I really wish more slasher movies had something like this. I love the feeling of there being a local folk song about the legend of Harry Warden. It feels like something that could be made in a small town like Valentines Bluff which makes it way creepier. He's like a boogeyman that keeps returning to haunt the town, never letting them forget what happened to him that horrific night in the mines. I could imagine kids at sleepovers and campfires telling his story to scare each other.
yeah, I agree. The song is totally fitting for it. I am surprised none of the other slasher horror flicks didn't do this. But I guess this is what makes this unique.
Well... Harry's story is almost the same as Michael Myers, (who came before), but with thar Plot Twist at the end I can understand why he's more remembered than he would be if Harry was just the same and generic villain that never dies.
We watch this every Valentine’s Day! ❤ The soundtrack was awesome and everything was just perfectly put together in this movie. The cast , the location, the plot. What a classic indeed!❤
Friday the 13th 6 Jason Lives Alice Cooper: He's Back the man behind the mask A Nightmare On Elm Street 3 Dream Warriors Dokken: Dream Warriors Madman Mars 1981 Soundtrack
Love this movie and song. Watch it every Valentine's Day! Can't beat the original, it's one of the best slasher movies ever! The new blu-ray from Scream Factory is fantastic!
Anyone noticed that in the movie, Valentine's Day fell on a Saturday? Which meant it was the day after Friday the 13th. Harry Warden and Jason Voorhees should've clashed that weekend. Maybe a crossover between the two should happen.
I wonder if there'll be a my bloody valentine prequel where we see more of harry warden's backstory and maybe some stuff that'll make him a sympathetic villain like why he only returns to kill on valentine's day but not just him wanting revenge on the guys that got him trapped in the mines but maybe also a tragic love story between him and a woman
That'd be really neat! it'd be awesome to find out more about Harry Warden and the irresponsible selfish guys that left him and the others in the mind before making sure things were safe. And then from there, to have the prequel lead to a satisfying climax, have it also go through the very first night that Harry Warden came back to town.
I've been thinking about that as well. From working in the mines in his 20's, to the fateful 1960 incident, to avenging his coworkers, and up to his death at 45 in 1975 from black lung. And by funny coincidence, I look like what a young Harold Warden would look like. 😆
I`m gonna say it`s pretty obvious what the horror is. I mean, there`s a big dark guy looming over the viewer wearing a mask and coveralls holding a pickaxe...
They should make a prequel to this. Make it the first year this took place. But make it just like this one. But obviously the towns people not know who committed the acts.
In a fanfic I found when surfing Wattpad once, when Jason Voorhees and Carrie White are going on a road trip for their wedding anniversary, and they visit Valentine Bluffs, and they meet and befriend the Miner, and he helps Jason and Carrie have fun by terrorizing the Valentine's dance with him, which Carrie loves especially ❤ ♥, because it helps her get over the trauma of The Black Prom, and what's especially ironic is that Jason listens to Footloose when killing, and he says "you know, after this, Valentine Bluffs may become the town from Footloose!"
Apparently the majority of the songs on the soundtrack were never commercially released, to include this song. Just finished watching this movie, and couldn’t find the song anywhere, now I know why. Anyways, Happy Valentine’s Day, and beware of Harry Warden.

Harry warden is also my new favorite slasher villain next to the original Ghost face. I like killers that seem more plausible

Wouldn't it be cool if every slasher villain got their own theme song?

Harry isn’t immortal like Jason
I would've put the Part 2 Jason (sackhead version) against Axel. The ghosts of Pamela Voorhees and Harry Warden guiding these killers.

Harry Warden is one of my favorite Slashers . Kinda a bummer we didn't get more of him.

Great song. It never actually said what the horror was. I guess you would just have to watch the movie to find out.

Was also kind of a ghost story. Even without out the film; it can be an anniversary of a ghost haunting a dying mining town.

We feel that would dilute the weight of the first. The reboot came, and it did just that.

If Jason is the hero of Friday the 13th, so Harry Warden (The Miner) is the hero of Valentine's Day.
