Stunning display. Only caveat though would be to say the witnessed "COBRA" maneuver isn't actually a true cobra maneuver. In the actual maneuver the plane does NOT gain altitude when pitching up. The SU-35 is the best at this maneuver that I've seen. Thanks for capturing this demo and posting!
@@EricksonAviationMediaI can imagine the chance of surviving and argument with a fighter pilot over what names or pronouns to use without a broken nose would be slim.
What an amazing video! Great filming, and thanks to the clouds - some unbelievable vapour shots! I was at the airshow Friday night and Saturday; then watched this performance from a few kms away. Friday twilight brought out the very cool afterburner pattern that you don't see during daytime shows. But the Sunday cloud cover made for some amazing visuals. The tailslide section starting at 4:20 is awe-inspiring! I remember the Russians bringing their hot-shot SU planes to Abbotsford late 80's - early 90's and seeing a jet to a tailslide for the first time. This bring back fond memories!

The vapor clouds he makes are incredible!
Definitely makes for some cool photos!
Wow! It's awesome you were allowed on Huntingdon during the show! Usually they close it off.
Impressive video, thanks for sharing.
I'm lucky enough to know a few of the right people. Major thanks goes out to them.
Nice having a Raptor squadron based in the neighborhood 😊

I don't disagree with you, but the Raptor Demo team calls it a Cobra, so that's what I call it.

The X-31 used to be the best at doing a cobra maneuver. The Herbst maneuver aka J turn.
