As a former subscriber I have to say this: I really don't care about any of the personal infighting among former Scientologists. I came to this channel because I wanted to learn more about the abuses of Scientology and hoped we would see it fall apart. But once the fighting started, I unsubscribed and walked away. I don't know these people. It seems to me that anything they may have done to one another is a personal problem that does not involve the audience. If Mike is a problem or Aaron is a problem or if Claire is a problem, that literally has nothing to do with me and its a soap opera I do not care to be involved in. I would re-subscribe if I thought I could come back here and learn about Scientology without the extra, dramatic fighting. I cannot stress enough that I do not care who is at fault. As a viewer, that does not involve me in the slightest.
This is exactly it. I was a subscriber until the UA-cam drama started. I come back every once in a while to see if things are back on track, but it seems like the drama hasn't stopped yet. Public fighting does nothing but benefit Scientology.

I truly hope for peace between them. Being a survivor of trauma is hard. Taking that pain and hurt and then going back into the burning building to try to rescue other people in the same flames that burned you … this isn’t work for those who want to keep things light and airy. This is grimey and hard work. This is PAINFUL work.

The fact that you're even making this video tells me I'm right about what you represent. I appreciate your empathy and your ability to be introspective about your own intention vs impact. You all must remember you were raised in a cult that trained you to basically not have friends, that you managed to build friendships anyway is a great blessing. Doesn’t matter how long you have been out, our lessons learned in life are ingrained in us and we have to work hard not to let our past interfere and that is hard whether you grew up in a cult or not. I believe you and Nora’s friendship will survive, deep down she knows you didn’t mean it as an attack on her personally.

Ive been following for a year. Im a 50 year old dude who has been around the block. My two, never been in a cult, cents.. Aaron is just a man. He cant be your leader. The tricky part is that you areat a really different place in your healing journey. You have friends who have not progressed to the point where they can tell THE Scientology story because they are still in the processing of THEIR Scientology story. So they can't get the kind of emotional distance you apply to deliver your message. I think your messaging style is more beneficial for the movement against Scientology overall. YOU ARE DOING AMAZING THINGS! People like Nora, are doing amazing things for the effort against Scientology by showing just. How. Damaging the cult still is to them personally. I also admit that iv steered away from the in-house drama by not watching those particular videos but I still watch their content that does grab my attention. the beauty of sptv is that no1 dictates what can be or cannot be said. we all have the choice to click on those videos or not. As an ex SCN for 10 years, I am still in the "unbundling" phase and I don't know if it will ever stop. We ex-Scios are ALL in some sort of "recovery phase" finding our way out of the quagmire and damage done by the cult - and it's horrible - trying to navigate one's way through "normal" life is scary enough - especially more so after being hammered daily about how nasty and dangerous it is out here "in the real world". We all have had to come to terms with the fact that WE were living in the REAL nightmare, heavily controlled and utterly brainwashed that we were the "most free and spiritually awake people on Earth". And then, when we escaped and found out the horrible truth about what we were really involved in - and what many of us had done in the cult "for the greatest good" (and the guilt that goes with that - some of us for our entire lives), having to come to terms with just how deluded, deceived and betrayed we were - PLUS losing family, friends and loved ones in the process, makes the damage irreparable for many of us. The struggle is real, the PTSD is ugly, minds, hearts and souls are hurt, damaged - one might even say fractured - and this especially applies to those who suffered untold abuse while in the cult. It makes sense that this hurt, upset and turmoil we have all lived through spills over into the public domain sometimes - especially with and by those who are so bravely and so overtly (publicly) trying to try take this vicious cult down.
Yep. That’s one of the things it has taken me a long time to learn. We always think we are the center of the universe, because in our own heads, we ARE! It’s a learning curve right now. No one really knows how to do this “right.” One thing that I find helpful is talking to people for feedback before posting or recording. That way it isn’t about being a “boss” but being a friend.

I unsubscribed when the Anti-Scientology video movement became about "Who hates who", "Why", and "You should hate this person". I've never been in Scientology but if indeed I saw that much hate, and I were stuck in it, I'd probably never leave.

I’m so confused about what Aaron supposedly did wrong? He couldn’t have been more empathetic, loving, compassionate and respectful towards his friends and the SPTV community as a whole. He didn’t invalidate anyone’s legitimate beefs, he was just trying to do what he could to try and bring peace and civility.
It’s like if you and a buddy normally greet one another by clasping one another’s shoulder. Your friend gets a bad sunburn and you clasp him without thinking and it hurts like heck. Aaron didn’t think he needed to be explicit about who he was targeting and that resulted in his words poking open wounds left by years in Scientology.

The fact that you're even making this video tells me I'm right about what you represent. I appreciate your empathy and your ability to be introspective about your own intention vs impact. You all must remember you were raised in a cult that trained you to basically not have friends, that you managed to build friendships anyway is a great blessing. Doesn’t matter how long you have been out, our lessons learned in life are ingrained in us and we have to work hard not to let our past interfere and that is hard whether you grew up in a cult or not. I believe you and Nora’s friendship will survive, deep down she knows you didn’t mean it as an attack on her personally.

The tricky part is that you areat a really different place in your healing journey. You have friends who have not progressed to the point where they can tell THE Scientology story because they are still in the processing of THEIR Scientology story. So they can't get the kind of emotional distance you apply to deliver your message.

I'll just say that *listening* to what a person is actually saying *in its entirety* is a skill that requires effort. You have to keep the context in mind while also discarding personal baggage. It's a delicate line and we all fail, just like we all fail to use the exact right words when we speak.
I was happy the other day you did your video and felt sorry for you as its not easy to be live on the internet and cover the sensitive topic you covered. Even though you're not the leader, never have you said that you are but for long time viewers we see that you are considered a "go to" person for advice based on the strength of your platform. thank you for this video. having been a strong supporter of yours for over 4 years, I have watched the AF drama, iv watched the formation n growth of our sptv community with alot of pride. I also admit that iv steered away from the in-house drama by not watching those particular videos but I still watch their content that does grab my attention. the beauty of sptv is that no1 dictates what can be or cannot be said. we all have the choice to click on those videos or not. I am over the toxicity but it won't make me stop supporting this amazing movement. ❤ you all.
As an ex SCN for 10 years, I am still in the "unbundling" phase and I don't know if it will ever stop. We ex-Scios are ALL in some sort of "recovery phase" finding our way out of the quagmire and damage done by the cult - and it's horrible - trying to navigate one's way through "normal" life is scary enough - especially more so after being hammered daily about how nasty and dangerous it is out here "in the real world". We all have had to come to terms with the fact that WE were living in the REAL nightmare, heavily controlled and utterly brainwashed that we were the "most free and spiritually awake people on Earth". And then, when we escaped and found out the horrible truth about what we were really involved in - and what many of us had done in the cult "for the greatest good" (and the guilt that goes with that - some of us for our entire lives), having to come to terms with just how deluded, deceived and betrayed we were - PLUS losing family, friends and loved ones in the process, makes the damage irreparable for many of us. The struggle is real, the PTSD is ugly, minds, hearts and souls are hurt, damaged - one might even say fractured - and this especially applies to those who suffered untold abuse while in the cult. It makes sense that this hurt, upset and turmoil we have all lived through spills over into the public domain sometimes - especially with and by those who are so bravely and so overtly (publicly) trying to try take this vicious cult down.
One of the problems with Most people (me included sometimes) is we think We are the one everyone is talking about. 99% of the time it’s just not true.
Yep. That’s one of the things it has taken me a long time to learn. We always think we are the center of the universe, because in our own heads, we ARE! It’s a learning curve right now. No one really knows how to do this “right.” One thing that I find helpful is talking to people for feedback before posting or recording. That way it isn’t about being a “boss” but being a friend.
So sorry that your loved ones felt hurt. People - Love Yourselves. If you consider Aaron a friend, don’t jump to the conclusion he is targeting you. Ask him who he was targeting. I unsubscribed when the Anti-Scientology video movement became about "Who hates who", "Why", and "You should hate this person". I've never been in Scientology but if indeed I saw that much hate, and I were stuck in it, I'd probably never leave.
