You now have one hell of an e-bike, I am now fast approaching 6000 kms and have had trouble free riding. I have now started a new channel called bike Universe and this is where I now post all my e-bike videos you may want to have a look as there are more videos about the Scott there. Here is the link www.youtube.com/@EBikeUniverse-ce
This is my second time watching your content from Scotland and the weather makes me so jealous. I am seriously thinking on buying that bike as an ex hire bike from near where I grew up as I know it will be maintained over the summer months and I will be getting a healthy discount on the full price. I have liked and subscribed and look forward to your future content.
Hi John, thank you for your comments and subscribing. It's funny about the weather, I have visited Scotland during the winter and loved every minute as it is such a contrast to what we generally get here. Regarding the bike, you will not regret it, once you have experienced a high quality full suspension e-bike there is no going back. I ride this thing every where and as you stated in your second comment it is comfortable and a joy to ride and to me what makes it perfect in that you don't have to stop and think should I ride it here, I as yet have not found anything it can't do. The truth is I back off before the bike does. Cliff
Congratulations on your purchase, you won't regret it. You just made my day for me, I love the fact these videos help other people, Keep in touch. Cliff.
Very nice bike. I'd class it as the Toyota Land Cruiser. I've just bought myself a Trek Allant+ 7... more like a Subaru all wheel drive. But, still, in my late 60's, having a lot of fun with it. Look forward to seeing more of your videos.
Hi again Tekonug, as you have discovered I have been on a journey to find the perfect e-bike for me and with the Scott I have found it, and yes I would agree it is the land cruiser of e-bikes. I had a look at your new bike, its a great machine. Like Scott Trek make very good quality bikes and yours is no slouch, I see it uses the same Bosch system as on mine even down to the same controller, you won't be disappointed and will get many years use out of it. The one thing I have learnt on my e-bike journey is paying for quality is the way to go. Even though I do not regret getting the Volition I realise now the Bafang system is not a match for the Bosch system. Keep in touch. Cliff
I meant to say in my comment a bike salesman used the analogy you can buy a Land Rover Discovery Sport and it will take you over trails etc probably more capability than you will ever need or you can buy the new Defender that will take you places that would be past the point of the drivers nerve but it will do it in comfort and style. I just like the look of the Defender so I will be buying the full suspension emtb for the same reason.
I’m glad you like the tyres. That was my only hesitation when looking at the bike when you first got it, that they were too chunky. But given you do a lot of trail riding they would be good. For someone who lives on the Barwon river near all the sealed bike baths, I would probably go for fast rolling tyres.
Hi Adam, yes if all I was going to do was ride on sealed paths I would agree different tyres would be required. But as you pointed out due to the type of terrain I ride on the tyres I am using now are perfect. Love my bike.
Got this bike second hand last week. Your review is right. The bike is fantastic! Thanks Cliffy!
