I actually just got this phone because the service on my s21 was just too high & plus I lost my old job, but it's really not that bad. It runs just as fast as my s21 ultra. It's a little smaller but not by much. The camera is such a downgrade but it's not the worst camera I've ever used on a phone. I really do wish they made the front cameras colors better. I always look so sick or really really pale in the front camera with this device. 😂 But it really is such an amazing phone other than that little nit pick. Amazing video btw! ❤️
Charlee - I agree with everything you said! Btw, sorry about your job. The A32 5G camera is a bit underwhelming when compared to a flagship phone like the S21 but for the price it's pretty impressive. I do hate the color profile from the front camera too. Thanks for the kind words :)

Think I'll probably get the A32 since I like a lot of the camera features it has & it looks pretty dang good! And I love that it has a slow motion feature, that's actually pretty awesome & unique. It does have impressive camera features for the price. The slo-mo video does drop frames though which makes the footage appear jumpy - you can see what I mean at 5:07. I hope this helps you choose the right phone!
@@photoswithphones Yeah I noticed it very subtly with the jumpy/frame drop, but it's not too bad to where it takes away from anything in my opinion, it still looked cool even in the tests you did. Thanks! Definitely thinking more with the A32, especially since it has 5G as well so it'd be a good upgrade that way too.
Thanks for the camera review. I had to upgrade my very old phone to this one, so just researching all the features. Not the DSLR quality I'm used to, but for on the fly snaps or video, not too bad. I just wish it wouldn't apply so much noise reduction and sharpening, most my tests look like paintings.

Don't feel bad. I was using the S5 until a month or so ago and I only got the A32 due to Sprint closing down the network, which is why they sent me the new phone for free. S5 camera was better though.

Good question! You don't use the Depth Camera as an option in the camera app - it really just helps the portrait mode to work better. I hope this helps!!
So I am an ebay seller and had to downgrade to this phone as Sprint moved to 5g. My old Samsung S7 had a great camera for Ebay. This cheap model is killing me. Main problem is gray or bluish background, even though I shoot on white background. I have to mess around with using 'pro', iso '400 and light at +07. To get it to come out with a bright photo and fairly white background. I take mostly close up shots for products and zoom (the macro on this gets blurry). Is there no 'automatic' on this phone? Any ideas for me? I take maybe 180 shots a day, need speed, can't keep adjusting, depending on product. Starting to hate this camera quality.
Sandra - great points! Because of your situation, I definitely understand your frustration. I would recommend looking into a third-party camera app that allows you to set and lock white balance as this should allow you to mitigate the gray/bluish background that you describe. You can also lock focus and exposure in these apps with much more precision than on the native camera app (which coincidentally after using the camera more after making this video, I've come to absolutely hate). Lightroom Mobile CC free version should give you everything that you need. If you don't like that app, then just search on the App Store for pro camera apps that allow for focus, exposure, and white balance control. I hope this helps!

I was here a long time ago to comment, but ever since I have been trying to use the back video camera the last couple days for a better video, it keeps zooming in and out and going out of focus way too much, and it's driving me crazy. Is there anything that you did with the settings or the phone to stop this from happening? Anyone?...SBN SIGMA
I haven't used this phone in awhile, but I would recommend using manual settings for awhile. You can also try a third party camera app to see if that helps.
Yes it is but there's no stabilization so the phone must be mounted on a tripod and left stable to capture usable results. Image stabilization is available in 1080p.

Great questions and I hope my response isn't too late. I did address your question in your other comment too! Megapixels aren't the best criteria for judging a phone. For example, iPhones typically have 12MP cameras and outperform the Galaxy A32 5G 48MP cameras. I would look for a phone within your budget that allows you to lock focus and exposure and has an adjustable portrait mode bokeh. I made a video about the A32 5G and was fairly impressed for the price point but I know that both the Motorola Moto G50 5G and Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G are technically better. If you type in "x phone vs y phone portrait mode" into UA-cam you'll be able to see how all these phones stack up. The decision is really a personal one. I hope this helps!

I bought this for the 48mp camera and was underwhelmed. I'm now learning 48 is actually 12mp I'm so confused. I really like my moto g fast phone but I wanted a better camera.
The 48MP camera is a little difficult to activate. You have to adjust the aspect ratio and then you'll have the option to switch into the 48MP Camera Mode. I hope this helps!

The 4G version of this phone has a lot better camera grade than this one. With a 64 MP main camera and 20 MP front camera resolution.

Is anyway I can adjust skin tone smoother and whiter skin? My Redmin I can hide my wringle.
Should be able to adjust using White Balance when shooting and also adjust skin tone when editing your photos.
