I recognize that shop!! Great looking build! I’m very interested in the differential setup. I will be strongly considering a retro fit to my live axel set up. Mark is in my neck of the woods. Might have to contact him. Keep the vids coming and keep up the good work.
The renegade frame and front axle look very nice. My name is Paul and California Culver City California. I want to build a race cart such as you have all star help me with information. Thank you.
Yes start at www.cyclekartclub.com then check out the Huntsville Grand Prix web page, we have a lot of really helpful information for new builders there, look for the Get Started link
Ha, yes indeed. We have an Etsy Page with some Tshirts, but the shirt I am wearing is custom made by Ink Pikie. You can probably find them on the web. Nice to meet a distant cousin.
I will have a frame plan available to buy very soon. It will be a 1:1 drawing on a 3'x8' sheet of paper, you will build the frame right on top of the paper, so that everything will line up perfect and fit all the standard components. Subscribe to the channel to get the earliest updates. Thanks
Cycle Kart looks amazing Steve...but here's the rub. Because the rules dictate you must build the kart yourself, many potential racers who don't have the skills, facilities, equipment and knowledge are excluded from this fabulous form of racing. This is a shame. It's a pity that the rules don't allow a builder to construct a fleet of cycle karts that could be leased to drivers that could race in events around the country. We do this in Australia for different forms of racing and it works tremendously well 😐
We call them 'Guidelines' and the guidelines are typically stretched and or ignored. We really encourage folks to build their own but we have never rejected someone because they bought a CycleKart already built. In my experience, when you buy or rent something, when it breaks, you may not know how to fix it or to make it work properly, the way that you do when you build it yourself. Also, when you build it yourself, you have a healthy respect for all the things that might fail if you drive it too hard......this is a built in safety factor or sorts.
Watching this from Poland. I am toying with an idea to build a cycle kart myself. Need to finish some of my other projects first.
You can do it!
That looks like a great start!
Thanks very much, this will be a fun build

Fantastic, thanks for following along
Looking great. I see you are using CAD (cardboard Added Design) to help make templates. LOL
You know it!
Great! Question, is a single aluminium sheet strong enough for the floor?
Yes, absolutely

Mr. Vinson, Is there a rough design sheet for your style of floor? I would like to do something like that when I build, to lower my CG. Thank you!
No not really, every kart is different. We use the kart as a reference to make the floor fit.
I think Dennis said the floorpan is 4.5" off the ground? How far from the bottom of the frame does that hang?
4.5 inches below the frame
you look like retired solomon lane from mission impossible
Thanks
I use #clothingDressers for the #cyclekart & the #soapboxderbycar builds in my lifetime I mean #Thanks
thanks
Hi Steve

You're using CAD, cardboard aided design !
Yes we are very sophisticated like that.
