Very true and good advice. Being patient. I've watched pairs of boots I've wanted and couldn't justify the price. Watched them slowly go down over a couple months and ended up sniping them. But there's a checks/balance to that. Don't wait on the pair you want for too long...someone else might be waiting and willing to offer a bit more than you want to and you end up losing in the long run after all that wait.
Goto a Sit Called Fat Fingers. And Type in Your Boot Brand. Fat Fingers will run it through ebay with various misspellings. . And this works for any items.
I really, really wanted an Omega Speedmaster Moon Watch. This is the watch worn by the early astronauts, and in fact was worn by the astronauts on the moon missions. A new one was beyond my price range. Used ones were still very pricey. I found mine, with box and papers, on eBay by a seller who used a slight misspelling in the description, so it wasn't showing up in most searches. It was still expensive, but a couple of "hunderd" 😉 bucks less than others in similar (like new) condition. Diligent searching is indeed the way to go. Great video!
You are absolutely correct about patience. I’ve been looking every day for three weeks and finally super lucked out 10 minutes ago on a pair of barely worn black Boulets on EBay for $49.99 with free shipping! Soles appeared as if they had been worn only a few times. I simply used “Boulet boots 11E” in my search. CHA- CHING! Then... I find this video... WHA....?
Hell yeah!! What a good find. Are they model number 9502? I have that Boulet boot. It's a quality make. Should last you a long time. I've had mine for 12 years
@@JeremiahCraig Yes, I believe so. Looking at a photo of the interior shaft, I can make our the last two digits which is “02”. Here’s the URL: www.ebay.com/itm/264908082203. I’m hoping they’re nice. They might need some TLC in the conditioning department maybe. In any case, there’s a 60 day return policy, so no biggie if they turn out to be duds.
Being consistent and persistent is also important. The more often you look the more chances of finding deals. I hear people all the time say they never find deals. Well, how often are you looking? I search almost every day sometimes a couple times a day. I have found some GREAT deals on high-end exotics over the past year or so. Just picked up a pair of Anderson Bean Ostrich in like new condition for my son for $77.00 including shipping. These are $400.00 boots. Also depending on your size, you can look in women's sizes that would fit you. This is the case for my son. He is 12 so it is hard to find quality exotics in his size so I search a woman's size that fits him.
I have found some amazing deals on the goodwill auction store. Got a few pairs of used boots and a brand new pair of Rocky boots ($200 msrp, $48 with shipping and tax). Getting good boots shouldn’t be a debt sentence.
Yesterday an man that we know have me 2 pair of cowboy boots for free one is sage 3033 is still in very good shape Second looks like sage boots with leather outsoles
I think the only way you'll find a good deal on those is if someone doesn't know what they have. So they probably wouldn't post them with the model number. That's a rare well known model now thanks to TWD
I wish I got the chance to watch your video first before rushing to buy my first pair of used cowboy boots at ebay. I just bought a pair of Lucchese lizard cowboy boots for $179.USD. There are obvious scruff marks on the lizard skin. Not only that, the outsoles of the boots appear to be pretty worn and there are serious indentation marks in the insoles. Even after I insert my custom orthotics in the boots, I can still feel the indentation;(-. It is not comfortable at all. I should have been a bit more patient and did more research first. Now I am thinking of having both the insoles and outsoles replaced which is gonna be very expensive or reselling them;(-.
Damn sorry to hear you had a bad experience. You might be better off just reselling them and trying your luck again. That has happened to me before too. I got a pair that looked good online and when they arrived I noticed they were super squeaky when I walked in them. You win some and you lose some. That's the risk of online shopping.
i never thought cowboy boots gonna make me this happy
Thanks for sharing your Knowledge!
great tips Jeremiah Craig!

True it's all the strategy and continuing to keep an eye out for a great deal!

Consistency is so important. It's gotta be a routine. Great find on those ABs. Jeez that's exactly what I'm talking about!

Nicely done ✔

Another way to tell a resolve is that the heel cap will not have the brand name on it.
This is a great way to tell. Not all companies brand their heel caps but many of the big ones do
I hope to stumble across a used exotic snip toe with a leather sole. But I'm also praying Tecovas or Ariat will start to make them.
I would love to see a Tecovas snip toe
@@JeremiahCraig That would be fucking awesome, especially a python, but I'll probably just get a snip toe python from Dan Post.
I keep looking regularly nothing good in my sizes but I still keep looking.
Gotta keep at it!
Are there any boots you could recommend for wide feet with high arches?
Try Boulet or Hondo. Custom will always give you the best fit though. I talk with lots of custom boot makers on this channel too!
Ya I won’t to get lizard skin boot but my feet are too big and I can’t afford a hand made par :(
I still own cowboy boots the Western styles I got a lizard pair and I have an ostrich pair
You search for deals on boots like I do for ammo! Hilarious!
haha that's what I'm talking about!
I just found a pair of nocona 7611's for 25 bucks, barely used.
SIIIICK! That's what I'm talking about!
So far I have been lucky buying western boots
Here's to your continued luck!

How do I get a deal on used Justin 2222’s? I don’t think it’s possible lol

Jeremiah Craig I know, unfortunately. Lol I’ll get a pair soon I just don’t like coughing up $400 for a pair of boots.
👢👍
You giving away all my secrets! JUST STOP! LOL
HAHA! Gotta share the love so more folks get themselves into boots! This is still super niche so I wouldn't worry about it too much
