It's so tragic that her life was cut short by such a simple mistake. What's even more tragic is this is a bit more common than we think. I've heard of reports of VERY close calls where planes nearly crashed simply because there was too much stuff on board. I didn't like the movie Queen of the damned because it was so vastly different from the novel by the late Anne Rice but Aaliyah truly lived up to her name and did what she could with the role. She played Akasha, the mother of all the modern vampires such as Armand and Lestat. It was a memorable performance but sadly, great acting alone cannot save a bad film.

If I had the ability to sing like her I’d never speak again! I'd sing everything!! Oh, what a treasure she was! I understand too that her rise in Hollywood wasn't easy.. Diet pills Diet pills Diet pills! Because they said she was plump.. That's horrible to do to anyone.. But in spite of all the hardships, she endured and was able to leave this world a legacy of such a beautiful determined individual.. With an angelic voice that is so very her own.. Great video. I loved Aaliyah, damn I loved her pretty self. That was sad how she died. Like to hear the history of the people that was here before me. I knew about a few of them, like to hear about the people, I had never heard of before, great history. RIP to those folks.

Great job, and great video, as always. Can't wait to see part 5! I remember JamMaster Jay, and thanks to our Jewish Bros and Sisters for their talents and crafts in their time, and to Malcolm X and Paul Robeson for their contributions for the Civil Rights movement (your works were not in vain❤️❤️) and Joan Crawford was an amazing actor! She was really good, all of the actresses were! I was sad all over again, when I saw Aaliyah's resting place, because I loved her music, and she's my sister's favorite singer/actress, and my dad's favorite, too. He died in 2004, and he'd always had a crush on her, lol 😆. We saw both of her movies(Queen of the Damned and Romeo Must Die) together, and we have all of her cassettes and CDS. I even saw her "Making The Video" for her last video/song, "Rock the Boat" episode on MTV when it aired before she died and for a long time people thought that the pilot had been under the influence of drugs and was flying the plane, despite being high and the plane being severely overloaded, but somehow, I don't think that is true anymore, it was just a terrible accident....i still remember right where I was when I found out she had died:
It was the day before I started high school for the first time in 2001, and about two weeks before the events of 9/11, and I was in my room cleaning up and getting ready for my first year of high school the next day, while watching MTV(or BET, I can't remember) and all of a sudden, a breaking news report showed up and that's when I heard the headline, it was short, but it hurt my heart when I heard it-" singer and actress, Aaliyah, died in a plane crash today at the age of 22"..I stopped what I was doing and ran to my sister's room crying, telling her that Aaliyah was gone, and we sat and watched the report again later that afternoon. All MTV and BET music stations played ALL of her hit songs, back to back until the end of the week, and every music shop in town sold out of all of her albums and tapes. I'm sure that there were many singers who were also actors, who were really good, but Aaliyah was one of the best. Not just because her aunt is THE Gladys Knight, but Aaliyah was a bright, amazing, funny, talented and gifted young lady, and everyone loved her, including me and my family. Even 17 years later, I still can't listen to her songs, or watch her films; because it makes me so sad to listen to them. She was(and still is) one of the greats, and even in 2018-19, would have been better than most of the singers/actors of today. I miss her so much, but I know that she is one of Heaven's beautiful angels, singing for her Lord and Savior, and my dad, lol 😆, and she will live on in her music and in our hearts forever. Rest well, Aaliyah ❤️😢

Gershwin also has a theater named after him on Broadway. Wicked plays there. Very cool. And also. Very cool of you for not bringing up Joan Crawfords family drama. People tend to forget about everything she was and did because of it. Nicely done.

I loved it when he show cab Calloway's resting place and the lyrics to his songs that he played .I still can't get over that he was married to Mahalia Jackson the gospel singer. Also Aaliyah's resting place as well I am still a big fan to this day of Aaliyah and it was so sad of what happened to her and that the plane was overloaded and crashed on a fateful day.

Bravo again Mr Dark! These get better & better! I was so glad to see Tony Randall. One of my ultimate favorites.❤ I had no idea Basil Rathbone (another favorite) was buried here in the states. So many in this video passed away far too young. Not only were they cheated out of a long life, but when I think of all what we were cheated out of, it makes me cry. All this awesome talent wasted. What a shame. I look forward to each video, you never disappoint. Thank you so much. Have a Merry Christmas & the Happiest of New Years. The same for whoever helps you create these awesome videos. Not only that, but your productions have a quality that is beyond compare. Such class, style, and respect for the dearly departed.
