@RisingVictor How did I know someone was going to ask that...:D Basically, a scabbard is what Link has on his back to hold his sword when he isn't using it. The master sword is the only weapon that Link uses that has one.
I actually vaguely remember his story in his character bio! If I remember correctly, Zelda, after the defeat of Ganondorf, sensed a familiar dark power to Ganondorf in a far off dimension, and wishing to prevent his return, asked Link to embark on the journey to purge the dark force, which was Soul Edge. It's also implied at the end of his Arcade mode cutscene he used the Ocarina of Time to get to the world of Soul Calibur and back.
@RisingVictor That's what I'd think too, but I guess they decided not to bother giving each weapon that Link has a unique Scabbard (or sheath). Instead, he just places the weapon on his back and it just stays there. :P
Shulk should be in the latest Soul Calibur as the Nintendo exclusive character. After all, Bandai Namco owned Monolith Soft before handing them to Nintendo.
SCVI on the Switch, I can kind of get behind since it's "30 FPS. Fighting game. Choose one." but I think we can all agree that SCII HD Online is long overdue for a Switch port.

I need a back story on how souledge managed to threaten the Hyrulian dimension. Memories of using him & Maxi in the arcade version.
So sad he wont be in the HD remake D':
It’s beautiful 😍🤧😢
This is basically the one from smash
Namco, making better LoZ themes than Nintendo since 2002.
And boom goes the dynamite.
And the most realistic characters, seriously my mind was blown when i saw Link in Soul Calibur for the first time compared to SSB and OOT
XxVoiceofSurvivalxX Link looks perfect in oot! that old graphics make him dang sexy dude! the more realistic Link looks the less Link he is. i mean.. my english is totaly wrong but i think you know what i mean right? :D
Uh... yea... i do
LINK Was The Only Reason Why I Got & Love Playing Soul Calibur 2!
The best fighter in SoulCaiibur II in the best port of SC II
The classic Zelda theme just got epic!
I dont think I've ever heard a song designed to blue ball me before, but god damn whenever you get to *ahem* climax of the song it just peters outs.
link is an amazing character.
Some weird logic of this theme:
-Link is seen in a stage you'd fight Maxi and Yunsung in original Arcade on promotionals and demo videos
-Theme plays in Cassandra and Sophitia's stage when you fight him in two player mode, also in the Destined Battle with Raphael in Link's arcade mode. Never in the other...
