Outstanding all around. Of all Saint-Saens' Cto # 2 available on UA-cam, this is probably the best. Perfection of the interpretation (phrasing, articulation, clarity of sound, variety of colors, lightness of pedal... wow!) well served by an excellent balance of sound recording and smart video editing. Kudos to the RAI technical team: they know what they are doing but more importantly, they understand the music... Thank you, Matteo!

More colorful beautiful piano sound for Saint-Saens Artur Rubinstein and Emil Gilels! More powerful Mikhail Pletnev! More genius than this Grigory Sokolov! Sokolov his rhythmic vitalness is unbeatable! More fire and passion Andrei Gavrilov and Marc Andre Hamelin!!

Ha ha ha! You may be right but Saint‐Saens requires a bit of innocence and freshness, two qualities that are not exactly these seasoned pianists' strongest points in their prime. To take one example, I admire Hamelin immensely but he's almost too smart for this concerto ; all the masters you mention have outstanding performances out there but imho, none have the charm Chamayou brings to this piece. Maybe it's the French touch, maybe Chamayou's interpretation suited my mood perfectly the day I played the video, who knows... 😃

He is one of the best young pianists. He is currently in his fourties’ and I like a lot of what he’s done. Did you listen to some of his recordings?

French repertoire and musicians are so overlooked and very underestimated in US.

In all my years of watching and listening to this concerto, I've never heard crispier notes. And everything's on time. Not to mention the intensity. It's beyond perfect.

Beautiful example of the silvery precise French style at the service of one of the great pieces in the French piano repertoire. So fluid!

Bertrand Chamayou un pianista musicalmente y técnicamente exquisito. Maravillosas interpretaciones del concierto de Saint-Saëns al igual que los encores.

One of my favorite concert pianist. Precise, elegant, technically phenomenal, and a superbly poetic interpreter. Check him playing Saint Sean Concert n.5 in Buenos Aires: breathtaking!!!
