing 🤞 I’m paying $4708 and the price today for the same cruise/room is now advertised for $5998. I then upgraded to a mini suite for a further $1320 so a total of $6028…the asking price now for a mini suite is $7398. Seems like I inadvertently got a damn good deal…now to see if it actually sails. My original fare now would only get me an interior room….😳
Great tip about signing up for the cruise line’s e-mail. Recent experience: booked more than a year in advance. Later, received e-mail advertising a 20% lower fare on the cabin type that I had already booked. Travel agent contacted the cruise line and they honored the lower price on the same cabin. Never hurts to ask. Additional tip: “big box” travel agency. On the same cruise, my “big box” travel agency got us a 7%/person shipboard credit at no additional cost. Never received anything similar from individual travel agents. Total savings - 27% per person.
We are considering a spring relocation cruise from Florida to Seattle or Vancouver BC, What would be the dates for this? Which cruise line provides the more traditional cruise experience? Thanks Tony
I have sadly found agents can never better the deals I find - maybe I am too good at finding deals, but the answer is als most 100% time that they can do no better. Bummer
Many Travel Agents have a lot of offices like Expedia Cruise Ship Centres, so they hold a lot of Group rates, by doing this the cruise lines gives the group people Amenities like shipboard credits. So when I pass my bookings on to my Agent, 90% of the time she has some more shipboard credits to give me.

can you help me I wanna book Norwegian Sky July 12-16 miami to bahamas help please what’s a good price because on their site it shows 787 for a room without a window
For the dining room and the certain cafes or eatery listed. Check the website for the cruise line. Only juice, teas and possibly milk are free. Alcohol and soda are not free. There are plenty of included places to eat for each boat. Ours has a deli, Tex Mex, pizza, burger joint and of course the buffet times all included in the cruise price.
no such thing as too early, as if it goes on sale, and you have only paid a deposit, cruise lines generally let you rebook too get the sale price. BEWARE, you would lose whatever your previous offer entailed. So tally up the bottom line. I had booked 18 months ahead, then price came down, but no perks, and I had 4 perks with celebrity. When I talked up the toal price, it paid me to stick with what I had.Plus by booking early I got the pick of the cabins.
Do cruise lines like Windstar and Azamara and Ponant ever offer last minute deals the way the mainstream Cruise Lines do. I would like to try one of them but I I could never afford to pay full price unless I stopped taking my usual two or three Cruise a year and just did this one.
Yes they do. They tend to be for the longer cruises or the ones that are out of season and start / end of season. I tend to keep an eye on it by signing up to the email newsletters and let your cruise agent know to give you a shout if they are offered deals on them
destination: vienna budapest dresden prague nuremberg wuerzburg for example can be visited by river cruise or land tour, never ocean cruise, madrid, leipzig, only land tour. edinburgh, glasgow, copenhagen, amsterdam, oslo, stockholm, helsinki, tallinn, riga, st petersburg, turkey, greece , barcelona, venice, naples , valencia can be directly visited by ocean cruise. brussels, london, paris, berlin, granada, cordoba, seville, figueres, milano, florence , rome vatican, can be visited through ocean excursion or land tour. could any one offer similar advice for south america, asia, africa? thanks
When considering the cost when booking early, do you consider the value of promotions? The listed price 6-12 months out may be the same as you paid, but by booking early you probably got one or more promotions included in the price--gratuities, drink packages, premium dining, onboard credits, etc.
Hello! I've been trying your different ways to compare prices but it doesn't seem to work. A cruise I want is in December. I know its a holiday month but I've been planning it specially for my mom birthday. Checking them "late" is very pricey. HELP....Im really trying to be on a budget this time around...please give me another tip? Is there any websites that has discounts? I don't know lol something...
No, you do not check late for Christmas or holiday times, you need to book early for those times. They will be more expensive anyway, getting the space is more the problem.
Ok, so not sure when we need to book. We are planning on going in 2023 though. We REALLY want a balcony. Unfortunately we are nothing how high the prices are for a balcony. So to get the cheapest price, should we wait until the last minute? We are open to going anytime in 2023. What do you suggest we do?
NEB Barnes Book early as balcony rooms are sold out fast. They also offer more on board credit if you book early . This was my experience with royal Caribbean
It really does vary a LOT! We were able to score a really nice balcony deal less than 100 days out from the cruise date, included exclusive spa amenities. But that was one of those lucky breaks. Eyes wide open!
Want a cheap cruise?? Sign up for a cabin below the waterline and agree to not open the port hole. You'll have to row the ship a few hours per day, too. How much do you tip the Whipper???
Book during the few weeks before sailing when the regular prices have dropped to half the regular price. This has happened on my last two cruises. I talked to people who actually bought my cruise for half the price that I paid. I have recently canceled my booked cruise and will "play the game" and hopefully book at half price on my cruise. GOOD LUCK
I would like to congratulate all the Female viewers of this channel with the 8th of March! Lots of Happy Cruising and Many interesting journeys (with good travel deals)!!!
Great tips but they are no good at P&O Australia. There booking early can be very costly as they give themselves a leeway in doing cost cutting Deals and you who may be out of Pocket by thousands but will not get any compensation. At the most an Upgrade that is really a downgrade from that very expensive Cabin you had a guaranty on to a Cabin that when you finally get it is much cheaper. All one can do is give them a bad name. If you ever book with them don't book until about 3 - 4 weeks before sailing Day. Booking any earlier you are playing with Fire.
Manfred Kriechbaum I think the Australian cruising market tends to follow this trend in general. The volume of cruises and competition between cruise lines just isn’t there, so it’s rare to see a bargain price. They do happen, but you have to grab them when they come around. Recently I found a repositioning cruise from Honolulu to Sydney for $4699 for a balcony from two cruise aggregators in Australia which was selling for $3599 at Vacations to go. After asking the cruise aggregator if they would match the price (the answer was no) they advised that cruise lines don’t have to honour tickets if the were purchased overseas. I doubt that’s true. But it had the result they wanted, we missed the VTG deal.
Manfred Kriechbaum I am Australian and have book two cruises with princess at the launch fare. I have saved a bit. They cost more now even though they are advertising with a discount. Been on P&O before and found princess better.
When this popped up in my recommendations, and when I saw the title "11 Ways to get lower cruise fares" with a thumbnail of carnival ship it looked legitimate to me. Any the social security case can book their cruises. Because they are already cheep to begin with + guests can always get their money back even if the complaint is fabricated.

NEB Barnes
Book early as balcony rooms are sold out fast. They also offer more on board credit if you book early . This was my experience with royal Caribbean
It really does vary a LOT! We were able to score a really nice balcony deal less than 100 days out from the cruise date, included exclusive spa amenities. But that was one of those lucky breaks. Eyes wide open!
I stopped watching other cruise channels after I found yours.
Thanks 😀😀
How do I find a good cruise travel agent?
AAA is pretty good
I always thought a suite was bigger than an inside cabin, hence suite would be more expensive?
Yes correct
Also suites are usually furnished with upgraded furniture, better decor, better bathrooms, better perks and better locations on the ships. 😊
So would it be weird for a solo traveler to stay in a suite?
No! I know many who do as they can afford it!
@@beckyqueen2409 It would be awesome. If you can afford it, do it!
When there’s very bad news in Europe the cruise lines are in a deal making mood.
Want a cheap cruise?? Sign up for a cabin below the waterline and agree to not open the port hole. You'll have to row the ship a few hours per day, too. How much do you tip the Whipper???
how much money does one need to pay if including airfare, excursions?
It entirely depends on the cruise ,port , airport ,etc
If you have any other tips on how to get a great cruise fare please leave a comment!
GOOD LUCK
thank you for the video
Great to hear you enjoyed it !
You are fantastic... I love you😇😍
very good video can I come over sometime to your house and you can show me how to do these videos as good as you do them lol
But I want the holy grail🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭!!! Really it's great advise!! Thank you!
Biggest problem for the industry: aging clients and the lack of incentives for new clients.
Try asking agents for cheaper cruses so you'll get a cheap cruse
I get deals emailed to me
do you recommend any particular websites for emails?
I would like to congratulate all the Female viewers of this channel with the 8th of March! Lots of Happy Cruising and Many interesting journeys (with good travel deals)!!!
we are talking like 50 dollars savings tops. they don't give away shit anymore
Edward White not true I have saved 500 dollars and 800 dollars on both of the launch fares
Yeah rule number 1 START COUGHING..............
I have spent months researching into spending less on cruises and found a fantastic website at Arack Ship Tips (google it if you're interested)
Wow no one in this video did he talk about the 10% discount. Hahaa oh well.
Only 10% ?

When this popped up in my recommendations,
and when I saw the title "11 Ways to get lower cruise fares"
with
a thumbnail of carnival ship
it looked legitimate to me.
Any the social security case can book their cruises.
Because they are already cheep to begin with + guests can always get their money back even if the complaint is fabricated.

Anyone else think the old Carnival ships look like ferries? Ew.
Great job, now it’s time to see a dentist
Mary Kopp that is so rude!
Horrible! You should be ashamed of yourself
More great guidance! Thx Gary!

I was docked next to one and saw no balconies at all.
