I will never understand how *anyone* thinks that being confrontational with the police is going to *help* them in *any* way! Even if you think you're in the right, you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.
Trying to get what you want through yelling and intimidation is a bad tactic to begin with, and *only* works if you have power over those you're trying to intimidate. Maybe it works on their kids, but it's *not* going to work on state authorities.
Then the guy has the *nerve* to tell the *cop* (who was doing nothing but ask this detainee to "calm down" while he was yelling at the cops and refusing to ID himself) that *his* "de-escalation skills are horrible." The irony is palpable.

Second, the charge wasn’t for calling the police, it was for calling 911. The cops were already out there, “asking for a supervisor” isn’t an emergency. However, the call they might’ve missed might’ve been a real emergency. The entitlement & the ignorance mixed together was infuriating.
I’ve never been so glad a video was over. I think the last time I was this happy a video was over was the lady who just wants to use the bathroom…..

Dunno Mike, but I learned not to rave injustice / it ain't fair (at home, particularly in public) when just a kid...at least within arms reach of any adult/authority figure. It was a good a good way to get smacked, lose your freedom. Was well in my 30s went to a fam reunion, my Auntie (a Mets fan) took offence at my Yankkee cap, it never left my suitcase through the remainder of the visit. Hike for gas, call for road side service, speed dial a lawyer...no, he expects the cops to give him gas and send him on his way...calls emergency services for "a manager". Sov. and Moors citizens are the ultimate entitled Karens. Not a black man, okay...how about a man with a lick of sense?

He got into a situation one time where he wrecked his car while he was a few hours drive from his consulate. Because of his job, he also had a concealed carry weapon which back then was not common at all. The moment he presented his passport to law enforcement, things got really serious. They took him to the police station and called the state department and his embassy. No charges were filed against him and he was free to go after waiting 23 hours for someone from the State Department and from his embassy to show up and identify him. His embassy was NOT amused.
