You wear short hair really well. It proves that It doesn't matter if our hair is short, long or in-between, the most important thing is that we stay natural and keep it healthy. Thank you for sharing; I have learned a lot about how to maintain healthy hair by watching your videos.

Thank you Nia for the great video. I am already using a number of the products that you have mentioned, ie oils. Our afro hair is fragile and yes it does require a great deal of care and patience. But when we invest the time and effort our hair looks absolutely amazing. I am so appreciating my black sistas promoting natural hair care. Keep up the good work. You look fabulous.

D Marie It's a struggle for many of us, because it's a pioneering effort. Bathe the process in prayer! Prayer will ultimately bring you closer to Christ, and the hair issue will become less consuming.

vanessa , j I am a black girl from United Kingdom. i live in an area with hard water so my hair for most of my life has been dry and crispy. In feb this year I cut off my dreadlocks which I have had since the 1990s and began to take a long hard look at my hair and tackle the dryness problem that has always plagued me. I decided to make my own products. I've tried this and it works for me. My hair stays moisturized. I make my own shampoo using black soap and oils that work for me. To moisturize hair try adding oils to unrefined shea butter. mix well together by hand or by using a hand blender. oils such as black caster oil, extra virgin oil, jojoba, advocado, rosemary etc if i use eg coconut oil on its own it doesnt really do much for my hair. You have to experiment with the various oils to find what works for u. I moisturize regularly with the hair butter, spritzing the hair beforehand with rose water (tap water doesnt work for me). For first time my hair isn't crispy. I also wear silky, satin hair scarf when I go so I think this also helps to keep hair feeling and looking healthy. I hope this helps. Good luck
