    Lyrics:
    Fallen angels into the street
    It's an empty dance
    And so incomplete
The hallow voices which spread a cry
    For the devil's night
    There's a reason why
You tried before, but you can't buy a clue
    No matter what you do
The darkest side of the night
    Burns like a fire
    For the wasted lives
And there's no way you can fight, just show some respect, and try to survive!
    On the darkest side!
Neon shadows that point the way, never lead you out, it's a game they play
The madness comes and the madness goes
    It's a simple world
    But it's all they know
You try to fix it but theres nothing you can do
You just gotta see it through
The darkest side of the night
    Burns like a fire
    For the wasted lives
And there's no way you can fight, just show some respect, and try to survive!
    On the darkest side!
In this city, you give and they take
You reach the limit, you bend, and then you break
    And there's no escape!
    Theres no escape!
    NO!
The darkest side of the night
    Burns like a fire
    For the wasted lives
And there's no way you can fight, just show some respect, and try to survive!
    On the darkest side!
The darkest side of the night
    Burns like a fire
    For the wasted lives
And there's no way you can fight, just show some respect, and try to survive!
    On the darkest side!

Then the new wave of businesses took over and replaced the old ones that were considered "sleazy." That all happened in the 1990's and it continues perhaps even today. ExplorerDS6789 That's true. I saw an interview with director Rob Hedden and he said that since he was on a limited budget the amount of scenes actually shot in New York City had to be drastically reduced. The scenes in the alley and on the street were shot in Vancouver, I think only the part where Jason chases the main characters through Times Square was actually shot in NYC.

Jason takes Manhattan is a guilty pleasure for me. I watched this one the most as a kid. My dad and i would laugh our heads off when the boxer kid fights Jason on the roof top and gets his head knocked off with one punch. For fans, this movie might be considered the worst movie in the franchise but for me its a favorite.

@@gamemusicgems8721 yes! I agree completely! The boxer fight is still one of the best kills in the whole series

Part 8 is my favorite in the series. The vibes of the city in Part 8 reminded me so much of the first TMNT movie and Gotham City from the Burton Batmans, which is why I think this movie clicked so well with me as a kid. First saw this movie thanks to TNT MonsterVision with Joe Bob Briggs
