Thank you. Sketching saves time and material. I can make 10 iterations in one sitting, making decisions in the moment. When I look back at them days, weeks and even months later, they spark some more ideas. I am communicating with my past thinking and recording my present thinking. I put labels and hidden lines to communicate intent as if I would not remember them years later. Just an efficient and effective way of recording thoughts.
I really enjoyed watching this video and the look into your thought process. It makes me want to get back into some leather crafting. Here's a closure idea for your last version - a flip over elastic loop on the bottom right corner.
Thank you for watching. Yes, the elastic loop would be effective, and I never thought of placing that on the lower right. I have 6 different sizes of elastic with me at the moment. Knowing how this material lose elasticity over time (from all the Moleskine notebooks I own), I need to consider some way to easily replace it. Nonetheless, thank you for the suggestion and I’ll likely implement it for the next iteration.
Currently, these are only personal consumption. However, I can accommodate if you are willing to wait until I perfect the design and start making a batch of finished ones. Unfortunately, I have yet to set an online store. For the meantime, I’m transacting via PayPal for those who are buying my wallet pattern.
Thats really cool
I love seeing your sketches and design iterations! Your stuff is crisp and beautiful!
