- Our pet Crocodile Loco, calling out after getting his enclosure cleaned out.
He also ate his first hopper mouse today.
Slowly increasing his food size as he grows.
Even though Australia has some of the hardest restriction laws on keeping such animals, it's a rewarding animal to keep after all the hard work to obtain the license.
Very cute
hey mate I'm also in Australia, what do you need to do to get one legally?
Contact your local Fauna department. Each state and territory have different rules and regulations.
Where I live, Queensland, Melbourne, you need an Advanced Wildlife Ownership License to own these guys, I’m planning on owning one too later after I feel I have enough experience with my Lace Monitor, which I got as a Baby and is now almost fully grown. But for care there are some good articles on Google
@@chrismoustrides3905 Hey how big of a pool are you gonna give it when it’s fully grown, is a 500 or 600 gallon pool tank good enough?
How Long did it take him to get to this size since he was a hatchling/baby if you know by any chance?
He was only a hatchling when it was recorded
@@chrismoustrides3905 oh ok, How long was he in the tank for when he was a hatchling/had to move to a larger tank? im planning on getting a Freshy myself an could use some advice/tips for Enclosures if got any man haha.
@@ashash6866 he grew out of that tank into a larger one in about a year, then progressed into an enclosure that I used an old spa bath shell as the pond. I’m in the process now of modifying horse stables on our property now so the crocs have indoor/outdoor enclosures.
