Theres some phasing problem with the JBLs, 2nd clip, but this is the most useful way to demo speakers. The JBL s are projecting the vocals better and would be the winner if they had a sub. Missing a couple of lower octave but good demo!
Great video! The Mauis seem to have a crisper high end and to be less rich in the midrange than the IRX108BT's. The Mauis also seem to be more dynamic in the lower sub range, difficult to judge on a video but it feels like it has the sound of a system that's got a pretty bulky sub range without being muddy. Is the Maui 5 Go easy to carry around? I'm often on travelling on trains and it be great if it was portable to that extent :). Thanks for the demo!
Thank you! They are very lightweight... I would recommend the padded cases - very portable and protective. The Maui 5 Go's speaker screens are a bit on the flimsy side. I managed to dent one on the hi/mid section and have been extremely careful. The handle on the sub is a bit awkward - not bad to pick up and carry - but I always feel like I'm going to damage the sub when setting it down. Hope this helps!
@@bestproaudio4255 Thanks a lot for your reply! Just noticed you uploaded the video today, nice coincidence! :) Looks like I'd have to be careful with it if I were to buy it, but I suppose that's one of the compromises that you have to make when you buy a lighter set of speakers. Did you have any headroom left with the Mauis in the video or did you push the volume to the max? It seems to me like it's quite loud for such a portable system :)
I pushed them to moderate clipping. They will go louder with substantial clipping (constant) and audible distortion... They are roughly at 9 o'clock for the video!
Have you tried the Bose S1's? A pair of those are extremely portable... Reverb, two channels + bluetooth... Perfect fit for you I'd think... The Maui's are nice - but I keep going back to the Bose... Not as powerful - but with a Bose Sub1 and a battery pack... Whoa - it's killer. Takes the lows off of the Bose S1's and really let's 'em sing. Backpack for an S1 and a rolling case for the sub... I know it's $$$, but it really puts the Maui's to shame. I had a pair of Bose L1 Compacts and this little system is better IMHO... Just my 2 cents!
I like the Maui's BUT...there are no bodies there. The IRX would clearly cut through warm bodies and the Mauis would turn into muddle sound. So Mauis if nobody was there, the IRX wins in a crowd of people.
What a nice video bro! Thank you! I'm thinking in purchase two JBL cabins with Behringer XR12 for my band. (For small shows) On the Video, Maui sound great, I think that the JBL's sound a little bit worst but I could hear Phase cancel then probably the sync is better in the Maui. How did you sycronized it? Thanks and Hugh from Colombia!
I used the internal bluetooth for both sets of speakers. I also try to max the sound without clipping. The JBL was clipping intermittently - that could be what you are hearing. I use a stereo mic (Azden SMX-30) with a Sony A6100 and drop straight to Sony Vegas.
The Maui has a fuller sound and I am a JBL owner so im being very hnest ...that said i think JBL sounded a bit crsipier and louder but MAUI HAD A FULL SOUND and for ceremony or cocktail i would rather use maui 5

Thanks for the review. Does 108bt vs 112bt sounds same or 112 will little better?
I’ve found Maui better in clarity and JBL sounds inferior sound?
Best review. Straight to playing the music and I’ll decide what I want
Thank you!! I hope it helped!
What battery do you use for powered the Jbls? Can you share the link for purchase please?

Bose s1 o jbl irx the best in quality sound?

I agree! Thanks for your comment!!
The Maui's have zero high end, and a muddy middle. Hard to compare the low end since one 8" woofer is on the ground and one is 6' off the ground.

@@bestproaudio4255 great song…is there a download available?
@@OunstedHochfelder I'm sorry - there isn't at this point. I'll be sure to share on the channel if that changes!

I i have jbl irx 108 bt it's a good sound 🔥👍
I agree! Best sound and weight for the money I think...
They sound is amaizing but they have some problems with the bluetooth...!
Is this test done with cable for sync or tws mode bluethoot?
Bluetooth
@@bestproaudio4255 so using tws connection it became real stereo sound left/right?
@@lucabertolaso2167 IRX supports wireless stereo bluetooth. Maui stereo bluetooth requires one cable connection between speakers.
