- In this video, I attempt to build a modest starter house in Minecraft Hardcore. If my player dies, then I will have to start the entire series over.
This is the first episode of a brand new Minecraft world in Hardcore Mode. The game is locked into the hardest difficulty and if my player dies. I have to start the entire series over.

i only have two things to note
A) your editing is outstanding, can't believe this is just your first episode >.< it's an amazing video that had me captive through it all
B) i'm not that huge of a minecraft player, when i play my worlds usually i don't have any plans and i just wonder around or get bored of my worlds when i create my first house ^^ i hope this series is a bit of a boost so that i don't quit my worlds and kinda follow along with your vids since setting up small step up goals is probably the best way to see any sandbox game espsecially when we're talking about hardcore world were you can play in them for years
it's so wonderful to have a bit more chill starting episode instead of the classic "best hardcore world start 2023 you'd not believe how many diamonds we found"
i can't wait to see more of your work
honestly i feel like this is so much more entertaining to watch than the “rebuilding the ENTIRE END to look like a fish bowl/transforming 400 CHUNKS OF NETHER INTO OVERWORLD IN HARDCORE” videos, the end product is something much more fathomable for the casual player and that makes it a lot easier to digest while also including a lot more REAL gameplay. the larger product videos are always so cookie cutter, “i went to farm X and farm Y and farm Z that i already built and got the materials and then ran a tnt duper and then built” with a bunch of jump cuts inbetween, which is just gameplay a lot of people can’t relate to. you’re definitely onto something here, well done :)

While those videos are entertaining, it’s very difficult to gauge the legitimacy of them as well.
Those videos are hard to build an audience since they’re so cookie cutter, you just click on whatever seems interesting, but during that process you loose the personality of the person making the video which is difficult to replicate.

Thanks for the comment! I did my best to put my heart and soul into this vid so I'm glad it shows :) It took a couple months for me to make this and I haven't even started part 2! Least to say, I’m not sure when part 2 will be out, hoping to get another out in roughly the same timeframe (once I start recording) but no promises.

This video is beautiful to watch.
Great editing, advanced gameplay, entertaining personality, calming voice.
Yet somehow at only 50 views. This is the definition of youtube algorithm, only thing it care about is clickbaits and what i call "poggers farming", which makes other low quality videos get hundreds of thousand of views in day.

Yeah, UA-cam can be super weird at times in that regard to content. I’m just focusing on making best videos I can with what I have. and i’d say if you’re trying to keep this vibe, try leaning into the games lower level mechanics a bit more; build a really cool simple dungeon spawner farm, rebuild and deck out a mineshaft and make some really cool cave spider farms, redesign a village/sand or jungle temple (i could keep going with structures but i think you get the idea lol), things that the casual player could visualize themselves doing. like i said, you got something good going on here, best of luck to you 🫶🫶
This was a great video, man! I liked the pacing and the editing style. It's not too fast paced and overly edited, but it's also not strung out and uninteresting. For me, its almost a perfect blend of the modern pacing and editing mixed with the right amount of scenes where you talk to the viewer, like the older Minecraft videos. So great job on keeping the engagement with that. If anything, I think there could be just a few more scenes where you talk with us througout a video and it would feel even better. I can't wait to see more from you

You know actually I’ve made a house in a cliff before in survival and it kinda looked good other than the mobs that kept spawning
Nice! You can try adding lighting to prevent mobs. There are some mods out there where you can toggle to see where mobs can spawn so you can light it up :)

In ur world it’s not even day 25 and you have built that cool house. In my 58 day old survival, I have full diamond armor and tools with nearly maxed out enchantments, I have beaten the ender dragon, I have raided many end cities, and I have started a villager hall. Though all of that, I don’t even have a house, only a bunch of chests in an open plains.
I mean, nothings wrong with that in my eyes. It’s a sandbox game so you can play it how you want to play it :)

I used Final Cut Pro X for this video, it depends on your situation and what your level of knowledge is for editing.
For tips, it's really hard to give a recommendation without more context, it depends but very broadly, usually just a lot practice over time. If you'd like to know more then reach out to my email in the about section on my channel for consulting enquiries.
