Ironically, I waited until morning to watch so I could stay awake for this entire video, and I’m so glad I did because there’s so much care, preparation, and artistry here. It must have taken you hours and hours to film and edit. The technical parts were particularly well done-pulling the gravel bits from above the eye/lens, likewise with the stitches, the light & vision-work (including spelling SLEEP and tracing the color-blind path-did you set up a mirror?), and the use of props (love the sun-catcher orb, might have to buy one… and the optical illusions were super). Sound-wise, I appreciated the absence of some sounds (like the decision to try one without any heartbeats added) and the natural occurrence of others (like the taste test done with fizzy water). Of course your natural voice is your tour-de-force, with my favorite bit of all being the ear-to-ear words at the very end. By the way, as an Audacity user myself, I suspect you might join me in sponsoring a fundraiser for the development of specific sound-removal filters-for me it would be coughs during live concerts, and for you, you might like one for bird caws? 😉 Overall, another superior addition to your already brilliant body of work. This one took 6-8hrs to plan and set up, 3ish hrs to film and another 6 or so hours to edit! They can certainly be quite time consuming but I have definitely got a little quicker around Final Cut and Audacity since I started, which makes longer videos much more achievable :) Thank you so much for noticing all of those little details! I did indeed set up a mirror (in part to practise for an ophthalmology video 😉) but it's hard not to look without it being obvious so I will persevere! Very interesting to hear that you use audacity too! I completely agree about the sound removal filter and funny as I'd just responded to another comment of yours about those very same birds - that was on a quiet day too!! @@ASMRTreasury Watching the video again, I think the focus issue may have been caused by the lighting and the position of the Snellen chart. The chart was very near to your head in the frame and was well lit, and your face was partially in shadow, so your phone struggled to decide which to focus on. I think in other videos, the chart may have been more off to the side and your face more uniformly lit? Also, the triangle arrangement/proximity to each other of the black frames of your medical images on the other side of your face might have caught the autofocus attention as well. Some possibilities anyway… Good luck & cheers!

It’s crazy having those loud beeping noises on-an ASMR videos three quarters of the way in! It’s not a real examination so for Gods sake, don’t start making loud noises at the very moment someone is drifting off to sleep! It ruins the video and the experience! Give some thought to what you are supposed to be doing, I.e making someone drift off to sleep, instead of concentrating on how real the scenario is! This is a rookie mistake in asmr ! Otherwise these videos are amazing but hopefully I have made a point here that will be listened to ?

It’s not a real examination so for Gods sake, don’t start making loud noises at the very moment someone is drifting off to sleep! It ruins the video and the experience! Give some thought to what you are supposed to be doing, I.e making someone drift off to sleep, instead of concentrating on how real the scenario is! This is a rookie mistake in asmr ! Otherwise these videos are amazing but hopefully I have made a point here that will be listened to ?
