Mead is delicious I’ve been making my own meads for about 5 months now it’s incredibly rewarding especially sharing it with people who have never tried mead before. My favorite recipe I’ve made so far is my blackberry/orange mead
Honningbrew is different. If I remember correctly the guy who made this one in the game only drank honningbrew... IDR It's a lavender and citrus mead. Always use half the lavender recipes call for. It's my favorite.
Hey man really appreciate your content. Could you please make thumbnails for you videos with titles on them like: Skyrim mead part 2 That’s because your videos shown randomly and I can’t find it in your profile
I like how you said about following the instructions on the packet but EC1118 says on the packet no need to hydrate.. It's the stuff I use for all my meds :D
I think you should add info about what kind yeast nutrient you use. For example the yeast you are using get benefits from Fermaid nutrients. Any way to replace it with different one? Have you done any research on it?
So I did your recipe but you didn't show the measurements of the other ingredients but I have had it for about 2 or 3 days now and I have not seen any fermentation begin yet. Could the presence of too much hibiscus or yarrow flower cause it not to ferment?
You can use bread yeast but brewing yeast is better because you can more accurately pick the alcohol content you want. If you use bread yeast it's going to be more unpredictable and I don't know if it's true but some people say it tastes worse
White wine yeast works best for mead making but I also use ale yeast sometimes for a low alcohol session mead with some residual sweetness my recommendation for white wine yeast is lacking D-47 and for ale yeast Lallemand Nottingham ale yeast
Theres a way to measure the gravity of the liquid content. You measure the abv% by seeing what the number was when you started vs what it is when youre done. For example if i started at a 1.09 and ended up at a 1.000 you can use a formula to find out how much alcohol is in it. Ao youd be sitting at around 11 to 12%
@Jaguar-lr7jq yes there's ways to make it lower abv. What you can do is add less sugars to not let it ferment as much. After it's done fermenting you can stabilize it with chemicals and sweeten it to your desired taste
You can, and it'll ferment fine, but I'll tell you from experience it will taste terrible. You'll basically have made something that tastes a step above toilet wine. Only do it if you're just in that desperate need for booze, and if you are that desperate please seek help.
@murmur5600 I prefer Lelvin D-47 or Lelvin EC-1118, but really, any kind of wine yeast would produce better results than bread yeast for fermentation. Those two are just generally better overall for mead. Edit: forgot about Lelvin 71-B

Yesssssss extremely underrated comment
I don't drink, but making the stuff looks fun.
Same. Making alcohol isnt too hard. Set and forget. Also I used normal cooking yeast.
Me neither, always forget I already had one batch brewing

How much berry and flowers did you put in?
Would love to see you making. Original, Roman wine, like they did 2000 years ago
Etruscans were actually famous for their mead. I assume the greek and roman wine cultures stemmed from them as well.
Idk man, the Romans flavored their wine with lead..
Might be best to leave that one in the past lol
@@silasnewsome5329ifn relalt make flavornb etter you try it you should!!! I love lead 😋😋😋😋
If I make this me and my friends are doing a Skyrim rp 'i used to be an adventurer like you till I took and arrow to the knee'

Idk about anyone else but Ive dreamt about this for years 🤤🔥
Cheers 😊
Def gonna see if i can do this in my dorm
Started in my apartment
Just be careful when opening after it's been bottled. Many a ceiling has been ruined by homemade alcohol lol.

Is this recipe in your extended book?
Oooay what acids do you use?
How would I go up and bring this with a $50 Amazon gift card no experience and definitely being over 21

Can you please tell us what nutrients and acids you use? 🙏

I wonder how that would take to distilling?
Why am I here? I’m too young to drink alcohol. Screw it I’m subscribing
Whose gonna stop you if you make it yourself?
What are the portions of the ingredients?
That's how he sells the recipe book :P

How big was your container
what acid did you use for this
Hello, could you tell me how to calculate the proportion of spices that can be used? I'm doing a university project
You don't.
You guess at it
can someone tell me what the name of the song in the backround is
i bought your recipe book but it send me to a website where it doesn't load, plus i accidentally bought 2 copies.
Do you need to use specific brewing yeast? I already have plenty of instant bread yeast for baking.
No u can use bread yeast

You don't need any yeast if you use raw honey
@@Messianic-Gentile you do there’s not enough yeast in just honey
How do you make a mead only around 5 to 6 percent alcohol? And how do you measure the alcohol content?

Mgotta try this
It’s such a fun hobby
Where is your storefront?!
He's capping. I checked there is no storefront, he just has affiliate links to products on amazon, almost everything I checked is unavailable.
Where is part 2?
It takes a while for things to fermentate so he's not going to make one for a bit.
Seeing mead in a wine glass hurts me.
Nice, I'm in it hopefully you got the fake Meade right.
