Luthor was praying to Steppenwolf in the BvS scene (the scene was called "Communion" when it dropped on YT). He sees them as true gods, unlike the "false god" Superman because he believes "If God is all powerful, He cannot be all good." And Darkseid is pure evil. Steppenwolf with his horns and flight and his army of parademons look almost like Lucifer and his army of demons. Apocalypse looks like hell.

It seems like some people get confused by the Kryptonian mercurial "holograms" for some reason...I remember when WB dropped the scene where Luthor's praying to Steppenwolf's image on YT 'as a deleted scene, some people were pissed at how he looked. Like how do you not recognize it when you've seen it throughout Man of Steel? It's probably too novel an idea and some people have a hard time grasping it, which is fitting 'cause it should be difficult for us to grasp the technology of such an advanced race and planet.

The audience is in tune with Barry's speed so Superman appear a bit slower if you pay attention. So Barry is indeed the fastest man alive. Superman's just faster than everyone else but not on par with Barry.
Actually I just now realized something.. while you are right that the flash IS faster than superman, there is a precedent. Every scientist found it absolutely absurd that in the Christopher Reeves superman movie, he went so fast around the world in the reverse of the worlds' rotation so that it rotated backwards and rewound time to save Lois. It was absurd at the time-- but in retrospect, with this movie coming out.. Superman could indeed have filled the shoes of the flash here, but the only way he could muster enough will to reach such speeds would be if A) he already saw the flash do it and B) Lois had just been killed. So while you are correct, I think technically that movie means that superman technically did this already before the flash.

This movie actually looks and feels a lot like 300 unlike the other DCEU movies. I love that. It's a different franchise (Justice League) and should look and feel different than the Superman movies (Man of Steel and Batman v Superman) and Wonder Woman.
I think the most chilling part of the movie was when the flash was running, and all of a sudden Superman’s eye looked at him! The flash probably crapped his pants instantly knowing he’s not the fastest, that’s devastating. But it was so frigging cool looking and not expected at all. Such a good scene.

Unfortunately there will be no completion to this story. There is a lot of drama behind this film. Warner Brothers movie studios had been unhappy that the Zach Snyder films have not been as successful as the MCU franchise, so when Zach decided to step away from this movie after his daughter, Autumn's suicide. Snyder had already finished filming but they hadn't done the post-production work. They replaced him with the director of the first Avengers movie hoping he could "save" the franchise. The new director Joss Wheddon, essentially reshoot a new movie around a few scenes from this story. The new movie was released in theaters and did okay but it didn't really connect to the previous films and all the fans knew it. So after years of lobbying by fans to see the film Zack Snyder had filmed before he left, Warner Brothers finally agree to let him complete his original version. Personally I think they only did this because they thought it would do poorly and the fans would hate it, so they could show they made the right call with the version they showed in theaters. But the opposite happened. This film is so much better than the theatrical release and it's not even close. I saw the 2018 movie and it wasn't horrible but after I saw this version that other movie is dead to me and I hate they tried to trick the fans when they said it was the same movie Zack was planning. I think WB wanted this film to fail because even after it was well received they were adamant that they were not going to go any further with the Zack Snyder storyline. The new movies about DC superheroes are going to be a movie reboot. Some comic book info on the characters In the comics the Justice League was formed in the 1960s by 7 superheroes, 6 of which appear in this film Superman. Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman and The Martian Manhunter are original members. The other original member who was not seen in this film was Green Lantern (Hal Jordan). The Green Lanterns are like police in outer space, you see one of them in the movie in the Heroes battle with Darkseid , the guy with the Green Ring. Cyborg in the comics was created in the 1980's as part of another superhero team call the New Teen Titans. However in 2011 his origins were reconned and he was a early member of the Justice League, kind of like this movie but not exactly. The guy you see Luthor talking to on the yacht is Deathstroke: The Terminator. He is an assassin. He was also created in the same comic book series as Cyborg. In fact it was the 2nd issue of that series. Darkseid is a character from a comic book series called The New Gods. He is the evil ruler of the planet Apokolips and the enemy of the good gods from the planet New Genesis. Over time and mostly due to animated shows he has become a main villain to Superman.
Warner Bros is incapable of getting out of its own way, even back to Superman (1978). If they had their way then that would have been screwed up. Look no further than how it went from half way into 2 and on to how they thought it should go. I’ve always been amazed they didn’t f up Batman (1989) but they certainly had … input … on the others in that series. Mr. Freeze anyone? Bueller? Bueller? Anyone?

Remember in Batman v Superman where flash came from the future to warn Batman about Superman? Flash said she (Louis Lane) was the key? Then at the end of this movie Joker said Batman let Louis Lane die. It's like an alternative timeline. Maybe it happens maybe it doesn't. Also in Batman v Superman remember when Batman was in the desert fighting all the soldiers with Superman logos and the flying parademons? And Superman was evil and grabbed Batman's heart? In this movie Darkseid had his hand on Superman's shoulder when Superman was crying holding the skeleton of Louis Lane in Cyborg's vision. Maybe in the future Louis Lane dies then Darkseid manipulates Superman's mind into becoming a bad guy. Something like that. Who knows for sure but something like that.

There were supposed to be 2 more films in the Snyderverse and multiple solo films that would combine in, including the one where Batman faces off against Deathstroke, whom you saw at the end. What happens, is that when Darkseid comes to Earth, he kills Lois Lane weakening Superman and using antilife to control him to help conquer Earth, and the Justice League has to fight Superman under the control of anti-life and Darkseid. The 2nd film would see this battle, and in the end, Barry is sent back to warn Bruce like he tried in the first film, but now knowing what is going to happen via Barry, Bruce gets in the way and sacrifices himself instead of letting Lois die, and Superman shows up mad that Darkseid killed Bruce, and defeats him resetting the timeline to avoid the one in the 2nd film where Darkseid conquers. Lex Luther with the Legion of Doom, helps Darkseid to defeat the Justice League only to be betrayed by Darkseid, so in the future, you see Deathstroke and the Joker both joining with the Justice League to try to defeat the Evil Superman under Darkseid's control. It would have been a great trilogy, but then WB decided they did not want a DARK DC Series and tried to change everything to be funny and bright like Disney and threw the fans under the bus, saying the Snyderverse fans were toxic, and they wrecked and destroyed everything, and are now trying to reboot everything under James Gun to be like Disney and Marvel. I'm done with giving WB and DC any more of my money, I'm not going to any more of their films, all of their films have failed since turning on the fans! When the James Gunn films fail, WB will finish going bankrupt, and hopefully, someone else can buy the franchise and do better! James Gunn's 2nd Suicide Squad was a complete failure at the box office, and fans hated it. I tried watching it for 45 minutes and had to turn it off, because it never got better, only worse. James Gunn ending to Peacemaker on HBO MAX had him humiliating the League, and the Flash film showed a stupid Flash like the Josh Weadon Justice League. WB has totally failed their audience and fandom. Now go watch Josh Weadon's re-write they gave us of Justice League in 2017. Snyderverse fans were lied to and told the Snyder Version of Justice League didn't exist, but when AT&T bought WB, they forced the release and gave Zack the money to finish production in special effects on the film he shot, and Josh rewrote and tore apart, so they could get more subscribers on HBO MAX, that is the only reason you get to watch the film WB tried to bury! Now you know why the fans HATE WB. After it was released in 2021 on HBO MAX, WB studio execs said they would not finish Zack Snyder's films and called his fans toxic and said we were BOTS on Twitter when the 2021 release won a fan voted Oscar for Barry resetting the timeline! There is no love left between the fans and Warner Brothers.

That ending teaser that Bruce was dreaming about is a sequel that will never happen now because Zach Snyder is no longer working on DC films. The studio is rebooting the DC universe with new actors and a new director James Gunn (did Guardians of the Galaxy movies)
I love James Gunn so I have hope, but I'm still sad to see someone other than Henry Cavill playing Superman. I just hope Gunn can pull off a unified vision for DC well

This part did cause some confusion among fans, because while it was cool to watch, people didn't quite understand it's relevance. There's a story that is liked to a Netherrealm Studios game called Injustice where Joker used Scarecrow's fear toxin to trick Superman into killing Lois (he though it was Doomsday), which triggers a bomb that destroys Metropolis. Superman went insane, kills Joker, and goes "no mercy" on evil, even if it meant killing good guys and becoming a world dictator.

Nope. You're the one who's dumb. They're confused by many things since they're from a different culture. It's one of the greatest scene ever...something you'll never see in the MCU. The Icelandic villagers think of him as an elf (most Icelandic people believe in the existence of the race of elves, not the fairytale versions, original Germanic version that inspired LotR) and revere him in awe and are singing in tribute to him. It's a realistic portrayal of different people would see superheroes.

In the DC comic, there are darker version of JL called Injustice League where Superman turn evil and hunting all the good guys and bad guys, so they are forced to put aside their conflict, united to fight against Superman. And Zack was meant to explore that comic content on the sequel, by giving a reason on how Superman turn evil, for eg, with Louis death, and Darkseid obtain that so called Anti-life equation, so that Darkseid can control Superman mind in his weak mentality state, just like how Loki control Hawkeye with the Scepter(mind stone) in Avenger 1. This was a fun reaction and the girls looked beautiful. Their excitement is always contagious. While this version was certainly better but sadly we’ll never see Snyders vision come to fruition. It would’ve been so interesting. All the stuff at the end was just a big tease but I’m glad that the fans worked so hard that the studio caved and let HBO put up the money to let Snyder finish it. I liked the DCEU very much but it seems that it just wasn’t meant to be.
Catwoman is actually an Anti-Hero meaning at times she is good, but most of the times she still does bad things...meaning if she see's something very valuable her inner thief will most likely will take over and steal something even from an innocent rich person...Batman don't fully mind when CatWoman steals from very wicked bad people it's only when it's towards good-hearted innocent people is when Batman can't turn a blind eye to Catwoman's thievery.

He sees them as true gods, unlike the "false god" Superman because he believes "If God is all powerful, He cannot be all good." And Darkseid is pure evil. Steppenwolf with his horns and flight and his army of parademons look almost like Lucifer and his army of demons. Apocalypse looks like hell.

It seems like some people get confused by the Kryptonian mercurial "holograms" for some reason...I remember when WB dropped the scene where Luthor's praying to Steppenwolf's image on YT 'as a deleted scene, some people were pissed at how he looked. Like how do you not recognize it when you've seen it throughout Man of Steel? It's probably too novel an idea and some people have a hard time grasping it, which is fitting 'cause it should be difficult for us to grasp the technology of such an advanced race and planet.

Actually I just now realized something.. while you are right that the flash IS faster than superman, there is a precedent. Every scientist found it absolutely absurd that in the Christopher Reeves superman movie, he went so fast around the world in the reverse of the worlds' rotation so that it rotated backwards and rewound time to save Lois. It was absurd at the time-- but in retrospect, with this movie coming out.. Superman could indeed have filled the shoes of the flash here, but the only way he could muster enough will to reach such speeds would be if A) he already saw the flash do it and B) Lois had just been killed. So while you are correct, I think technically that movie means that superman technically did this already before the flash.

This movie actually looks and feels a lot like 300 unlike the other DCEU movies. I love that. It's a different franchise (Justice League) and should look and feel different than the Superman movies (Man of Steel and Batman v Superman) and Wonder Woman.
I think the most chilling part of the movie was when the flash was running, and all of a sudden Superman’s eye looked at him! The flash probably crapped his pants instantly knowing he’s not the fastest, that’s devastating. But it was so frigging cool looking and not expected at all. Such a good scene.

Unfortunately there will be no completion to this story. There is a lot of drama behind this film. Warner Brothers movie studios had been unhappy that the Zach Snyder films have not been as successful as the MCU franchise, so when Zach decided to step away from this movie after his daughter, Autumn's suicide. Snyder had already finished filming but they hadn't done the post-production work. They replaced him with the director of the first Avengers movie hoping he could "save" the franchise. The new director Joss Wheddon, essentially reshoot a new movie around a few scenes from this story. The new movie was released in theaters and did okay but it didn't really connect to the previous films and all the fans knew it. So after years of lobbying by fans to see the film Zack Snyder had filmed before he left, Warner Brothers finally agree to let him complete his original version. Personally I think they only did this because they thought it would do poorly and the fans would hate it, so they could show they made the right call with the version they showed in theaters. But the opposite happened. This film is so much better than the theatrical release and it's not even close. I saw the 2018 movie and it wasn't horrible but after I saw this version that other movie is dead to me and I hate they tried to trick the fans when they said it was the same movie Zack was planning. I think WB wanted this film to fail because even after it was well received they were adamant that they were not going to go any further with the Zack Snyder storyline. The new movies about DC superheroes are going to be a movie reboot.
Some comic book info on the characters
In the comics the Justice League was formed in the 1960s by 7 superheroes, 6 of which appear in this film Superman. Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman and The Martian Manhunter are original members. The other original member who was not seen in this film was Green Lantern (Hal Jordan). The Green Lanterns are like police in outer space, you see one of them in the movie in the Heroes battle with Darkseid , the guy with the Green Ring.
Cyborg in the comics was created in the 1980's as part of another superhero team call the New Teen Titans. However in 2011 his origins were reconned and he was a early member of the Justice League, kind of like this movie but not exactly. The guy you see Luthor talking to on the yacht is Deathstroke: The Terminator. He is an assassin. He was also created in the same comic book series as Cyborg. In fact it was the 2nd issue of that series.
Darkseid is a character from a comic book series called The New Gods. He is the evil ruler of the planet Apokolips and the enemy of the good gods from the planet New Genesis. Over time and mostly due to animated shows he has become a main villain to Superman.

Remember in Batman v Superman where flash came from the future to warn Batman about Superman? Flash said she (Louis Lane) was the key? Then at the end of this movie Joker said Batman let Louis Lane die. It's like an alternative timeline. Maybe it happens maybe it doesn't.

There were supposed to be 2 more films in the Snyderverse and multiple solo films that would combine in, including the one where Batman faces off against Deathstroke, whom you saw at the end. What happens, is that when Darkseid comes to Earth, he kills Lois Lane weakening Superman and using antilife to control him to help conquer Earth, and the Justice League has to fight Superman under the control of anti-life and Darkseid. The 2nd film would see this battle, and in the end, Barry is sent back to warn Bruce like he tried in the first film, but now knowing what is going to happen via Barry, Bruce gets in the way and sacrifices himself instead of letting Lois die, and Superman shows up mad that Darkseid killed Bruce, and defeats him resetting the timeline to avoid the one in the 2nd film where Darkseid conquers.
Lex Luther with the Legion of Doom, helps Darkseid to defeat the Justice League only to be betrayed by Darkseid, so in the future, you see Deathstroke and the Joker both joining with the Justice League to try to defeat the Evil Superman under Darkseid's control.
It would have been a great trilogy, but then WB decided they did not want a DARK DC Series and tried to change everything to be funny and bright like Disney and threw the fans under the bus, saying the Snyderverse fans were toxic, and they wrecked and destroyed everything, and are now trying to reboot everything under James Gun to be like Disney and Marvel.
I'm done with giving WB and DC any more of my money, I'm not going to any more of their films, all of their films have failed since turning on the fans!
When the James Gunn films fail, WB will finish going bankrupt, and hopefully, someone else can buy the franchise and do better! James Gunn's 2nd Suicide Squad was a complete failure at the box office, and fans hated it. I tried watching it for 45 minutes and had to turn it off, because it never got better, only worse.
James Gunn ending to Peacemaker on HBO MAX had him humiliating the League, and the Flash film showed a stupid Flash like the Josh Weadon Justice League. WB has totally failed their audience and fandom.

There's a story that is liked to a Netherrealm Studios game called Injustice where Joker used Scarecrow's fear toxin to trick Superman into killing Lois (he though it was Doomsday), which triggers a bomb that destroys Metropolis. Superman went insane, kills Joker, and goes "no mercy" on evil, even if it meant killing good guys and becoming a world dictator.
The scene with aquaman returning to the ocean while he's drinking a bottle of whiskey really does remind me of an aftershave advert.

Nope. You're the one who's dumb. They're confused by many things since they're from a different culture. It's one of the greatest scene ever...something you'll never see in the MCU. The Icelandic villagers think of him as an elf (most Icelandic people believe in the existence of the race of elves, not the fairytale versions, original Germanic version that inspired LotR) and revere him in awe and are singing in tribute to him. It's a realistic portrayal of different people would see superheroes.

I love how everyone is explaining all the heroes and villains that are popping up in this movie, except 1. Green Lantern (Hella mentioned "Lord of The Rings") it was a quick second but I knew what she meant. Green Lantern is like justice league but they recruit throughout the Galaxies. Btw Autumn is Zack daughter who passed away during the filming session of this film, that's why he quit this job midway to mourn for her before he finish the film and end up with Joss Whedon took over and deliver that circus abomination on theatre instead.
In the DC comic, there are darker version of JL called Injustice League where Superman turn evil and hunting all the good guys and bad guys, so they are forced to put aside their conflict, united to fight against Superman.
And Zack was meant to explore that comic content on the sequel, by giving a reason on how Superman turn evil, for eg, with Louis death, and Darkseid obtain that so called Anti-life equation, so that Darkseid can control Superman mind in his weak mentality state, just like how Loki control Hawkeye with the Scepter(mind stone) in Avenger 1.
Well, if you are an executive in WB, would you greenlit on such darker idea of JL sequel? I guess that's how it end up where it is now.

The guy motivating Lois thar took the appearance of Martha Kent was the Martian Manhunter another good guy and future member of the Justice League, he is arguably stronger than Superman last of his kind of the extinct race of people from Mars.
In the comics Darksaad manipulates Superman into becoming evil Dark Superman both the Superheroes and Super villains have to join together to defeat them it's in an alternate time line the happens when Lois Lane gets killed and Batman couldn't prevent it that's why Lois is the key.

This was a fun reaction and the girls looked beautiful. Their excitement is always contagious. While this version was certainly better but sadly we’ll never see Snyders vision come to fruition. It would’ve been so interesting. All the stuff at the end was just a big tease but I’m glad that the fans worked so hard that the studio caved and let HBO put up the money to let Snyder finish it. I liked the DCEU very much but it seems that it just wasn’t meant to be.

Catwoman is actually an Anti-Hero meaning at times she is good, but most of the times she still does bad things...meaning if she see's something very valuable her inner thief will most likely will take over and steal something even from an innocent rich person...Batman don't fully mind when CatWoman steals from very wicked bad people it's only when it's towards good-hearted innocent people is when Batman can't turn a blind eye to Catwoman's thievery.
