I love this car. My ideal version would be a JDM version (Subaru Alcyone) Coupé with the 6-cylinder, the OEM turbo added to it, 6MT, analogue gauges and those crazy 80’s looking wheels with the square grid-pattern.
If I understand correctly, Dolby did not make the stereo unit, it provided the noise reduction technology applicable to cassette tape players, that’s why you often see their logo on so many brands and models of cassette players.
They were so out of time in 1991. Imagine getting out of a '91 Ford Probe, Honda Prelude, or especially a '91 Nissan 240SX and climbing into a brand new '91 XT6. It'd be like going back a decade.
I remember seeing this car in my childhood years in the 1980's.. Same car used in the 1988 movie " Big" with Tom Hank's. Reminds me of the Mitsubishi Station used in 1982 movie " Cannon Ball Run ". Quirky and chiseled styling in my opinion.
@@eleanormassaro5195 i used to have a 1990 prelude si it was awesome but i had to get rid of it after like 2 yrs because i couldnt rlly daily it anymore since the part availability has started to dwindle for them:((
A dream 80s car of mine, wish they werent so hard to find 😅😅😅 I've only seen one or two in my travels and they were up on stands in someones driveway 💀💀💀
Your third XT! This makes your channel one of the awesomest channels on UA-cam! 👏👏👏
AT Oil Temp = Automatic Transmission Oil Temperature.
That was bugging me lol

Subaru Xt, reminds little bit 80's Honda Prelude
It looks like the maroon that came on the old Honda Preludes
I don't like the usual Subarus that everyone has.... but i really like this. The 1988 version is my fave.
The front end looks identical almost to a third gen honda prelude
I was just thinking the same thing!😁

Actually those door handles represent a smooth aero profile suitable for EV's, preferable over those silly pop-out affair things.
Craziest looking steering wheel ever!
I luv the Shoprite grocery store reference . Authentic east coast Union County, New Jersey for those who know.. Cool beans
So cool that you got to review different model years. It’s like tasting different vintages of the same wine. 😂
I had this car about 2000-2003, so it was especially out of place but it was fun.
Awesome. Gives me late 80s early 90s karate movie vibes.
Have you driven the Levorg? You seem to have a soft spot for Subaru, and that model is not available in USA.
I think OEM wheels keep me in the XT verse more than after market.... (80s futurism ) I understand that OEM wheels were probably very hard to find
It's incredibly clean.
When I was a kid, I called this the “square butt car”.
U can tell cyber truck had some influence from this
Now I want one. Thanks.
I also didn't remember this model going for so long (1991) - I guess I just remember everyone buying Subaru Justys....
Love these
i drive an XT6 Auto, love the car its misunderstood just like me..
i named her Skarlet Xt or just Skarlet
I think Subaru made a model called the RX which was slow but looked cool…. Anyone remember?
I would call its paint color black cherry red.
Spectacular condition.

Last I looked on marketplace I found 1 close.
The owner discovered a problem and ripped out most of the dash 🤦
Why not XT6 manual next?
@@Brian_Eugene_Lee Just XT Turbo manual which is turbo 4 cylinder.
I would say good luck finding one but he's obviously had no trouble finding any of the bunch of XTs he's previously reviewed lol
These always looked like a Great Value 3rd Gen Honda Prelude lol
That's a cool looking car. I get a real 70s vibe looking at the back!
Looks like the svx maroon
This car reminds me of the Nissan pulsar
These were nice.
Only 3 seconds on that weird steering wheel??
Very cool😊
That maroon looks somewhat close to the Mitsubishi Starion (Chrysler Conquest) though a bit more red and a bit less metal flake than the DSM cars....
The Starion was another cool, looking vehicle too!
3 speed auto subaru is AWD. what sharks.
Nice :)
Mazda or nissan maroon
Who cares about carbon when you have a Japanese classic JDM?
caraca é muito da hora 😁👍🎤🎤🇺🇸🇺🇸
Theses are weird cars. I don't what Subaru was thinking when designing the car
its ugly ..its eccentric.its weird ..buts its 4wd....
