Yes! A chef's bushcraft lunch with Simon. In the woods, with simple ingredients. If you ever decide to stop the "bloke in the woods" videos (heaven forbid) you can do "Bushcraft Chef" videos to make our mouths water and our tummies growl. Thanks for sharing. The only thing better would be to be there and enjoy it with you - which I am sure 193k plus subscribers would agree with me.
I just subscribed today.❤What a comforting video to watch. Thank you Simon. I enjoy watching you and Andy together as well, so entertaining. I will have to do some binge watching on your channel. With love from Minnesota, USA❤
You and Andy have really opened my eyes to what's possible in the wild, that bread looked incredible, nice Simon. I do enjoy when you and Andy camp together, hope this Summer and Fall we will see more of your joint collaborations. Thank you.
There is a bakery in my community that makes a jalapeno cheddar bread which is my favorite. I'll have to stop by the bakery at lunch today and pick up a loaf. Thank you Simon for all this incredible work you do so you can share your passion with us.
Hi simon! I'm a fairly new subscriber, but I've seen almost all of your videos. You have a very big heart Simon. You are a fine human being. You are very good at what you do. I don't know if you thought about it, but first a teacher, then a carpenter. Everything leads to what you are doing now. Funny. You don't just help people with what you do. You help them by just being you. Keep up the good work you are doing. I will follow you as long as you post videos brother. Lots of love from Sweden 🙏🥰✌
@@simonablokeinthewoods You deserve all the best Simon. You put your whole heart into what you do. And no matter what happens, there is a smile on the face. You do a great deal for many people 👍🤗 Wish you a nice weekend 🍻🙏🥰 (And Simon. There's no death. We never lose anyone. Maggie's got you covered 😉👊)
I love cooking bread with added herbs. I really enjoy parsley dough, or maybe thyme dough, but for some reason, my missus prefers it with dil! Love the shoe....😅
And so far I have hardly ever heard the background noises you sometimes talk about in your vlogs. The sounds of the vlogs are so perfect - and nice to listen to!
Just sat watching with the latest addition to the family ingratiating him into the world of Bushcraft and Camping… He celebrated his second week in the world by kipping under a tarp in mixed weather conditions, glad to say he seemed completely unphased by it all!!! 🤣
Oh Simon, you've made me hungry! I'm camped in the woods at 7000' in Arizona, beating the heat. Fire restrictions have just been lifted due to daily rain for the past month. So… I only have a Coleman oven, not a reflector type which appears ideal, but tomorrow I'll be baking bread over a camp fire! Thanks Simon, you're an inspiration!
Caught the Newfoundland provincial flag patch on your pack. I’m guessing as a small memorial to sweet, fuzzy Maggie ❤ It’s comforting to me to know that she is still tagging along on your adventures, if only in spirit. She is most definitely missed. All the best Simon, from Nova Scotia 🇨🇦 -Darby
I was super stoked to see the flag patch then immediately sad because Maggie :( As a Newfoundlander and a huge dog lover, I always loved seeing her. Great video as always Simon
Wow! What a delicious looking meal you prepared. Interestingly, you and Andy just posted videos of your culinary accomplishments using the same reflector over technique. I think you two should have prepared a joint video. That way you and Andy could have eaten reflector oven baked chicken with that wonderful bread and French onion soup. Add a brewski or two or . . . and then you two would have the perfect meal! :) Great video!
Had a super shit day . Feel better after watching this as I find baking therapeutic also the sound of nature . Had my mouth watering . Great video . I actually live in your neck of the woods . I’ve learned loads off you and vildmark rivers and trails . Thank you kind sir 👍🏻
A new Simon video! I appreciate these simple videos as much as the camping/hiking/canoe adventures. They remind me to do and see new and interesting things in everyday life rather than only looking forward to the weekend.
I like the clear spoken communication. I'm a Kiwi and have difficulty understanding what some kiwi youtubers of similar outdoors genre are actually saying.
Couldn't miss it despite the jalapeno warning. Think I'm far enough away in Western Australia :) Very classy, Simon. Every video you have ever made is classy, right back to showing us your rucksack. Every one of them can be viewed over and over, and as a family, we do. Thank you for making our evenings so enjoyable.
This made me think back to when i was doing my traing? to be a specail needs teaching assistant, i had a placement in a infant school, well we made bread, my group of children were picking there nose kneeding the bread omg haha we made it into plaits and they took it home to Mum
Is there no end to your cooking skills ? Next you'll be making lobster thermidor in the woods . Another relaxing and fascinatig video . Loved that vivid green carpet of moss on the tree trunk . 🥣👌♡
I love everything in this video, my favorite is always seeing The Simon's Saw, patent pending! In Oklahoma, we had rain almost every day back in June/July. Now it's just unbearably hot! Thank you so much for going through all this trouble for us!
Hey Simon: Hope all is well in the UK there. It’s the end of summer and this video kinda reminded me of that Soup and Bread 🥖 wonderful combination this time of year. I just enjoy when you teach us how to do things. Great video See you in your next video ❤ 🍽️🏕️
Great video, Simon. Nice little camp lunch. The camp ovens really opens up possibilities for baking at a campfire, something most folks don't know about or really think much about. Nice to see you enjoying the outdoors. I'm glad the rain let up for you. God bless Simon and stay safe on your travels.
Omg, that looked so tasty Simon, would you mind popping around to my back garden and producing the same dish please? 😂😂 Thanks so much for taking the time to film and edit all of that. Superb.
Jalapeno & cheese bread - making my mouth water already! Got guests tonight so I'll put this on my 'to watch' list and can't wait to see how it's done!
Considering the amount of jalapeños you added to the bread, you're not scared of a bit of culinary heat, as the pitifully few pepper-crumbs in the soup would imply.
Looks like your eating like a king out their in that beautiful English forest . I,ll have to try your recipe but I,ll wait till winter , cozy winter comfort food .
Simon's got skills!!!! Gourmet lunch in the woods! Well done; honestly, I thought you'd lost the plot baking that bread in a reflector oven, but wow, it turned out great. Thanks for sharing. Be well
You make me want to start cooking outdoors
Amazing! Now I want to go make jalapeño cheesy bread! I’m going camping with you! Great job! 😋
Simon, I’m a new subscriber loving your Chanel, one word to describe you pal “ AMAZING “, love everything you do pal , good on ya 👋👍

You are so very right!!! Only Simon is a million miles from me...well a few thousand anyway.
That looked so tasty Simon. I hope the family enjoyed the leftovers. ❤❤

You're food is amazing! You cook better in the woods than people can in their kitchen! Me first of all! Wow! Such wonderful food!!!

Yet another editing masterpiece. So free flowing and for 23 minutes I escaped.
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Plaited bread, onion soup … you keep raising the bar for what can be achieved on a little fire in the woods! Nice video.

Funny you and Kent survival put a similar video out about the oven on the same day!!?? Funny 🤣
I appreciate this man. I'm sure many of you do as well. 👍
Just watched your mate Andy cook whole chicken using the same technique, your bread and his chicken both looked awesome.
Deglazed...that ranks pretty high on a list of words you never thought you'd hear when cooking over a campfire.
A new Simon video! I appreciate these simple videos as much as the camping/hiking/canoe adventures. They remind me to do and see new and interesting things in everyday life rather than only looking forward to the weekend.
HI simon thanks for another great vid
Love that you have the Newfoundland and Labradour flag patch on your bag!
