I love the innovation. I don't have a tractor yet, but plan to next year. I'd gladly do what I can to support ya in the meantime. Buying a hat! If you had stickers I'd get some of those too!
I like it. I don't see that I need the connection under pressure option. What I want with these is for my front remotes for my grapple. I used them more often than I take my loader off. Those plugs rarely stay in anyway. The contamination of the hydraulic system would most likely be reduced. Thank you so much for bringing up these options. If I had a fatter checking account, I would buy all your upgrades.
I actually have the Summit 1/4” flat face couplers on my grapple and have not once had an issue connecting, so I honestly don’t think the connect under pressure model would be necessary. Loader might be different, but based on what I just saw I didn’t see a huge difference. Either is better than the standard pioneer couplers!
I swap between loader and snowblower several times a winter. I struggle with the current connectors. Tractor is stored in heated garage and loader sits outside when off. Not sure how much temp has to do with it but sometimes it is 80 deg difference. I have a mauser cab with Ken’s hose extensions. A manifold setup would be awesome to get the fittings out from under the cab. Can’t wait!
Hey Kevin. I would be in for a set including the ones for the 3rd function with either version. I guess it really depends on the cost difference. Also would like to see about potential power beyond connections the same way. I would also end up having to update the connections to the Summit 4 valve module that I have.
I am very interested in this approach. Was actually looking at the aftermarket quick connect for the simple fact of the need to clean them out every single time. If this comes in at half the cost of the above. No brainer for me, especially if you also offer this for the power beyond connections as well. As for the pressure relief, not needed so much for the front 4/6 (third function). But the rear power beyond most definitely. I fight more with the pressure issues connecting my backhoe than anything else.
I certainly wouldn't want the extra length when you're already in cramped quarters. Having said that, my machine is mostly stock and unless I get a third function (which I WANT but have no use for!) I doubt I'd be getting this. Thanks for sharing, I always slobber over the toys you come up with but don't use my machine enough to justify buying most of them.
I think for the bucket connectios the regular couplers would be fine. I also think with flat faced couplers it would be cool to put 90's or 45's coming out of the floor board braket to make coupling that much easier!
Don't need the connect under pressure. I would need extra male ends for my snow blower and a set for 3rd function. Look forward to all your products coming in the mail.
I’d say the connect under pressure is a must have. Especially for loader 3rd function or diverter functions. On my 3039R, I hate having to swap to my grapple while my tractor goes into regen. It’s very difficult to do with my traditional couplers as I can’t shut the machine off to release the pressure.
I would like a connect under pressure set for my third function connections out on the loader. If I leave my 4-in-1 bucket out when I take it off, the sun builds up pressure in the lines and makes it a little harder to connect b
I would love to have a set that is sized and known to work with Ventrac, and I think there would be a demand there too. Those hydraulic implements build up just enough pressure when sitting around that it can be a consistent pain to re-connect, and you do it quite frequently when shifting between things.
Very interesting idea. This sounds like it could definitely relieve (pardon the pun) some of the hassle & mess of hooking/unhooking the hydraulic lines for folks that swap things out a lot & have no interest in a single point hookup. It seems like it could also be a really nice option for the rear hookups for the backhoe depending on what you're able to come up with. Those always seem to give me a lot more trouble than the loader side ever have for whatever reason. I'm not sure what others may think, but based on what you showed I don't really see a need for the "connect under pressure" version. That would add quite a bit of length & bulk in that already cramped area plus I assume it would probably also add some cost. Maybe after some testing it might show as more beneficial on the rear, but things seem pretty cramped as is trying to hook up the 260B. Keep doing what you do.👍
I have run into static pressure on the lift cylinder of the loader when it has not been properly put on the stand. The pioneer style connector is a pain, connect under pressure might be worth it on the lift arms, but a standard connector I would probably use on all other functions and implements as well.
I think that's a fantastic solution for the hyd couplers. I agree with you on using the standard flat face for the loader itself would be fine. I think the under pressure style would be justified for the 3rd function. I'm looking forward to a full set for my 3R Deere
I think standard flat face would be fine . But if you could design a tool that would grab one at a time pull them together just would have to connect them from lower back first work way out . Something to think about Thanks Tim T
Kevin, when will you have these available for my 2038R Power Beyond and backhoe. JD factory connections are a real pain. Difficult to connect and tight quarters.
I am interested. I have all my 3rd function attachments flat face. After dropping a female ag end in the san and spending an hour with toothpics and paper towels getting it working again.
I’m confused. The one way valve in your video is on the outside bottom of the quad connector section. On my tractor as delivered it’s on the top outside (right above where yours is) in the owners manual it shows this position as well. Which position should the restrictor be in. The top or bottom? I noticed that my 2025r does not fast dump like my 1025r did, honestly when pushed all the way to the left I do not feel/ see a change in dump speed.
Yours is how it comes from the factory, but I moved mine to the bottom and change the direction of the one-way valve for another test I was doing. It doesn't matter which one it's on, as long as the valve is in the right configuation. Regarding your fast dump, the issue is probably a bad quick connect. It would be the black or yellow line, but I've had this issue before and the culprit was the quick connector. It could be either side and the male or female. I've seen all of them cause issues. The easiest test would be to get new male ends and test those first. If you don't want to buy new ones, you can swap from other hoses to see if you can pinpoint the issue.
The connect under pressure would be good for the third function, as the electronic valve is pilot operated? And it will not relieve effectively even with the ignition on tractor off.. Not useful for the loader connections if you look ahead and turn the tactor off and use the joystick to relive pressure.
I'm sold. Can't wait. Been there on the pressure issue. Thanks.

Great idea , can’t wait till they’re available !

I would say, no need for connect under pressure. Can't wait for these to come out.
I’m in also, I could go for either set. They both are way better than current connections.

Very Nice! How much longer till the rear Hydraulic Side Link+ is ready? 😁

I would like a set today….. I hate the factory connections. Would be will to test for you as well.
Interested in a set for power beyond/ backhoe and 1 or 2 sets for a 3rd function grapple.

are they connect under pressure? It can be a bugger hooking up a loader that has been sitting in the sun.

the 1/2 inch version are a few months away.
I am interested. I have all my 3rd function attachments flat face. After dropping a female ag end in the san and spending an hour with toothpics and paper towels getting it working again.
Great idea! The stock version is super annoying.

I hate what I have, lol. Cuss all the time. Have been getting better at releasing pressure. But would change if price was right.

What is the difference between the ones you demonstrated and the ones Summit sells?
At a guess, I'd say the snap ring groove on the female (floorboard bracket) side, which Summit appears not to have... ?
smaller neck so it fits into the JD panel, snap ring groove, and integrated color bands.
😀👍
sign me up especially for the power beyond
Go with shorter versions.
I have a 7k QuickJack lift and it has those flat face connectors. Nearly drip free vs JD’s Way better than JD’s set up. Interested 🤓
