- Detective Jack Mook adopted two Pittsburgh boys, and got the family he never expected to have. Steve Hartman returns for an update to an "On the Road" from 2014, to find Mook has new additions to his family.
bro he went from single, aloney macaroni, to having 5 childs, a wife and a doggo.

Michael Beary Good cops are literally some of the best people. Their genuine desire to serve, and protect the public is so strong. You can always tell when a cop is in it for the right reasons. It’s not just “I wanna catch bad guys”. It’s “I wanna help people”. Unfortunately the bad cops tarnish the reputation of ALL cops. But hopefully that changes soon.

Aww I loved this story when it was just him adopting those wonderful boys! Now it just gets better and better! I am so happy the boys have a real family now and that their whole family is complete! They all make one beautiful family! I wish them all a life of love and happiness!

Detective Mook is a hero 3 times over: a hero for helping keep the people of Pittsburgh safe, a hero for his service in the Armed Forces, and a hero for giving these two boys the good and loving home they deserved. It is beyond gratifying to see his selfless act ended up with him finding love and not 2, but 5 children.

Incredible story. Man has a heart of gold and now has a beautiful wife to compliment. Best of luck to that lucky couple as well as those five incredibly fortunate children.

I want to be a Mook now. I am born and raised in the great city of Pittsburgh. I can tell you people are tough and rough and hard working. But it seems, under that rough worked skin, most have a mushy side. I think we all know Mook the cop might be the mushiest of them all. Thanks for taking these boys and giving them a chance at life.
