Lol anyone else have a non Msport 3 series who just likes to see these types of videos even though u dont have the money for the upgrades..
Gilbert Diaz Yessss 😞
Yup
1 year ago I was about to pull the trigger on a 2013 non msport non lci base of the base 3 series. 5 months ago I got my 2016 lci msport 328 :D
Random41 check ur facts again bro, I have a 2016 328i m sport with lci face lift
@@bimmer.sh0ts aiming to get a 2017 330 on Wednesday, wish me luck boys
I came from a honda my self
and bought an 328i myself on Christmas eve
I’m in love with that grey!!! Looks soo clean on the F30
I agree 100% with you. I also bought a 2012 brand new 328i and wish I got the m-sport and manual off the start.
Just bought my f30 a month ago! Should’ve waited and gotten a M sport like you said lmao
I 100% agree with you. I came from honda as well and didnt know about bmw but did my research and found fully spec'd out m sport, tech package etc. For cheaper than what other non m sport ones were offered at. Do your research and wait til you find the right car. The seats and steering wheel alone on a m sport make the car entirely different. Add in the suspension and body kit and it's a no brainer
I got a M sport 435i alpine white with red interior. 29k with 31k miles and no accidents or damage reported. On top of that it looks just like an m4 from the front. I did wrap my roof satin black and replaced my OEM mirrors with carbon mirrors as well with a rear black back lip spoiler. I also just put the remus exhaust catback, Bootmod3 tune, and the intake and this thing sounds and performs like a beast :) Truly happy with this car and the value I picked it up for. Used m4s are still going for around 45k with decent mileage but again you are going to face a lot of maintenance cost versus the 435i, and plus the mods you can do with n55 is crazy. Some people even claim it sounds way better than the m4 with an exhaust and can up to 400 Wheel Horse Power with the BM3 Stage 2 tune. Still waiting to do get the downpipe, Intercooler, and chargepipe to do Stage 2 though.
Good channel. My car journey is similar to yours. Have a Honda Accord V6/six speed, Civic Si, and an S2000. Made some mistakes when I purchased my 2011 335iS. I have a 2017 340i. I went with the 340i, non-M sport because I wanted Mediterranean blue metallic with the saddle brown interior. Loaded with every possible option except heated seats. I think someone custom built the car and then never picked it up because of the mistake. I personally did not care. The car was the perfect car and had the track pack (bigger M brakes, M steering, and M dynamic suspension.) I added the M LSD and the MPPSK. Love it. Good luck with the car.
When I bought my f30, my check list was
1) angel eyes (no halogens!)
2) larger iDrive screen
3) Bluetooth music
4) reverse camera
Looking back I would definitely have put m sport kit on the list. Just added the front bumper and m sport steering wheel... That was not cheap!
I totally agree that modding the car itself and adding all the m sport parts is fun and I love doing it. I just ordered sequential blinkers from your video, only because it's blacked out lol. Can't wait for you to install your LCI tails, I did mine a couple months ago and love them! Keep up the good work!
You are completely right, I am looking to get an F30 BMW, from a Toyota Corolla and the top priority is an M sport pack, the Harmon/Kardon system with the bigger media screen and it has to be either a 328i or 330d. Absolutely no compromise, with the 330d being top of the list, with the power, the fuel efficiency and being 6 cyl. It is a badass
I have a ‘13 328i and agree with you. I was desperate to get out of my ‘05 S2K and impulse bought the bimmer. My main gripes are: no manual, no m-sport, no backup camera, no hid/angel eyes (I installed aftermarket), crappy sounding stock exhaust. At least it has navi and comfort access. It’s still under CPO warranty/maintenance so I’m just waiting until I find an F80.
Love the car, agree with all your option comments. For me, I also find them very common and I wanted something a little bit different. I was lucky enough to find a one off F31 in Grigio Medio (Ferrari Grey) and full extended opal white merino interior. Highly recommend the extended leather and pale contrast colours on the interior, they really lift it and make it a special place to be.
Don’t personally agree about the manual. The 8 speed is SO good for anyone who’s car has to fulfil multiple roles (eg family, luxury, sport) I feel it’s the best compromise.
I'm with you on all of these things. I looked for a year and a half for a manual with M-sport 1 or M-sport 1&2 and to no avail. Finally splurged for a manual with M-sport 1 package from the factory and haven't looked back. Also I think the steering feel was improved after 2015 - less vague but it's still not great.
I'd add in consideration of the inline 6. Bumping the trim up for the larger engine comes with many of the options on the list standard. Also, RWD unless you're CERTAIN you need AWD. Lastly, if you're getting a late model f30 make a consideration for Apple Car Play - 2017+
Thanks for showing the sequentials during the day! Great vid content and quality. Keep it up!
I’m ok with the base F30 and tuning it to my taste. It’s true if you wanted the M Sport you should have searched. I’m coming from being a BMW enthusiast since mid 80’s owning E21,E30, E32, And F30. Enjoy the trip to modding your car.
thank you great perspective regarding the F30 i just bought on Feb
Makes me feel great about my car! 😍I got a car for college graduation.I have the m performance package, everything is m ; breaks wheels, leather m headed wheel, m mats, carbon fiber review mirrors and spoiler and exhaust pipes, Harmon K sound system, heated front and rear seats, red interior, heads up display, back up cam, back window shades and rear automatic shader, honestly that’s all I know. I try to be a bmw enthusiast but there’s so much to still learn!
Sounds like you’ve got a solid start! 🤘🏽
‘Got a car for graduation’
As a European this is one of the most American things Ive ever heard
Christian Takkebos haha yes it is!
100% agreed, so glad I found an msport. There are still a few things i wish i had that my car didn't come with. video on that coming soon lol.
I 100% agree with you that an M Sport is really the only way to go, because the cost and effort to make your car look like an M Sport is really to much for most of us. I have very well equipped 2014 328D M Sport and the first thing that made me want the M Sport over the normal F30 was the steering wheel. As far as auto versus manual, I have had lots of Manual equipped cars and trucks and so I am basically over that now. Now on to the front end, my car was severely scrapped on the front lip after making contact with the roadway on a bad section of I 205 in Alameda County. Estimate to repair was $1950.00. I filed a claim with Cal Trans of California and they actually did pay to repair my front end. I am curious as to how much you paid for the M Sport Front end? Like you when I was looking for an F30, I really didn't know a lot about the options etc, I just really like the M Sport look. Lastly the stock speakers in my car really sucked, so bought the BAVSOUND System Speakers and have been totally happy with my decision.
Hello,I just bought an f30 320d Msport in silver from a salvage its been in a crash and im in the process of repairing it.The car is a 2014 and looks like your f30 but with out the M performance details ect,As its just a standard Msport at the moment.Seeing your vehicle I know how to make my car look now.As the silver with black detailing looks amazing.Man the parts for these car are expensive and hard to get your hands on.
Anyway I love the look of your f30 and hope my f30 looks as nice as yours when its completed.
So when I purchased mine, it was by a fluke. I used to own a E90 335i. And I had coded it to my liking. I was in Lynnwood Washington with my wife while she was buying a Durango and I has seen the F30, covered in mud and all dirty. Hadn't been on the lot for a day. I saw it, test drive it and left the lot in a new car! Lol! It is fully loaded too! I'm happy! I miss my e90 though!
So on idle it really does sound like a diesel, i thought mind had something wrong with the timing chain! I'm relieved!
Picked up my 328 with heads up display, rear backup camera, Harman Kardon sound system, but it’s a sulev. The heads up display is the best I wish I had comfort access though and would have gotten an
m sport
Hey I've got a 2013 as well. It's a sport line, red on black. Mine lacks the m-sport package as well, but I plan to rectify that with some new shocks and springs.
Lol i came from a 9th gen civic si too. ill agree with that backup camera thing 😩 & the side camera assist was kinda nice. Theres days i miss it, but i love my f30. I have a 14’ 328i with msport package & 6speed, also silver... paid $1100 to get it shipped from north carolina... how ironic lol. Dope videos keep it up 💪🏽
Coming from a 13 f30 328i M,S RR to a f30 340i M,S XD
1. Adaptive suspension.
2. Heads up display.
3.130 mph limiter been taked off from the factory.
4. rear wheel drive was more enjoyable to drive then x drive, it's lower, feels lighter.
5 . Get the interior color you always wanted
Thanks for the videos . Really enjoy all of them.👍🏎🤓🎄
That's why I got a pre-owned MSport 340i. Comes standard with electric front seats, pro sat nav, HK sound system, LED headlights, reverse camera and extended contents display. My one also has the heads up display, comfort access and extended light package as optional extras. Only thing I'm really missing are the heated seats which I had on my previous 335i and 330i which were both a mixture of exclusive and sport packs. Still planning to do the MPPSK upgrade which will include software, MSport brakes, M Performance exhaust and and M Performance air filter.
i got me a 328i 2015 silver sports package and love it! awesome car!
I am also in the same boat :) Recently I bought my first BMW I just searched for one low KM car after buying and doing some research I felt I should go with the Msports one
Long time viewer, but just subscribed so sorry about that. Anyway, just purchased a '16 340i and I am in love. Left behind my 08 e90 328i, but the ear to ear grin with the F30 is par-none. I hit every point you mentioned here and I'm glad. And yes, the LCI headlights are drop dead gorgeous lol
Agreed on the manual but good luck finding one.
They are rare!
such a chill channel, very underrated and glad to see you growing man can see you have a passion and its really cool to see. take it easy and hope the stream goes well ill be sure to pop in! notifications (on) :)
Shane Rush thank you man I really appreciate that 🤘🏽
Congrats on 1k
i fully agree with everything you said.
speaking about 335, when you get one, they will tell you, why didn't you buy the m3. lol
Lol. I’ve got a little something up my sleeve. 😉
@@ThicWhips I love watching ur daily m2 pulls ❤️
Word. Agree with all the facts!
Just found ur UA-cam and I wanted to say how much do you drive I drive this daily as well and bought my 2014 328i at 26k and thru this year I’m at 50k with lil to no issues.
Wish my 15 had anything other then stock Halogen lights! I’ll be changing headlights soon enough!
Btw you can configure aerodynamic kit without M steering wheel and M brakes. So if youre just into the way your car looks outside, its not necessarily expensive.
The backup camera is key. I also have a 2013 328i and mine doesn't have one either. I'm seriously considering getting an aftermarket one.
Harman “Grant” Kardon - you kill me bro!
Just playing - great vlog
Literally every part of this video is onpoint. Couldnt agree more with all facts stated.
👌🏽
Should i buy out my 2017 340xi m sport or lease a new g20 330i. Having trouble figuring out if the 340 reliability would become an issue during ownership
hell ya! i got all these 5 in my F30 😎
Number 1: Save up extra and get a 335i :)
If you have to save up you can’t afford the maintenance.
@@Magicstockton why not?
@@Motorsports_3 because Magic lives in the US and lets the BMW dealer do maintenance.
Or a 340i
Will stick with my 335d with 420bhp and 754Nm torque and 45 mpg. Its sex on wheels
Nice video I have a 2011 335 and looking at 340s
Herakles do it
I agree the LCI is better, but I like how Pre-LCI doesn't have foglights. I also had a hard time finding the M-Sport with all the features, and 19" wheels in manual. Overall, I'm happy with the ZF8 transmission. My only regret is getting it in Black Sapphire Metallic. I didn't want Estoril Blue, and I didn't want Aspen White. Would've have been cool to find a BMW Individual color, like Tanzanite Blue.
The M-sport brakes are actually separate, they are the colored ones without the drilled/slotted rotors. Those gray 4-pot calipers are a 335i feature on the pre-lci F30s. A 328i M-Sport wouldn't have had those 4 pots
Nicholas Smith good call. 👌🏽
The only things my F30 doesn’t have:
1) Harman Kardon system
2) MSport brakes
Other than that it has just about all the bells and whistles.
I have a 328 m sport with the 4 piston brakes pre lci
@@mexicangamer4 Are they the blue/yellow/red/orange ones? Cause those are an option, but the 4 pot grey ones and 1 pot rear grey ones weren't
@@NicholasMSmiff they are grey
You're right, 6mt is a must. These cars are too sophisticated for me with the auto - both looks and driving. Throw in rowing your own gears with RWD and it's a very special vehicle.
OMG same thing here 2014 F30 no Backup camera couldn't believe that was optional. I have the bigger screen Nav and the speaker package you were talking about along with heated steering.....Head lights are lame cannot wait to change them... My 2010 Altima SR has a backup camera and Zenon head lights... Seeing this video now I will know sorta what mine will look like with black rims.
Agreed!! Man 1k coming soon🔥🔥🔥
Slowspeed thanks bro, hope your car gets back up and running soon! 🙏🏽
Another great video.i was lucky to find a 6 speed manual
Damn I guess I didn’t do too bad buying my first BMW. I came from the Honda world too and had no idea about bmw’s. I ended up buying a 2015 335i in glacier silver with coral red interior, 6 speed manual trans and msport package. Previous owner also added carbon fiber wing but no other mods
Have the manual m-sport, 335i, 2013; cold weather package. Has parking sensors, but miss the back up camera.
Its not a Mercedes sprinter or VW crafter my man.
Perfect car
Another great video! Keep up the great work man.
Thanks man
Great video, I love F30's. I got a 328i w/ a f80 conversion bumper 6MT
Side note: The way you keep looking at the camera while driving makes me uncomfortable :/
My front bumper is so pitted with rock chips and my clear coat is starting to peal a bit on the driver side :/ ah well I need a ceramic coat real bad! Also I totally agree on the backup camera...
Thanks for the tips
I totally Agree with you!👍
I bought a 2013 335i w m sport kit for 18,000 only 69k miles, ran like a dream and made me the happiest 18 year old. I ended up selling it for 21,000, and am very excited to get an M4!
In Austria and Germany BMW offers a kit to retrofit the reverse camera. Maybe you can order that in the US?
Good vid bro... Only thing I would have liked to have know about was pwg vs ewg.
cheers to red stitching on your BM'S! lol. love mine.
My must haves were:
1: Msport
2: Nav/ Technology
3: cold weather
4: Xenon or LEDs
5: Comfort Access
6: Rear Camera
Bonus, not HK so no issue doing a Match Up 7BMW.
F31 so auto and xDrive were default and no MSport brakes or suspension...
The 328i M-Sport comes with standard brakes. I made that mistake trying to replace my pads on my own.
Hy, can u do a vid about what to upgrade before tuning bmw 335i or 328i like components idk...
can't agree with this video more, I didn't do research and bought a F30 basic line, now I spent lots and lots money to make it more like a MP car, and the 2015 front face as well.....
Definitely needed to clear bra my car. My car is brand new with a lot of front end chips.
What interior should I get if my bmw 328i 2013 is liquid blue
what suspension you using and wheels specs with tire and offset
I am looking to buy 320 diesel msport but I don’t know if i want manual or auto? I drive little bit of city road, mostly on highways, i had a manual car previously, Please reply
This man speaks FACTS!
Hahaha 🤘🏽
I wish that I had seen this before I bought mine, but I got lucky and hit all the points anyway!
Love the content dude
Nice thanks!
I agree on on most of your points apart from the manual transmission. The automatic 8 speed is already responsive and great.
Manual transmission in the UK are only available on low end 318 320 etc. Making the automatic transmission have a premium on top.
Having that clutch and being able to throw gears is one of the best feelings while driving a sports car. Automatic cars can‘t replicate that. Even in sport + mode with paddle shifting there is always a slight delay and it just lacks that driving experience. But everyone’s got their own ideal experience with these cars, that’s just mine 🤘🏽
Thic F30 I can completely agree with you on this but I don’t feel like F30 would be better suited with a manual. I had an E90 330d with a manual and hated the gearbox it felt clunky and also hated the gear shifter would shake in gear. I’ve never driven a petrol version of E90 or F30 in manual so it might be different.
The best manual transmission car I’ve driven is the Civic Type R FK2 and that car I can understand the transmission being better suited as a manual.
It’s a 8 speed ZF transmission it shifts milliseconds slower than a DCT way faster than a manual you said you plan on modifying it why would you want the slower manual transmission? Anybody serious about power in f30 would take the ZF any day for performance
Michael Rackson I don’t think I said I was serious about power performance in my f30, did I? Manual vs automatic is a driving experience preference for me. I like shifting the gears, I like pressing in the clutch, maybe you don’t..And that’s totally fine. My f80 will be manual, and I look forward to that.
Thic F30 you said in your video manual is better for modding all I’m saying is that it’s not. You may prefer the manual feel but ZF and the DCT in the f80 is always gonna be faster
What’s your exhaust setup?
If you really want a car that retains its value try to find an e46 m3 in manual. My only regret about buying my 335i was overestimatin the miles I’d drive it per year. I could have gotten an e46 as a non daily driver and it most likely would be worth as much or more than what I paid for it originally
My 2012 535i had a back up camera 🤷🏾♂️
i just want black rims and a tint for my f30. thats all i rly want. maaaybe a nicer exhaust in the future
Better than the rear camera is the top view camera, which was actually why I bought my F30 in the first place. Imagine being able to park perfectly every time.
Interesting I have a 2015 but pre lci front headlights and I got it from the dealership. I wish I had comfort access, once you used it for a while you can’t go back lol
Someone corrected me, I guess it’s 2016+ in the USA that have the option of lci 🤷🏽♂️
How bad are the Hifi speakers compared to the Harmon Kardon. I'm coming from a Chevy with stock Bose that sounded pretty good
Hifi sounds fine to me but i would of liked to have the upgraded one
I like your fashion sense.
How much did the car cost?
Is your car all wheel drive? I’m looking to upgrade my e90 335i, most likely to an F10 535i or 435i, but I can’t seem to find anything rear wheel drive up here in Toronto Canada. Love the channel btw.
I’m rwd my man ✌🏽
I have a 435i M sport. It’s totally worth it and not to big like a 5 series but it’s whatever you’re comfortable with
What are the wheel inches??
Doing a lot mods like yours, but now I'm debating should I invest the money on the M performance brake system as the last mod to do. Any thoughts?
I would look into the 335 brake retrofit. Unless you have cash flow like Pablo Escobar.
Had a 14 f32 xdrive. Found it a little soft and traded it for an m4. Moral of the story, just get a full blown M...lol
What year is your f30 mate??
Also Don’t Buy A F30 With Beige Cream Interior, VERY ANNOYING TO CLEAN 🤦🏽♂️
JOLLY MARV - And ugly.
It’s ugly if it isn’t well maintained correct lmao 😂 I regret my interior, I guess u make stoooopid decisions when your 20 and impulsive 🤦🏽♂️
I bought mine 2 ish weeks ago and I can agree I haven’t deep clean the interior, but I can already feel the hassle.
Any good products that ca get rid of denim stains?
It really annoying but I bought some cleaner that cleans everything up good tho don’t really worry about to much
I think the F30 facelift came at 2016 not 2015. I got 2015 as a loaner and it was pre Lci.
2015 in Europe, 2016 in USA
+ Full black panel display 😀
Can you provide a link to the smoked sequential signals?
Check my videos
I got a 2015 f30 335iMSport white with red interior I regret not getting the manual transmission even tho auto is much faster manual is more fun
As someone w a nonmsport f30; during the buying process, the Msport version was consistently like 4-7 grand more. That can be a budget breaker; plus the regular is just as fast and fun to drive.
Where my 328i boys at? (cringes)
I know the feeling man. Lol
Got my 330e m sport with all the options but now I wanted the adaptive cruise control and 360 camera with auto parking assist. You will never satisfied imo. Not worth it to get a 60k f30 rather saved up for a m3 for the true performance. Mine is 59k but with extra gas saving running on pure electric
Hey man, have you managed to retrofit the reverse camera you spoke about? vlog on it?
Not yet, haven’t gotten one. Will soon tho
@@ThicWhips sick, just bought a 328i msport here in aus been watching your vlogs on cool shit to do to it haha keep it up man
For me I would have saved a little more and bought a
m performance 335i I got a loaded 328...I came from MBZ so I knew no better
