90s sports themes were great! I play 90s and early 2000s games all the time, NBA Live, GameDay etc love those games! ua-cam.com/video/rWXFtbyASEs/v-deo.html
EVER!! THE ONLY ONE THAT MATTERS!! Don't forget about how it started before the song really kicked in and the presentation story for the teams we were about to watch play on NBC. John Tesh went in on this theme.
I still love those pre-game player lineups/intros. Something about the combination of the grandiose, pumped up, borderline pretentious body language of the players and Kitzrow screaming their names is still hilarious to me.
Ahhh yes!!!... The duo of Shaq & Kobe, who are the last tandem to 3-peat 😁... I miss those days!!!... Still can't believe it's been 4 years since we lost the Mamba 💔
Definitely. Awesome amount of games. The Dreamcast is vga cable compatible. You can also use a vga to HDMI converter for a modern TV and it looks very clear like that. Dreamcast was underrated.
I got the game for 97p (yes, less than £1 GBP!) new on clearance back in 2001 and yeah, that music alone was worth playing the game for. It's actually a blast to play too though!
I loved this game a whole lot....I remember renting the Nintendo 64 version two weeks before Christmas of 1999 at Blockbuster and it was a nice holdover...until I got the Dreamcast version two weeks later and was in paradise!!!! Only thing that I hated about the DC version that it doesn't have the rookies (e.g. Elton Brand and Ron Artest/Metta World Peace with the Bulls, Steve Franchise (Francis) with the Rockets, etc.). However, the PS1 and N64 versions had Lamar Odom on the Clippers.
Probably my favorite multiplayer game of all time, at least as far as local. Evolved enough over the earlier NBA Jam/Hangtime games, but not broken like NBA Hoopz later was.
I slightly choose NBA hangtime compared to NBA Showtime because I never played Showtime on a home console only in the arcade while I had the Sega genesis version of NBA hangtime.love both games none the less!!
Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal played against Father and Son Dell and Stephen Curry. Vince Carter became team mate with Dell Curry in his rookie and sophomore years. While he played against Dell Curry's son Stephen Curry. 😁😁😁
@@Bird_Dog2099hoopz is good but I never liked that they force you to choose if you want to play as a guard, forward or center. Also they don’t show you the roster until you choose the team something both nba hangtime and showtime did. Gameplay wise hoopz is slightly slower, having an extra character on screen seemed to have sacrificed the speed of the game a little. Hoopz added a back down your opponent button which was cool and as I mentioned already it’s 3 on 3 instead of 2 on 2 for showtime so it adds some extra depth to the gameplay. Visually the games are identical whether you’re comparing the ps1 versions of showtime and Hoopz or the ps2/Dreamcast versions of showtime and Hoopz they look the same. Hoopz for Dreamcast and ps2 had mini games like horse and 21 which are fun to play for a while but I don’t think add a whole lot to the game to be honest. To sum it up I prefer showtime slightly more for its speed, music and little details that were removed from Hoopz for whatever reason. Both games are great though can’t go wrong with either

93 finals. Bulls vs. Suns. Epic NBC intro. Loved the 90s :(

1:10 the greatest network sports theme ever
EVER!! THE ONLY ONE THAT MATTERS!!

John Tesh went in on this theme.
The theme is called Roundball Rock, and it was composed and recorded by John Tesh.
This is the NBA on NBC
I still remember the theme song. Timeless
This is the ABA on ABC! :D
@@JohnSmith-zw8vp🤡
I remember the first time i booted up this game and the NBC NBA theme came on I nearly lost my shit.
Did you find your shit?

This is the best in the jam/hang time series
Best intro ever in ANY sport!
I wish more sports games at the time used the intro sequences to games like this one
I miss you, KB. What an amazing game. Also, “That boy is bad”🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ahhh yes!!!... The duo of Shaq & Kobe, who are the last tandem to 3-peat 😁... I miss those days!!!... Still can't believe it's been 4 years since we lost the Mamba 💔
I need to get my Dreamcast back out of storage, have this game and at least 50 others from back in the day, *sigh* nostalgia eh? lol
NHL Hitz
Me too mines have a lot of dust on it😂😂

RIP Kobe
Best game of all time I’ve been playing it religiously for 5 years now lol
I'd buy this game just for the theme music alone!!! ;)
Jawskillaful same here

Got it on the image
Nothing and I mean NOTHING got you excited for hoops like the NBA on NBC theme.
Loved this era of basketball
Kobe and shaq :)

I was born in 99, I have this on my n64 my uncle game me! My father and I had so much fun playing growing up
@@natedb99 It is a dope game!!! I was born in 89, but also played it at Arcades in Raleigh, NC called Cyberstation and Adventure Landing
If NBC ever gets the NBA back (have they made any serious attempts)? They GOT to bring this iconic theme back!
“The boy is bad!” Took me out. Lol.
Now we know where Steph gets it from. Dale hit a lot of 3's. Lol
Dell*
Shaq is ripped!
No way Vince Carter could ever push Shaq over like at 4:30 irl….but that’s what makes this game awesome.
Probably my favorite multiplayer game of all time, at least as far as local. Evolved enough over the earlier NBA Jam/Hangtime games, but not broken like NBA Hoopz later was.
NBA streets was great too
Would this be better Than hoopz?
I played it at the arcades at Golfland at one point
Good ole days
This was one of my favs
Oh my God!!!! so smooth, one of the best ones that I ever seen
The drum beat that starts at 3:30 is the same drum beat used is SWV’s song “Right Here” just sped up a little
KOBE FOREVER
Rip to my bro. We’d always bill up and play this 🕊️ 💔
If anyone wants to play this online via PC and Parsec message me. Trying to get a league going.
Omg yes. Please.
@@alphacentauri8285 yeah I’m definitely down to coordinate a league. The game needs a community it’s too under appreciated!
MJ in the finals. Gold
I don’t have a problem with this game, but I prefer Hangtime. I think it’s because Hangtime is a little crazier than Showtime.
I slightly choose NBA hangtime compared to NBA Showtime because I never played Showtime on a home console only in the arcade while I had the Sega genesis version of NBA hangtime.love both games none the less!!
Yeah, Dreamcast was a more powerful system than ps1. Came after.
How the hell does Shaq lose a tipoff?
Why does everyone play with the Lakers?(Sonics fan) cough
MAJOR SONICS FAN HERE TOO.IN THIS GAME AND NBA HANGTIME I ALWAYS PICK THE SONICS(KEMP & PAYTON OR KEMP & SCHRIMP)
I don't play with the Lakers lol I main Sacramento 💕
Kemp was always fun to play with in nba jam.
Because Kobe and Shaq were the dominators in the NBA (champs) back then.
Best music of the NBA Jam/Hangtime series but the graphics and game play are no where near as good as arcade version.
NBA on NBC will be coming back next year.
Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal played against Father and Son Dell and Stephen Curry.
Vince Carter became team mate with Dell Curry in his rookie and sophomore years.
While he played against Dell Curry's son Stephen Curry.
😁😁😁
Does no one have the song 9:16 on a loop?
Durn that's insane The dream cast version looks better the the ps1 version
Shaquille O'Neal 4:58 he shoot Los Angeles Lakers
He really heating up 8:00
What’s the difference between this and nba hoopz? They look very similar
Except One Of Them Is Good Which Is This Game
Vince and T-Mac🤔
What a game!
Cue roundball rock.
Tips on how to block a dunk pls?
I'm getting those NBA Jam Vives from watching this video...It feels like a clone of NBA Jam for some reason
It's made by Midway just like NBA Jam
@@HURT108 ...okay, then that explains a whole lot 😂😂
Midway lost the case for the name "nba jam" with acclaim ...that is the reason he change the name of the game to nba hangtime and nba showtime
@@conflicto7575 ...Interesting, I didn't know, cool
Is this better than nba jam on
the ps3..???
That's a hard one. Both games are very similar. Get both if you can.

This or nba hoopz?
The same game different rosters

Dell Curry wins a tip off over Shaq 😱😨 only on this game 😏
Well lets not forget to is the father of Sten Curry...therefore his genetics our far superior! lol
Do you still have this? I'll paypal you $5 do get a screenshot of something. LMK
You can just order the game from ebay for the exact same amount
I can send it to you
who is this 1999 curry?
Dell Curry is the father for current NBA players Steph and Seth.
If you enjoy this game. Try NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 on current generation consoles.
Kobe. ❤❤❤

Stephen Curry30. Dell curry is probably the best player in the game....
