    As a Scott Rider.... the Twin Lock is just brillant!

    These video reviews really are some of the very best available. Thanks so much for your honesty and thoroughness!
    I understand Scott have ditched the Twin Lock for the 2021 Ransom, thank the Lord.

    Good review agree
    I got one and did the following
    Got rid of twin lockout
    Replaced brakes with code and converted to all electric shifting and dropper with controls where u would expect them
    My only complaint is that as u mentioned the range extender battery is not a practical option on my medium frame :(

    Good review! You really live in sloppy terrain... looks super slick, so you have to have pretty good set of skills!

    Great review as usual. Here is another example of having 2 500Wh batteries instead of a rage extender that would only fit in the Large bikes 🙄

    The bike looks great but the cockpit has too many wires, doesn't it?

    Hey. Just gotten this bike. Would love to see in more detail how you did your cable management - I've tried mine but it's still a mess. Yours look much cleaner.

    • @EMTBVideos
      @EMTBVideos  Рік тому +1

      This was a demo bike, so I wasn't involved in setting it up. But I guess it's down to cutting the cables to the right length and wrapping them together in that plastic band thing.

    Can the battery be charged while on the bike? Where is the charging port?

  • @Adam-vm8kp

    I imagine this bike has the Scott fork lock headset thing where the lower cup has a metal block pressed in with the bearing and it’s an abnormally deep cup so what a nightmare to remove bearings. I love the Scott e-bikes but their entire headset game at the minute is horrible imo.

    Hello, very nice review!
    May i ask you how tall your are and what is your standover height (inseam length) from the legs (measured from the crotch to the ground with barefeet)?
    I ask because you look like having long legs and only having frame size "M".
    I´m close to buy this nice bike online and have no clue if size "L" maybe is ab bit to large for me due to my short inseam length of 81cm.
    Scott calculator says lower end of size "M".
    You could really help me with this information!
    Thx so far

    • @EMTBVideos
      @EMTBVideos  2 роки тому +1

      Hi and thanks! I'm 181 cm tall with about 76 cm inseam. Fredrik is a few cm taller. We haven't ridden the size L, so we can't say which is better for us. But we were both happy with size M. The fairly long chainstays makes for a generous wheelbase and a stable bike. In these cases we often prefer size M, it can be a good mix of stability and playfulness. And we usually prefer having the saddle a bit low when fully extended, that's not always possible with size L. But it depends on personal preference, terrain and riding style. Both sizes are probably fine for us.

      Thank you very much for this pretty fast information!
      This opens a new view to me and i´m thinking about size "M" too now.
      Kind regards

    can you talk some about the motor and battery performance please?

    • @EMTBVideos
      @EMTBVideos  2 роки тому

      Check out our review of the motor: ua-cam.com/video/fz6tOtQ0kQY/v-deo.html
      We haven't done a proper test of the battery. But our impression of both the Shimano and Bosch 625/630 Wh batteries are that they are solid and well built, and they seem a tad more efficient than the 500Wh batteries.

      @@joski9030 I'm very very happy with it. I find it really plush to ride and it handles everything I throw at it easily. That being said, I haven't ridden a lot of other e bikes to compare. I'd reccomend buying one if sitting on the fence

    Hi can u tell me how tall are u riding the M size i am 177cm and i cant decide if to go for L or do i need M size here

    • @EMTBVideos
      @EMTBVideos  2 роки тому

      I'm 181 and I thought the M was fine. I've never ridden the L, so I don't know if I'd prefer that one. I tend to prefer a smaller size if the chainstay length is long. To avoid having an extremely long wheelbase. Even if I pick the smaller size, these bikes are so stable. So, I might as well size down to have a more playful bike. But, it depens on what you prefer. I guess Large will work too, unless the seatpost ends up being too long.
