I live in a small log cabin, I have a completely home made Christmas tree. Each yr I try to add something new. These will b perfect!! Thnx for the easy to follow tutorial and for making my Christmas a little brighter. PS.. you have a very soothing voice.
Susan, these will be perfect for your beautiful log cabin home, these colors are so earthy and gorgeous on your tree! I agree with the sound of his voice, his tutorials are so quick and easy, yet so doable :) Merry Christmas! 🎄 p.s. I am looking for some quick and easy ornaments to add to my Christmas cards that are flat and won’t take up too much space ;) 💗🎄💗
Oh if you like soothing voiced tutorials, lol, try out iknitwithcatfur... her voice is soooooo soothing, I knit and crochet, so I knit while I watch her videos, you could crochet while you watch... some of her earlier ones are when she is outside and you can hear birds chirping, some times she is inside and you can hear the dryer going which is soothing and her sweet little child cooing, lolllll ... 🤗💗🤗
MSUma I've never watched her, but I'll definitely look for her. I prefer tutorials I can work along with. I live alone so it's almost like I have company. its nice when it's not so sterile, and dead silent. I watch alot of card making tutorials and I really enjoy it when you can here the dog snoring beneath, or the cat keeps trying to steel things off the table.
I've never run to the store to go buy yarn for a project faster - I've been making these nonstop, and I'm so excited to give them to literally everyone I know! Thank you for this awesome tutorial, it was super easy for even a beginner like me to follow!!
I'm a total beginner and I've just made the first half of my first one and it actually looks like yours (although not quite so neat) and I'm jumping for joy! Can't wait to finish this and make lots more. You make it really easy and explain so clearly. Thanks so much! :D
Wow, you are a very very good teacher. I also teach crocheting and knitting for about 8 years now. I come across some who know how to crochet/knit but should leave the teaching to others. You have a great teaching style and are easy to follow. Thank you for putting this cute pattern on Utube and presenting it so well.
This is a very nice crocheted ornament...I start all my circular centers with the Magic Circle, I have started doing this since I was 10 years old, I am now in my 70s. I always called it "closing up the center", lo and behold, it now is a magic circle. I only wrapped the yarn one time around my finger and just pulled the yarn through, that seemed to work for me. I will try it your way, thanks so much for sharing, I enjoy your videos, all the best, Michelle
I totally ruined the magic circle (like always) but just worked a nice four chains and a slip stich to replace it... Now ten minutes later I have a wonderful christmas tree ornament and thanks to YOU, I am very proud of it! A hundred more to go so I can offer them to everyone around. The loose ends stuffing is a really, really useful trick. Thank you so much from Paris, France!
Omg I’ve been trying and trying to do the magic circle and your video showed me in two minutes what I was doing wrong and how to do it correctly . Also working the ring over the finger is brilliant ! I actually got a beautiful piece of crochet ! What a great explanation and tutorial ! Thank you !!!!
I cannot tell you how long i have struggled to crochet round ball ornaments. All those increases and decreases and cursing. Why did i never think to make two flat ones and join them together like this? Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. I'm watching this on Dec 28th as i always look for next years ideas while i'm still in the holiday spirit 🙂 i believe these are definitely going to make the list of things i'll be making next year. Thank you so much for this tutorial.
Thanks so much for your really clear video and instructions. I am unable to follow any written patterns so it is so lovely to have a tutorial that is so easy to watch. I have been making these non stop for the last few days in various colour combos. I look forward to watching more. Once again thank you😊
just followed your instructions and made a beautiful one in blue and white, your pattern and instructions are easy to follow and it looks GREAT thanks a lot for sharing
I loved this pattern. Went right out today and bought the yarn to match yours. I lucked out and it was on sale, buy two get one free! The ease and simplicity of the pattern is just fantastic. Instead of leaving long tails on the ends I opted to go into my scrap basket and use scraps of yarn that wouldn't be enough to make anything with and used it for my stuffing. I don't know if you are anything like me but I can't stand to throw away even the littlest scrap. So this made me feel that I finally found a useful solution for them. Thanks for this great Christmas idea.
This may be the best Crochet ornament/tutorial I've ever seen. Your attention to quality and detail is impeccable and you have a great teaching style. Thank you so much for sharing!
Just saw this video today and made one it came out beautiful. I have a bunch of scrap yarn that I didn't know what to do with it and now am just going through my stash. Thank you for sharing.
I'm making my kids a set of crochet ornaments this year. Just finished making this one following your tutorial. Thank you! Easy to make, easy to follow and it's a cute addition to the set.
Hi there, this ornament is beautiful. You are wonderful teacher, the instructions were easy to follow which inspired me to get started and I have made about two dozen ornaments as xmas gifts. Thank you very very much sharing your knowledge. Happy Crocheting----
Thank you for this video! I used your pattern and made lots of these ornaments and gave them as gifts for my family this past Christmas (2018). They loved them! And I even made some for my own tree. So easy, so much fun to make! Oh, and in case you haven't tried it, I made a lot of these using sparkly yarns and they looked absolutely beautiful under the Christmas lights. Just an idea!
I am totally addicted to making these decorations. I am more of a knitting person, just knowing a bit about crocheting. These looked complicated but by following your video, I do them now without watching and everyone is asking for them. We have a very large family and each one looking for different colours. Great tutorial, great explanations as I went through the tutorial. I hope to find more of your tutorials as I have found my love for crocheting again. Thank you so much 😊
You are amazingly thorough in your teaching. Every question I had you immediately answered as part of your tutorial. Again, I've mentioned before with the snowman tutorial you did, it amazes me that you add the pattern just under the description box.
I made 2 and I Luv them so... much! I put them on my Christmas tree and they look so good! Thank you Crouton Crafts for doing this tutorial on a beautiful ornament... I needed this so... much.
Very cool and easy way to make a Christmas ornament. I will be making several. I checked out your channel and see you have not posted in a long time. I hope you come back and post more work.
I enjoyed your tutorial. I’ve made several of these now, thanks to you. You have a pleasant voice and do a nice job explaining. I’m a seasoned crocheter but did not know how to do the invisible join. Now I do. Thank you.
Enjoyed having a go at these. Only started to learn crochet about 5 weeks ago during the latest UK lockdown, so need to practice a bit (I keep losing count!) but mine looked pretty much like it should have done and very satisfying to create. Thank you for the tutorial.
Thank you for this video. Your voice is so soothing to listen to! I appreciate the even vocals, as some videos have 'high pitched voices' and I cannot watch them as they give me a migraine!! So I appreciate your soothing vocals. :)
Lovely Christmas ornament. My favourite tip is - At the end of row you’re ready to cut the yarn, don’t make a chain, there’s no need for it and it can show when you sew up, just cut the yarn and pull through, it won’t unravel. Try it.
Only found your video a few days ago. This looks an ideal new project for me, to use my small amounts of yarn colours. Will be giving it a try. Thank you for sharing this lovely pattern.
I watch all your tutorials and I love everything you crochet! Thank you for for teaching me so many fun and beautiful crochet projects! you are great at this!
Great tutorial! Thank you! I used a 4.5mm hook and some Caron Simply Soft and some Loops and Threads, Soft and Shiny yarn for these. I did leave my tails long for stuffing but I upcycled and crocheted both sides around a used, clean, standard mason jar seal as I never reuse the seals.
I think these are really lovely & they seem so easy to do !!!!! Love the colours as well. Thank you very much, for such clear instructions. Happy crocheting. 🙂
I have just come across your christmas ornaments and you showed how to make them with great instructions l just loved the way you took your time in every detail thank you ever so much
So glad to see one of your instructional UA-cams again! Seems like it's been a long time. I don't crochet as much as I knit but I think I could do this! Your directions are very clear! Thank you!
I have been trying to do the magic ring and could not get it .. thanks to your video I was able to get it done .. The ease of this ornament was great as well .. Thank you
Great video and great project! Thank you for sharing this! I made some of these with a metallic/viscose yarn called “Flash It” from Hobbii and they are sparkly and wonderful!
OMG, I usually shy away from patterns that have changing colors. I hate weaving the end in. I'm so gonna do this! Thank you for such an awsome pattern!
