@Meat for all Another way to look at it is, humans are the only animals who are dumb enough to have created the most oppressive form of government (communism) in order to "fight oppression" And after the most bloody century (20th) where more people died due to communism than any other form of government in history, there are STILL people dumb enough to continue to champion communism/socialism.

You would be uncomfortable too if a stranger was leaning over you. Joey's body language is clearly confrontational is this guy is trying the keep a safe distance.
Kurt Halbauer I agree. I admire Joey’s activism, but you have to give people their personal space or they feel threatened and defensive. I know Joey’s leaning in to get the mic closer to the guy, but it’s also obvious that he’s leaning in to him in a more confrontational way as he’s trying to make his points clear and that would make anyone uncomfortable. The guy still stuck around though, and it was a good debate. Joey did amazing in his arguments.
If the argument is that he’s being a hypocrite he got him when he said vegans kill bugs. Sure, he argued veganism is reducing the amount of suffering possible but that’s not the argument. He had a point saying it wasn’t on his sign.
All of these excuses and weird justifications.. all of them boil down to “because I like it”. That’s it. That’s everyone’s argument at the end of the day. Everything else is semantic nonsense.
I think most people don't give detailed information on why they make the choices they do because it's really not something you just start aggressively sharing with everyone you meet usually.
Wow, this guy didn’t even consider how his wife would feel if he punched her, he only considered how it would affect him. “She wouldn’t like me”. I think this is the problem. People are only thinking about how their actions affect themselves, not the victims. Good of him to sit and discuss and think about it though.
@@simonnaylor3536 I like the taste and i want it, i want to be happy and feel the best way possible and thats why i eat meat, this world is designed in a way that species eat each other and try to survive, we just live by morales and rules because we are human thats all
@@cenklol we breed billions of animals into absolutely horrible existence and exploit them and brutalize them and you think they deserve that because it makes you happy?
Bruh lions eat animals so that animals dont eat all their food source and go extinct Same thing with humans. Also if we only ate vegetables. We would go extinct
@Alex Wood actually first of all just because one news site based in the UN doesnt mean that all of the UN wants us to go plant based. Also there isnt a food shortage except in countries in Africa etc. And if countries like the US actually decided to help them it wouldnt be hard. Also we can clean water and salt water by boiling it and treat it in other more advanced ways. Also it actually farm animals only contribute up to 18 percent of greenhouse gas emissions. Also while all the greenhouse gasses we release are bad. Half a year ago it something like that a volcano erupted in Hawaii and released more greenhouse gas emissions than we have in the past 100 years. So yes what we do is pushing us to the edge. But farming animals contribution to greenhouse gas emissions is nothing compared to factories and volcanoes. Also antibiotic resistant bacteria isnt solely because of their use on cows. Anti biotic resistant bacteria is constantly changing and evolving. It isnt just because of farm animals. Also I dont think u even read ur article. Because it says only five have happened and they were millions of years ago. And they weren't cause by humans. One of them was actually cause becaus eof a lack of oxygen because of the surplus in plants because there were too few herbivores. And if the world went vegan there wouldn't be any herbivores because we would have destroyed their food sources.
@Alex Wood also we make sure we eat the animals we produce and it also said that plants contribute to 80 percent of all earths biomass and bacteria has 15 percent. Its is a very delicate balance. We only ten percent of the energy from eating the previous trophic level. So if cows who eat however much food have to eat the undesirable and inedible foods we grow that come out wrong. And have to eat some grass and hay. Compared to us having to eat way more vegetables and still being vitamin deficient and there arent any leftovers we can eat unlike the farm animals which eat our undesirables and inedibles. I'm choosing for them to eat the left overs without destroying nature and using up their food source And how does us force breeding farm animals affect ecosystems. If anything it should be helping them. They eat their 80 percent of food source and predators like tigers and lions that could be facing extinction will have a bigger food source
@Alex Wood also it isnt because we farm animals that we are over populating. It is because of people living longer and reproducing at the same rate. And if ur concerned about farm animals over populating (because u didn't specify) we can easily eat them to make up the difference. The world could use an overabundance of food
@Alex Wood i dont think u understand though. While it would be a big success if we could remove 18 percent of the greenhouse gasses. It won't really change much. Because that 18 percent is nothing compared to what we have and will still continue to do even if we did try to stop it. Also we will not have *that* much more land available. We would have lot less actually. And even if we did somehow have that much it wouldnt matter. Because the economy would crash and that would cause all those big countries to destroy more trees and more land to convert to our needs to grow food for humans. They would try to stabilize the economy and get ahead and would further destroy the environment to do that. There is an estimated global population of 9.7 billion people in 2050. And it just keeps going up. So even if we did have that much farmland (which we will not) the strain of our dietary needs will be solely on plants. No one would replant trees and even if they did they would just cut them down again as our population grows. Eventually we would be able to allow our soil to rest and regain nutrients and crop and soil quality would go down. It wouldnt be long before humans went extinct. Not to mention before that we would have severe vitamin deficiencies (you can look it up) and tons of animals would die including almost all farm animals, all predators and other creatures like bees. And bees play a MAJOR role in the environment. Believe me there is a very large chain of bad things that would happen if they went extinct which they definitely would. U can also look that up. So while killing animals may be evil. It is a necessary evil. Welcome to nature

If so, how are they not applicale to animal commmodifying and killing in view of palatal pleasure? Veganism is based on the fact that no one (not one person ever) has come up with at least one trait that makes commodifying and killing farmed animals morally acceptable when doing the same thing to pets or humans is moraly wrong (at least in today's modern society where we live: moral standards evolve over time which is a good thing right?) So here's my question to you: what trait, what particular so profound difference is there in non human animals that would make it moraly acceptable to commodify and kill them? @@sam-zo6tn Hello there, may I point out several dietary guidelines in favor of whole plant based diets? It is the position of the American Dietetic Association that appropriately planned vegetarian diets, including total vegetarian or vegan diets, are healthful, nutritionally adequate, and may provide health benefits in the prevention and treatment of certain diseases. Well-planned vegetarian diets are appropriate for individuals during all stages of the life cycle, including pregnancy, lactation, infancy, childhood, and adolescence, and for athletes. Another guidline is the 2019 edition of Canadian guideline which says: Many of the well-studied healthy eating patterns include mostly plant-based foods. Plant-based foods can include: • vegetables and fruits • whole grain foods • plant-based protein foods Eating plant-based foods regularly can mean eating more fibre and less saturated fat. This can have a positive effect on health, including a lowered risk of: • cancer • heart disease • type 2 diabetes. And last example: In the newly-released Australian Dietary Guidelines, plant-derived foods are given as alternatives to animal-derived foods, with meal planning advice accommodating vegan eating. In fact, the Guidelines state that alternatives to animal foods (such as nuts, seeds, legumes, beans and tofu) can, for all Australians, "increase dietary variety and can provide a valuable, affordable source of protein and other nutrients found in meats." Therefore, maybe you could find peer reviewed scienc based articles supporting your claims? Meanwhile, have a good day and take care.

Meshari Because the taking of the animal’s life is completely needless. It wouldn’t be cruel to kill an animal if you were in a survival situation. Why is it so awful for people to want to stop the suffering of animals when it's not necessary, I don't understand why people get so pressed over this. Backwards world.
I think the guy actually indirectly hit on the real explanation... He said that people who were racist or in support of human slavery on the basis of them being a different race were only "stupid people". But there was a time when most of society were racist and supported human slavery. So does that mean most of human society was stupid at that time (at least with regard to that issue)? We could extrapolate that to how most people in society today support speciesism towards animals and their exploitation/enslavement and murder etc based on being a different species, and using his same logic, we could conclude that most people in society today are stupid when it comes to the issue of animal rights. Rather than calling them stupid (his words), another way to put it is that during human slavery, most of society were brainwashed to accept it (apart from the minority of abolitionists), and now during animal slavery, most of society are brainwashed to accept it (apart from the minority of vegans/animal advocates).
God damn, you got patience. I hope these people watch these videos and actually listen to their own bullshit and think 💭 “wtf am I talking about?”. Animal abusers are all the same.
He reminded me of my thought process the day before and shortly after going vegan. I still had questions and probably some excuses still stuck in my mind. We couldn't do it, it took a few years but eventually we quit having it. Just a few of my friends get together now and shoot a few clay pigeons. The meal is all plant based. The vegan community still comes out to the range to see that we are not having any meat or dairy products.

6:00 Somehow i have to agree with this guy. I once asked a friend of mine "If you knew before you were born that you would live a pretty decent life but when you got to the age of 60 you would get cancer and suffer severely from that cancer for 2 years before you die at age 62. Would you still want to be born?" And he said "Yes, as long as i don't know during my first 60 years I would suffer the last 2 years of my life, i'd prefer to be born." That makes me wonder whether also those 70 billions of animals would prefer their current life rather than no life at all. (Of course I'm talking about the free-range animals. Living a decent life for most of your time on this planet is important)
unfortunately most people eat animals from factories, so that example doesn't apply. And even if it did, you're breeding animals for food and we all know/or we can easily find out that humans don't need to consume animals to survive/thrive, thus making it totally unnecessary and not to mention destroys the planet's ecosystems.. the negative/violence is endless, similar to the endless justifications to keep doing something society has imposed/conditioned when you didn't have a choice/discernment wasn't developed.
But that’s invalid because free range isn’t necessarily what you believe, a chicken needs 2ft by 2ft to be classed as free range that’s not the free 60 years of life a human would be able to live
I've noticed that as well, I'm not sure if the companies are actually desperate to deter people who are watching vegan content from going vegan, or make them lapse on their veganism, by shoving 'tasty looking' food in their faces to tempt them back into wanting to eat it. I've noticed these sorts of ads on various vegan videos. Honestly though, for people who have listened enough to what the vegan videos are saying, they're often talking about the propaganda in advertising that the animal industries shove in our faces, and so when it literally happens while you're watching the video, it might drive the point home for you and allow you to see through the bs advertising.

"hmm"..."I suppose so"..."you've got a good point"..."lions though" 🤦♂️🙄
Bruh lions eat animals so that animals dont eat all their food source and go extinct
Same thing with humans.
I'm choosing for them to eat the left overs without destroying nature and using up their food source
And how does us force breeding farm animals affect ecosystems.

What second hand benefits (health, environmental issues, modern day slaves for farming crops that feed the farm animals 5 to 15 times more than needed be if directly consumed by humans, land use -80% of arable land is used to feed farmed animals-...) would you like to pass up on?
2/ "why animal abuse is immoral": lets look at the definition of immoral=not conforming to the patterns of conduct usually accepted or established as consistent with principles of personal and social ethics-------->aren't you applying moral principals to guide your life choices? If so, how are they not applicale to animal commmodifying and killing in view of palatal pleasure?
Veganism is based on the fact that no one (not one person ever) has come up with at least one trait that makes commodifying and killing farmed animals morally acceptable when doing the same thing to pets or humans is moraly wrong (at least in today's modern society where we live: moral standards evolve over time which is a good thing right?)
So here's my question to you: what trait, what particular so profound difference is there in non human animals that would make it moraly acceptable to commodify and kill them? Antibiotic resistance occurs naturally, but misuse of antibiotics in humans and animals is accelerating the process.
Plant-based foods can include:
• vegetables and fruits
• whole grain foods
• plant-based protein foods
Eating plant-based foods regularly can mean eating more fibre and less saturated fat. This can have a positive effect on health, including a lowered risk of:
• cancer
• heart disease
• type 2 diabetes.
And last example: In the newly-released Australian Dietary Guidelines, plant-derived foods are given as alternatives to animal-derived foods, with meal planning advice accommodating vegan eating. In fact, the Guidelines state that alternatives to animal foods (such as nuts, seeds, legumes, beans and tofu) can, for all Australians, "increase dietary variety and can provide a valuable, affordable source of protein and other nutrients found in meats."

This was awesome. Excellent work, Joey.
Amazing job!
I remember being just like this when I was in my late teens and early twenties until the penny dropped. What is it that is that light bulb moment? I think it is just starting for this man. I can see the uncomfortable anguish and hypocrisy right down to his body language, his searching for an excuse to keep abusing animals.
That mirroring tho. 11:01 haha.
"It happens in nature every day, it's horrible. Because it's so horrible, and I even admit that, I'll pay for it, that horrible thing, to happen even more!"
What was this guy on about I couldn’t keep up with his excuses 😭😂 “it’s natural to kill eachother?” “Yes” “but you don’t agree with murder” “no”
@Billy Dragneel if we didnt have moral agency that ultimately became the law, we'd all be fucking dead.
stop being stupid.
Earth to Rosita thank you!
I love watching your videos Joey they give me the confidence I need to talk to people I've always felt better standing inside the cube I do better one-on-one yesterday I was live on the radio on Kiss 108 which is a huge radio station here in the United States and I was able to speak for 47 second they were talking about processing meat and I called and said it's not processing it's murdering and then I talked about really key points very quick to put something in their brain to make them think and one of the radio host said she was a vegetarian and after me calling she was going to turn to veganism thank you for helping me and so many others find the courage to be able to speak I've always been an advocate I've just always been nervous about speaking and having confrontation and now I welcome it.
Oh Joey how do you do it. You have the patience of a saint! Animals in the wild they dont have televisions.😂😂 definitely a good idea for him not to have children 😂
Why do the vegans always look so healthy compared to the meat eaters?
I don't think this guy has any morals, I mean, just look at his haircut haha.. anyway, great video as well always Joey and let's turn this planet vegan 🌱
😂😂😂
Classic vegan ad hominem attack.
Ad hominem attack. Stick to countering his arguments. That's easy enough. (I'm a vegan BTW)
@@kurthalbauer7676 It Is an ad hominem attack, but what makes it a "vegan ad hominem attack." Are you saying that only vegans use ad hominem arguments?
BackFatBetty91 haha lets have a look at ur face then u vegan fuck
Do you still wonder if we live in a world full of sociopaths?
Sounds like he's related to Bill Gates wanting to wipe out most of the humans on the planet 😂 crazy man!! Great work as always Joey 👍
Veganism is a tough battle, because the people we need to go vegan are people like this interviewee. Just very dense, uncaring people. Sadly we need people like these to be vegan but holy f##k.
Slowly, slowly. Maybe our grandchildren can carry on the fight for us if we have any
MIKE MEYERS!!!!!
The dude on the left needs to read and follow "How not to Die" because he looks like death warmed over....and his arguments are just as bad
I agree. He looks like he’s on crack and acts like he’s brain dead
@@123thesophster yes indeed !
God damn, you got patience. I hope these people watch these videos and actually listen to their own bullshit and think 💭 “wtf am I talking about?”. Animal abusers are all the same.
I thought this was a very good interview
yo just letting you know Joey and anyone else that youtube turned off my notifications for you so had to look you up right now
again and again the same ridiculous arguments..
Wowwww 50 minutes. Thank you for doing this.
Cheers Joey 👋🏻 Tape face from BGT whent vegan that night 🙌🏻 he did try to put up a fight but nothing joey can't handle 🙌🏻🌱💚
You are just fantastic Joey!
This was a really awesome discussion!! Thank you for having this conversation.
He reminded me of my thought process the day before and shortly after going vegan. I still had questions and probably some excuses still stuck in my mind. I wasn't 100% convinced it would help farmed animals but I knew I had to do something about it and at least live by example. I feel that it's people like him who are still somewhat defensive but also thoughtful that are the closest to becoming vegan.
This conversation went all over the place, but you did a good good Joey at bringing it back to the real issue. I think this guy has a kind soul regardless of his logic. I think he will walk alway looking at things from a different perspective. I wonder if he will go vegan 🌱 💚 after this.
This was a great . Keep up the good work Joey .
You know when I was a meat eater my mind was so different , I hated it I used to wake up everything around me felt so dark including drug abuse besides eating animals , I used to be afraid to walk around I had Fight or Fly mindset its gone now , because removing animal flesh ... i can walk around much more feel free something that people who knew me from the past will never understand me also I learn so much about my self and people
Every year I used to host a memorial skeet shoot and BBQ. Our small vegan community wanted justification for our actions with the BBQ.
We couldn't do it, it took a few years but eventually we quit having it. Just a few of my friends get together now and shoot a few clay pigeons. The meal is all plant based.
The vegan community still comes out to the range to see that we are not having any meat or dairy products.
I have no idea how Joey kept his patience through this
Gabby Mouse Do you have any proof that not eating meat lowers testosterone? www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2374537/pdf/83-6691152a.pdf There’s a link to a study showing vegans having higher testosterone levels than meat eaters. I find it unlikely that Joey is suffering from “low T”

Somehow i have to agree with this guy.
I once asked a friend of mine "If you knew before you were born that you would live a pretty decent life but when you got to the age of 60 you would get cancer and suffer severely from that cancer for 2 years before you die at age 62. Would you still want to be born?"
And he said "Yes, as long as i don't know during my first 60 years I would suffer the last 2 years of my life, i'd prefer to be born."
That makes me wonder whether also those 70 billions of animals would prefer their current life rather than no life at all.
This video started with 2 ad's... the first being for STEAK! I really feel like UA-cam is trolling the vegans here lol
To all fellow vegan Germans out there: there is an animal shelter called Erdlingshof in Bavaria, they're doing a wonderful job in animal right activism and need your support :)
Let's make the world a better place 🌱🌼
Sometimes I feel Joey might be a bit in-your-face in his approach, but considering this is what he is up against, I have absolutely 100% understanding for his approach now. I would have screamed at this bloke defending his way of thinking at least 20 times during that conversation. So hard to get through to him...!
