Hi my name is Cliff Elliott and The CLens Media channel is where I will regularly put up video stories covering a broad range of subjects. Including Cameras, Computers, Microphones, E-Bikes, Vintage enduro motor bikes and many more. I like telling stories so I will be covering anything that takes my interest. For clarity I also want you to know any music used in videos on this channel will be sourced from my Smart Sound collection (www.smartsound.com) for which I have purchased a license. Also all images are either recorded by me or are from my Sutterstock collection that I have purchased.
An Interview With My Friend Alex
Remember Alex, I did a brief interview with him back in episode 162. Alex now lives in Western Australia and was visiting Victoria recently so I took the opportunity to do a second interview with him where we discuss how we met, his journey so far and how his life I going now.

Ryobi Lopper The Perfect Mulcher Companion
I finished listening to the first two Frontiers Saga books through Audible; and they were awesome. Can't wait to listen to more. 🙂😁 In the meanwhile, I'm also listening to the Expeditionary Force series by Craig Alanson. Definitely worth a listen or read. 🙂🙂
You have just started a journey you will not be able to stop, I am up two book 13 in series 3 that means it is the 40th book, and Ryk Brown the author intends to make it a 75 book series. And believe me when I say this the stories and the characters never get stale. This should be picked up by a streaming service as it is the most entertaining set of books i have read in many a year.
I wonder how the aluminum plate can sharpen a hardened steel blade.
This has been such a help! Thank you :)
Thanks for the feedback I love it when i find one of my videos help people.
Very good mate.....I bought one of these units and its been great...Lent it to my next door neighbour....I paid $399 5 years ago now they want $500.!
The drawers were installed incorrectly as I did. The drawers are about 2 cm above a board thickness. If you look under the bottom drawer, you will see that it is above. How do we solve this situation??
Take the draws off at the front and change holes in the front draw attachment assembly shown at 5:05
For those wonderful how this goes with handling palm leaves. It is bloody fantastic at breaking them down.
Thank
Nice on Cliff, I've been so old school on my old slides, this is much better
Hi Michael this really is the way to go I am ripping through the slides
exactly the same problem on mine..same locker...did it worked with Loctite?..just before seeing this video I ordered it
Sorry I missed this comment, the loctite held up well but I eventually used a torque wrench to tighten it up to the recommended setting and have never had a problem since. I have now put over 6000 Kls on this bike and still love it.
@@clensmedia6514do you remember what torque?
What is the best range u get ?
I’d need an iPad Pro to see it!!

Glad you found the video useful, that was the reason I put it up.
Great Bita kit mate aye
hansa c7 is so much better ryobi is cheap crap
What a useless comment. Of course something that costs 3500 is gonna work better than something that costs 500. Thanks, captain obvious.
Those need a top hopper.
Thank you!
shotgun... 😁
Hi there , Just wandering is there any bike shops in Victoria that sell Volition Emtbs please ? Indigo
Sorry I am not aware of any, I will check with them and let you know but I feel they are Sydney based. What are you looking for?
Thanks for reply, the model I was looking for is called Volition Max Performance M620, but yes it seems that Bondi Junction or some others shops around Sydney are the only dealers , just trying to find a dealer in Melbourne. Thanks
This basket is nice and useful. Unfortunately, i don't dare leave my bike locked at the supermarket 😅 . Thieves will just come with an electric cutter and make away with it
I stopped putting my hands in there even though the blades are far, I had a incident where a branch in there turned around real fast and caught my fingers and pulled my glove down, very glad I was wearing gloves it hurt could have been worse 👌
Hey thanks for the videp - apologize if you have done this and I haven't found it but have you tried using it on those long strips of bark that gum trees shed? I put some in my old Morrison crusher shredder and they just went straight through unchanged 😂
No unfortunately I haven’t tried that, I may have to try that.
You could try adjusting the blades in the Morrison I've had the same problems I just change the blade distance for different materials 👌 good luck
Oh dear, yet another mulcher video made by someone who doesn't understand that it's no good pushing branches through it. This type PULLS them through!! use the time to pick up another and insert it into the machine not wait until it's gone through!
Without getting into a flaming war but some people can’t help themselves, I totally understand the concept of how this Mulcher works and as a person who has spent 40 odd years working in heavy engineering I have a pretty good handle on the physics involved but what Jonathan has assumed by watching my video and what in practice was happening is in polar opposites. Guess what sometimes even a pulling mechanism requires a little bit of assistance to get going. I will leave it at that. Thanks for your comment.
Should the blade be cleaned after use ? If so how do you do a simple maintance clean ? Is the blade area waterproof ? can it be hosed out ???
Got this bike second hand last week. Your review is right. The bike is fantastic! Thanks Cliffy!
You now have one hell of an e-bike, I am now fast approaching 6000 kms and have had trouble free riding. I have now started a new channel called bike Universe and this is where I now post all my e-bike videos you may want to have a look as there are more videos about the Scott there. Here is the link www.youtube.com/@EBikeUniverse-ce
I have had the privilege to have rowed with Don in the Banks Senior Eight over the last 17 years. During this time Don helped me improve my technique. To me, he is more than a crew member he is a friend on and off the water. I am fortunate to know him and I have greatly benefited from his coaching. Thank you, Don, I'll see you on the water.
Thank you for commenting and sharing your experience of knowing this amazing man, when his daughter Ros told me her father was still rowing at 95 I realised his story should be told. I am hoping to do a sequel to this with a longer more casual interview of Don in the near future.
When I went to remove the blades the spindle (I think that’s what it’s called) came out at the same time…now I can’t get it back in…sigh…why does everything have to be so hard…any ideas on how i can get the spindle back in so I can get the blades back on?
Sorry to hear you had this happen to you, I must admit I did not explore much further than the blade hub you may have to contact Ryobi for support with this. Just in case I will have a look at mine tomorrow but can’t promise I will have the answer.
@@clensmedia6514 thanks for responding, I'll keep working at it :< contacting Ryobi is a good idea, so I'll give that a go later if I don't have any success. The shaft just came away with the blades, so there must be a solution to getting it back in. Thanks again :-))
It should go in easily. You might need to rotate it as you push it in to engage the square fitting that holds it. Probably easier with the blade off, but be careful not to lose the key that sits in the spindle to lock the blade.
@@davidcottee2808 Thanks! After three days of trying, one of the guys from Bunnings looked at a photo I’d sent in and suggested that the gears may have slipped and it was then that I saw that where the spindle locked onto could be moved a fraction which would allow the squared off part of the spindle to enter. It must have dropped down a bit somehow :/ So I tipped the motor upside down…no luck … then on its side, the spindle slotted right in no worries…what a relief!!! Good tip about the key and I was making sure not to lose it and put it back on the spindle before replacing the blades :)) thanks again for responding 👍
You never tested the Pannier bags on the rack, and you only rode for a few minutes. Not much of a road test, was it?
Yes I agree I had a few issues on the day which meant I had to cut the recording short. I hind site I should have not posted that video until I had re done it. But I can report the pannier rack and bag have been a total success over the last couple of years. Thanks for commenting.
This is impressive. I recently got a pocket 3 and I’ve been using it for all my corporate interviews. I recently used it for wide shots at a corporate award event.
I also used the Pocket 3 at a corporate event last week and was able to cover the event with small grabs of individuals like never before, loving this camera. Thanks for your comment.
Great idea!
Looks insane and amazing at the same time, though it needs a power solution for the whole thing and that could be tricky with so many devices.
Actually not, the DJI P3 with battery handle will give me about 3 hours recording time and the batteries in the Zoom F5 when using lithium batteries will last for at least four hours and the GoPro light on low setting also lasts for about three hours.
@@clensmedia6514 that's pretty good actually, I thought it would be closer to the 2h mark on the camera.
It's interesting, I was at a corporate event yesterday and used the pocket 3 for close to 4 hours and was near to depleting the on board battery but did not have to use the battery handle. Now admittedly this was not continuous recording but the camera was recording short grabs every few minutes, I was quite impressed.
True one man show, perfect!
Nice video, you are right technology is doing what it should do and making it easy and affordable.
Thanks for the comment, I have always believed technology would eventually give us this type of camera.
Thats amazing Cliff!!!
I Know, I can’t believe the technology available now especially at such low prices.
Love your tutorials / chats
Thank you for your kind comment.
Good review...Thanks! I just got my pocket 3
You will love it, I can’t stop finding uses for it.
great camera, thanks Mate.
Appreciate you doing this review. I’ve just picked one up on the basis of your review for a bit of a bargain and am looking forward to putting it together and using it to transport my bikes.
You wont be disappointed, I have had mine for close to two years now and it has never let me down, I love it. Hope you have the same experience that I have had. Thanks for watching. By the way I now have another UA-cam Channel called EBike Universe and I have done another video about this bike rack if you’re interested.
Ahhhhhh! Finally. This was driving me mad, even the guys at IKEA didn’t explain this adequately. Thank you!
This is why I made this video so it pleases me that it helped you.
Is it waterproof? (Ie whats gonna happen if i leave it out in the rain)
I would suggest it’s not a good idea, the electric motor could be damaged.
Great little videos, thanks! Little question - do you like how small the end product is? Have you ever tried re-processing the mulch to get it smaller? Thanks!
I actually like the size of the mulch that comes out of it and so have not tried that. Something I may consider next time I fire it up. I am glad younlike the videos.
Thanks was considering one of these so was good to see the install
This has been one of the best purchases I have made, it is so easy to put on and off, it is strong and sturdy and carries my bike with ease. Have had it now for nearly two years and am loving it.
I am going to try amazing goop automotive glue.
Thanks

I find that I like Luminar AI on my Mac because it has the templates I am able to use for different processing looks, so it is doing a bit more than the ML option in Pixelmator photo does. (though I am really intrigued by Pixelmator and all the control as well as ease of use that it has). I also like the other elements that Luminar AI has- such as the composition AI, the different effects that can be used, etc. I wish this app or another would have just a bit more of that element that I am able to use in Luminar AI.
I'm just wondering how much this test bike costs
Hi unfortunately this model is no longer available but Volition have a number of newer models check out the Dingo at volitionebike.com/product-category/electric-bicycles/
The camera view in the box is a great touch. 👍
Glad you liked it.
